1. "And So It Begins"

While strange weather patterns occur around the world, seven kids - ages 11 and grade 5 are Taichi, Yammato, Sora; Ages 10 and grade 4 are Koushiro, Mimi; age 12 and grade 6 is Jyou; age 8 and grade 2 is Takeru - are transported to a mysterious new world, from their summer camp, where they encounter the Digimon - Digital monsters. Each kid having a partner Digimon - Koromon, Tsunomon, Pyocomon, Motimon, Tokomon, Tanemon and Pukamon - and a large, evil, beetle like Digimon, named Kuwagamon! What have they gotten themselves into?

2. "The Birth of Greymon"

Exploring their new world they end up on a beach with phone booths, except the phones just talk nonsense. Then they begin to make plans of rationing food, and where to go next when suddenly they’re attacked by Shellmon, an evil Digimon. Shellmon defeats all of the Digimon and captures Tai; this forces Agumon to digivolve to a more powerful form, named Greymon. Can even Greymon save them?

3. "Garurumon"

The kids set up camp for the night in an abandoned Street Car, on a small island in a lake, but are shocked when it turns out they're sleeping on the back of a giant Digimon - Seadramon! Seadramon then captures Yammato! Before the sea monster tosses them in the water, Gabumon must digivolve to Garurumon to try and rescue Yammato.

4. "Biyomon Gets Firepower"

As the kids walk across the jungle of meaningless road signs they spot a desert with power lines. They head out and discover that the power lines aren’t connected anymore. Finding it too late to turn back, Taichi spies a Village in the distance through his spy glass. When they arrive they find Pyocomon, or the In-training form of Piyomon. Piyomon instantly makes a connection with the Digimon. The kids also encounter the power of evil Black Gears when one turns a friendly Digimon, Meramon, into a deadly foe. Who blocked the village’s water supply and threatened to burn the village. As the Pyocomon are evacuated to a Titanic like ship Piyomon makes sure every last one comes, and then Sora risks her life to catch her friend, as she falls from slipping, as Meramon appears. Suddenly Piyomon digivolves into Birdramon! Will Birdramon have the power to stop his rampage?

5. "Kabuterimon's Electro Shocker"

Koushiro gets his laptop working again and discovers a nearby factory. They enter it and find no way out. They split into two groups and one has another encounter with a deadly Black Gear when they free the trapped Andromon and are repaid for their good deed by his vicious assault. As they run around Koushiro has found the largest battery in the world and tries to hook it up to his laptop. Failing to do so, he finds a program which makes Tentomon Digivolve to Kabuterimon. Meanwhile, everyone joined up but the reunion was cut short by Andromon. Agumon and Gabumon Digivolve but can even the efforts of three digivolved Digimon - Greymon, Garurumon and Kabuterimon - turn Andromon from the path of evil?

6. "Togemon In Toy Town"

Following Andromon’s directions out of the Factory they take the sewage pipes. They were peacefully walking along when suddenly they were attacked by a group of Numemon who through Poop at them. They escaped to the outside where the Numemon couldn’t come since the sunlight. They run into vending machines and Mimi tries to get a soda and instead gets a Numemon. The clouds cover the sun and the Numemon all burst out of the Machines and chase and separate the kids. Mimi wanders into Toy Town and discovers her friends all acting like zombies, as they are being played with by the toys. Mimi and Palmon discovers the Digimon locked in a chest where the Digimon tell them a Digimon by the name of Monzaemon locked them in the trunk and put a spell on the kids to make them act different. Not soon after Mimi and Palmon encounter the deadly Teddy Bear, Monzaemon! When Monzaemon threatens Mimi’s safety Palmon digivolves to Togemon. Can the prickly cactus Digimon, Togemon, stop him before it's too late for the others? And will the Numemon ever leave them alone?

7. "Ikkakumon's Harpoon Torpedo"

Leaving the Desert, Forest, and Jungle for good the kids come across the snowy area of their new home, File Island. They encounter Hot springs and a refrigerator filled with eggs. They take the eggs and have an egg feast! After the feast Yammato and Taichi get into an argument on whether to climb Infinity Mountain or not. Jyou tries to bring peace to the conversation but gets caught up in the middle. That night Jyou and Gommamon set off climbing the mountain and get halfway just as sunlight breaks. Unimon comes and suddenly a black gear appears and goes into Unimon and makes the Digimon attack Jyou and Gommamon. Sora reads the message that Jyou left in the sand for them, and wakes everyone up to go after him. Meanwhile the battle isn’t going great, Greymon, Taichi, Sora, and Birdramon show up at the right moment to help save Jyou, but they can’t beat Unimon. Jyou jumps onto the back of Unimon, to try and get the black gear out, and Unimon tries to buck Joe off! The result had Gommamon Digivolve, To Ikakumon. Will the digivolved Ikakumon protect and save Jyou from the deadly Unimon?

