Tejina sat still looking at Vicious, fear clearly in her eyes. She struggled again trying to keep quiet, though it was clear she was truly scared. Tears fell down her cheeks leaving dirty trails. Spike woke after a while and stretched. He noticed Ed sleeping on the floor and scratched his head. /She must have worn herself out again./ He walked past her to check to see if Tejina and Jet had finished the repairs on the two smaller ships.

First thing he noticed was her ship was gone... The second was that the Bebop wasn't moving.

"Huh... Jet?" He called wondering where his partner had gone off to.

Several hours and curses later he had repaired the Swordfish and was on his way to Earth. "I hate Earth... Why did she have to chose Earth for the meeting."

That will give me at least two hours... and it will take them that long to find the place too.../ She nodded pulling a mask over her face as she went into the bowels of the ship.

Twenty minutes later Tejina was in her ship zooming out of the hangar door. "I'm sorry, but I can't let anyone else get hurt..." She said softly before heading towards Earth. She hoped that Spike and Jet would read the letter she had left on the windshield of the Swordfish.

Vicious left the small ship on auto-pilot while he sharpened his sword for the upcoming event.

"We should be arriving soon. I hope we arrive first. I do hate to arrive late." He said, grinning and running his blade across the stone he used to sharpen his sword. He then turned toward the sleeping bird. "Don't you?"

The bird gave a tired cooing sound, and went back to sleep.

"We're just lucky I learned from the best when it comes to these ships. "I'll try my best to fix it if Jet could get us to Earth." She asked looking over at him. Her soft eyes begging with him to help. It was clear that she was tired as well. Tejina stiffled a yawn witht he back of her hand. /Finish the repairs... then maybe I can grab a small nap... If not... I guess I'm going to trust that I have enough energy to be able to do what needs to be done./ She thought letting her head fall forward slightly.

"Fine....it's decided. We're going." Spike continued puffing on the cigarette lazily. "The question, do we really want to trust him to ACTUALLY honor his word, and go down there unarmed?"

He let the question hang in the air, before taking a heavy drag, and blowing another series of smoke rings.

"We should probably get these two patched up first, don't you? And then...we try to figure out a plan."

He leaned down, raising one foot, and stubbed the cigarette out on the sole of the shoe.

Vicious' face twisted into anger as he was cut off by Tejina.

"Not a good idea, Tejina." He said to the blank audio system.

Vicious decided to pick on the guy who was refilling the borrowed ship from the Syndicate to ease off some of the anger.

"Hey, you. I need to leave within the next 10 minutes. If you fail to perform, then there will be consequences. Got it?" Vicious gave the man a grin, while the man shakily nodded his head and went straight to work.

"That's better." Vicious said, laying back in a lazy position inside the ship.

After about 7 minutes of waiting, the mechanic came back and shakily said to Vicious, "You're ship's ready, sir."

Vicious, who had closed his eyes while waiting, opened one eye to look at the mechanic. He didn't exactly have the happiest face in the galaxy, either.

"It took you that long to fill up the fuel?" Vicious said, anger lacing his voice.

"B-but sir, it hasn't been that long since you told me, sir."

"I asked you a simple task, and you wasted my time." Vicious got up from the ship and looked down upon the mechanic. "It was an easy task, and should have been completed within a few minutes. Why wasn't it done sooner?"

Anger took over Vicious' voice. He then unsheathed his hidden katana, holding it in a two-hand stance, and lunged at the mechanic. The mechanic screamed as he saw the descending Vicious with katana aimed at his throat. he closed his eyes, undoubting of the inevitable.

After a few seconds' passing, the mechanic opened his eyes, sweat and oil dripping down his face. He saw Vicious standing not one foot away from him, and he saw Vicious' sword, not 10 millimeters away from his throat.

"You honestly thought I would kill you? You'd be a waste of my time." Vicious grinned at the man.

'Probably pissed his pants...' He laughed in his head.

He then returned to the ship, careful not to knock the sleeping black bird off its perch. "I'm taking off." He said simply as he started up the engine.