8. Evil Shows His Face

As the kids approach the top of the mountain, they are attacked by two Digimon, Leomon, one of the most powerful Good Digimon, struck by a Black Gear, and Ogremon who is usually the enemy of Leomon. Devimon appears and watches the battle, and then causes a rock slide which causes the Digimon to go off the cliff and disappear. The kids wonder what happen to the two Digimon and then they head down the mountain. On their way down they find a mansion where they find bed, food, and bath. During the night the kids are attacked and discover it all was an illusion of Devimon. Devimon separates the island and sends the kids in all directions. Then Devimon orders Leomon to get the kids, they'll have to use all their wits to get back together - and more - to survive!

9. Subzero Ice Punch!

Marooned in Freeze Land, Taichi and Agumon encounter Fridgimon, a Black Gear-controlled snow Digimon. They free him and start off for another island Fridgimon saw Yammato and Gabumon fell on. Meanwhile, while Fridgimon creates a bridge to the island, Yammato is searching, desperately for Takeru. Gabumon brings Yammato in from the cold, starts a fire and gives up his fur to keep Yammato warm. The next morning Taichi, Agumon and Fridgimon arrive. When they come in contact with Yammato and Gabumon (with his fur on, but he got a cold from not having his fur on), they begin to argue about what to do next. Suddenly they are attacked by Mojamon! With a sick Gabumon what hope do they have against the villainous Mojamon?

10. A Digi-Clue From the Past!

Lost on a jungle island, Mimi comes to encounter with two Digimon, Sukamon and Chumon. They at first are mean until they touch Mimi’s digivice in which afterwards they want to kiss her instead of kill her. She escapes to another island which has a ruined jungle city, and Koushiro! She finds Koushiro and then gets lost in a maze with Tentomon! Meanwhile Koushiro deciphers its mysterious hieroglyphic messages to find a map of the maze with Palmon. He uses his laptop to help Mimi get out of it but suddenly she has to survive her encounter with Centarumon, the city's Black Gear-controlled defender. And surprisingly Koushiro leads her to a dead end! Will Mimi survive this encounter or will Koushiro save the day?

11. The Dancing Digimon

Jyou and Sora are brought together by the quick thinking of Gommamon and Sora’s fishing pole. They explore the island, promoting Jyou as leader to boost his confidence, and that works, until they manage to come across a Church, and Congregation all wearing masks. Suddenly the masks fall to reveal loads of Bakemon and Jyou and Sora are going to be sacrificed by the cult of fiendish phantoms! Piyomon and Gommamon escape from the prison the Bakemon put them in, and Digivolve to save their partners but the Bakemon do something tricky, they all combine into one Bakemon. Jyou chants the Buddhist sutras and amazingly something happens! But do Ikakumon and Birdramon have even a ghost of a chance of saving the kids?

Suddenly they both get a lesson in cooperation when they come upon Primary Village, home to Baby Digimon, Digimon eggs, a note, and one cranky caretaker - Elecmon! A tug of war game brings everyone together! But, will they learn their lesson in time to stop Devimon, and his fiendish plans for the Digital World, and Takeru?

13. The Legend of the Digidestined

Takeru is being attacked and almost killed by the black geared Digimon, Leomon. Suddenly Yammato, Taichi, Mimi, and Koushiro show up and save Takeru. Taichi and Yammato use their Digivices to bring Leomon back to normal, with directions by Koushiro and Mimi. Afterwards they learn the legend of the "Chosen Children," who are fated to bring peace to the Digital World. But if they're the Chosen Children, does that mean it's up to them and their Digimon to defeat the supremely powerful Devimon?

14. Departure For a New Continent

When a mysterious being named Gennai, asks the kids to travel to a new continent to help him defeat his enemies, the children and their Digimon set out on an amazing adventure - leading them inside the belly of a giant Whamon, who is being controlled by the black gears! They free Whamon from the black gears and he takes them to the place they get their Tags which will hold Crests for the individual. Will the kids be able to find all of the Crests?

15. "The Dark Network of Etemon"

As the kids continue their search for the crests and tags they need to make their Digimon stronger, they come to a Koromon village in habited by Pagumon! Agumon smells Koromon in the opposite direction of the village. One night, Tokomon is diginapped, and beaten up by the Pagumon! They throw him into a cage behind the waterfall and lie to the kids the next morning. The kids ignore the Pagumon’s lies and head to the waterfall, following Agumon’s nose, and Takeru is reunited with Tokomon, and the Koromon are freed! But suddenly the dangerous rock 'n' roll digital monster, Etemon and his Dark Network appears, beats their Digimon, destroys the Village, and seals them inside the waterfall. The Koromon lead the Chosen Children to the back of the cave where Taichi’s crest blocks the emergency exit.

As the kids continue their search for the crests and tags they need to make their Digimon stronger, they come to a Koromon village in habited by Pagumon! 16. The Arrival of SkullGreymon

The kids' journey leads them across a desert and to a replica of the Roman Coliseum, with a soccer field in it! They all begin to play soccer and have a good time. When Etemon finds them, he captures them in an overturned goal with electricity running through it, and unleashes an Evil Greymon to destroy them. Jyou finds his crest under the goal, blocking a secret tunnel to the sidelines. Taichi forces Greymon to digivolve and suddenly Skullgreymon appears, he defeats the evil Greymon easily and then turns on the kids? Will this new Greymon be too much for everyone to handle?

17. The Crest of Sincerity

Walking along a hot, barren desert, the kids and their Digimon suddenly discover a huge titanic like cruise ship. They soon find out that Cockatorimon, an Etemon henchman, is driving the ship. He orders the Numemon working on the ship to capture the kids. The boys and their Digimon are captured, and their Digimon are turned to stone by Cockatorimon! Just as the Numemon are about to capture the girls and their Digimon, they slip out the shower window. Only wearing towels the girls battle Cockatorimon, as the boys hang on a net and get sun burned. After they get dressed the girls untie the boys and after defeating Cockatorimon the Digimon return to normal, and they escape the boat! But Cockatorimon is really mad and not all the way defeated and starts driving the boat right after them at high speeds! Suddenly a large cactus appears and Mimi’s crest, all in the path of the ill fated ship! Will the Titanic sink again?

18. The Pixiemon Cometh

As the search for new crests continues, the kids encounter their old enemy, Kuwagamon. Haunted by his last "digivolution," Agumon isn't able to digivolve. Pixiemon, a master Digimon trainer, saves the group and leads him to his training ground, surrounded by a Digital field which blocks Etemon from tracking them, and keeps them hidden from view. He trains them by having them clean his house, a very tall house at the top of a steep mountain! Takeru and Tokomon instantly take the floor and start cleaning in the way of a game. Meanwhile Taichi is sent to help his past self get over falling off a bike. That night Yammato and Koushiro’s Tags glow, meaning their crests are nearby. They follow where the glow leads them, and it leads them to a well, just outside the Digital Barrier. They go into the well and retrieve their crests and appear on Etemon’s screen he sends a Tyrannomon under his control. He attacks and breaks the Digital barrier! He battles with the kids. Will Taichi and Agumon learn their lesson and get back in time to help?

As the search for new crests continues, the kids encounter their old enemy, Kuwagamon. Haunted by his last "digivolution," Agumon isn't able to digivolve. Pixiemon, a master Digimon trainer, saves the group and leads him to his training ground, surrounded by a Digital field which blocks Etemon from tracking them, and keeps them hidden from view. He trains them by having them clean his house, a very tall house at the top of a steep mountain! T.K. and Tokomon instantly take the floor and start cleaning in the way of a game. Meanwhile Tai is sent to help his past self get over falling off a bike. That night Matt and Izzy’s Tags glow, meaning their crests are nearby. They follow where the glow leads them, and it leads them to a well, just outside the Digital Barrier. They go into the well and retrieve their crests and appear on Etemon’s screen he sends a Tyrannomon under his control. He attacks and breaks the Digital barrier! He battles with the kids. Will Tai and Agumon learn their lesson and get back in time to help?

19. The Prisoner of the Pyramid

Koushiro finds an internet connection, in the desert, and immediately an e-mail plea for help appears. They answer the e-mail plea for help, and suddenly Takeru’s tag glows! They follow the tag and Takeru finds his crest, which was blocking an entrance to a place which held the secrets of the Digital World. Koushiro, using his laptop he reveals the secrets and sends them to the pyramid. They split up, Taichi, Sora, and Koushiro going into the pyramid. They avoid the Gazimon and get to where the prisoner was located. Nanomon, Etemon’s Dark network controller, is the prisoner, and is freed but Diginaps Sora and Piyomon!

20. The Earthquake of Metalgreymon

Koushiro found on his laptop a map of the pyramid and tried to figure out how to find Sora. The other Chosen Children were eating and talking. The Digimon fall asleep and Koushiro finds out that Sora and Piyomon are being held in a secret laboratory in the pyramid. Sora awakens to find Piyomon chained to the wall, exhausted, and herself being chained to a metal type table. Nanomon tells Sora that he's going to use Piyomon to destroy Etemon and he begins to make a copy of Sora so it will command Piyomon and he inserts Sora's crest in her tag, which he has. The other Chosen Children stage a plan to save Sora. Taichi and Koushiro will enter the pyramid, Takeru will stay hidden, and the others will be acting as decoys, but there's another fire wall before entering where Sora is. Jyou and Ikakumon attack the pyramid and the Digimon head after them. Yammato and Garurumon help split up the group and a bunch of them chase after Yammato. Etemon heads off and Taichi and Koushiro work their way through secret passages but are being watched by Gazimon. Togemon and Mimi head off and leave Takeru alone. Sora's copy is almost completed. Mimi, Yammato, and Jyou attack Etemon with no luck and Etemon sings one of his horrible songs, causing the Digimon to Dedigivolve. Etemon is distracted for a moment and the Chosen Children run and hide back with Takeru. Koushiro and Kabuterimon hold off Etemon and Taichi finds the wall. He racks up his courage and goes through, causing his crest to glow. Agumon quickly digivolves and helps Kabuterimon. Taichi sees Sora's copy and he grabs the crest and digivice and races to get Sora. Sora is dropped into a pit but Taichi luckily grabs her hand. Taichi throws the crest and digivice to Sora, enabling Piyomon to digivolve. They defeat Etemon for the moment. Nanomon deletes Sora's copy. All of the dark energy is being absorbed and Nanomon pulls Etemon into the pit. Etemon's pyramid disintegrates. But he returns in the center of the black ball of his network and the Digimon can't even get a good attack at him. He throws his Dark Network attack and the things in the desert begin to warp. Taichi's crest glows and Greymon digivolves to MetalGreymon, ultimate form of Agumon. MetalGreymon begins to glow and destroys Etemon with his Giga Blaster. But, Taichi and MetalGreymon are sucked into the vortex! They land in another world! Where are they now?

21. Home Away From Home

Taichi realizes he and Koromon have been sent back to earth. Koromon and Taichi go to Taichi’s home, after Koromon scares a young girl. They find Taichi’s sister, Hikari, home alone and sick and that a few minutes have passed while they were in the Digital World. Koromon plays with Hikari and she claims to have met Koromon before and gone to the Digital World. Taichi gets a headache over this. He then realizes he should check on his friends and finds out that he was the only one to return home. He turns on the TV to find out that Digimon are all over the earth changing the weather wherever they go. Hikari tells Taichi that she has been seeing those monsters on the TV for the past two weeks and that their parents think it’s the fever talking. Taichi makes breakfast for Hikari but she barely eats a bite, while Koromon and Taichi stuff themselves full of their omelets and Kari’s. Taichi’s mother calls, and Hikari picks up, Taichi takes the phone, is stunned by his mother’s voice and says “Mom...” leaving his mother saying “Taichi??” as he hangs up. Mysteriously Koushiro sends a message over Taichi’s computer telling him not to come back. Then every electronic appliance started to go haywire, and suddenly Taichi and Koromon must battle with the dreaded Ogremon, which no one but he and his sister can see, in order to rescue their friends, and Hikari. Will Hikari join the journey? How did she know about the Digital World? Is she another Chosen Child?

So that she may sing a song to awaken their sleeping master, ShogunGekomon. Taichi, Jyou and Palmon try to trick Mimi into singing a song but Mimi finds out it’s a trick and sends Jyou, Palmon, Taichi, Agumon, and Gommamon into the prison. A Sora like figure watches outside. That night Mimi has a nightmare about her friends deserting her while evil Digimon attack. She wakes up and Sora knocks some sense into her and then Mimi releases the prisoners and sings for everyone. Only Sleeping Beauty isn’t so happy when he wakes up. Can even MetalGreymon stop the Musical Fiasco?

When the kids reunite they are attacked by Flymon, Birdramon shows up beats him, and they find Sora, she avoids them, but eventually they catch up to her and find out that she had been helping them all along. Also that she is worried that her Crest of