The small ship began to hover as the doors of the port opened to the outside world. The ship then left the port, barely being able to miss the roof.

"Hopefully it won't take too long to get to Earth, right, my little friend?" Vicious said, removing a hand from steering to scratch under the black bird's neck.

Jet entered into the hangar and shook his head. "Geez you two have got to be the slowest mechanics in the galaxy... I mean sheesh you've been here for..."

He cut himself short seeing the less than pleasant faces of Spike and Tejina. //kay I know I didn't leave them alone that long.// "All right spill it out... what happened... did Spike try and make a pass or something.. he's not the smoothest talker in the world but..." He fell silent to wait for a response.

"It's the only place I can think of that's resonably neutral territory." She clicked off the radio looking at Spike. I do not intend on facing him unarmed. Knowing him he'll have his sword with him. So we're bringing weapons." She said looking at her ship. "It will take me a few houre to make the repairs... Should we ask Jet to move us closer?" She asked. Her eyes showed she was terrified even though she sounded like she was holding herself together.

"Look Spike, it was the only thing I could think of. Would you rather he hunt us both down and kill everyone around us just because? I know how he thinks... He... He's the one that trained me." She said looking at the floor.

"This mean I can't carry a gun with me?" Spike asked, albiet redundantly. Not that he needed one, but...with certain people, one needed to have more than fists and feet...like a very big gun. That helped. "And did you ask if I wanted to go to Earth?" he continued, still leaning against the craft. He took out his pack of cigarettes, and lit one of them up, taking a drag on it. He blew some smoke rings, and looked over at Tejina.

Tejina thought a moment. /Where to go though... The only places I can really be safe is one of the planets further out... Though the bounty was meantioned on Big Shot... So I'll be lucky if I'll be able to move around.../ She tucked the hair out of her eyes. "Meet us on Earth..." She said softly. "The place you found me. I'll bring Spike there." She said softly. "No weapons. Leave your blade at home. I'll leave my explosives."

Spike's eyes narrowed, and he lost the relaxed look on his face. "You..." Then he smiled normally for a moment. "Sure we have. And only if you bring the scones," he said light-heartedly, resisting the very strong urge to smash his fist through the radio...and only because it wasn't his property. "So, been doing well? And did you miss me?" There was some light sarcasm evident in Spike's voice, and he rubbed at his eyes with the palms of one hand.

Somedays, it just paid to ignore the pretty faces....and this was definately one of those days.

Spike yawned, and stretched. Somehow, he'd fallen asleep.

He shrugged it off, since he sometimes did that after being on one of those duller jobs. He stood back up, and worked out the kinks in his arms, legs, and back before spotting Tejina talking with...someone.

Smilng a bit, he climbed up to the cockpit, and knocked out it, mouthing the words, "Is that a personal call?" before noticing absentmindedly that she was shaking like a leaf.

Usually, Vicious wasn't this sarcastic nor playful, but today was an exception. Having someone underneath him in power so close to someone he wanted to get rid of, well, it called for some humor. Even if humor wasn't a aprt of Vicious' way of life.

Vicious walked down the streets of Mars amongst the busy crowds. His katana was completely hidden from any wandering eyes. It's probably not a wise decision to let people know you have a deadly weapon on you.

A large, black bird sat on his shoulder, making him stand out enough. No one around him happened to be carrying a bird, so he was quite a sight and turned quite a few heads.

He was wearing his normal black pants, black boots, black shirt and Red Dragon Sydicate black coat. It was a rather warm day on Mars, yet he still didn't shed a layer.

Vicious finally reached his destination, the port in which he had parked a ship from the Syndicate he happened to 'borrow.' It was being refueled at the moment, but he climbed in the cockpit anyway.

'Maybe I should see how our little canary is doing?' He thought to himself.

The bird on his shoulder chose the back of the seat as a perch, watching Vicious' every move.

Vicious set all of the frequencies to the one he knew would get him his 'canary.' He waited for an answer before saying, "Where are you, Delicate Canary?"
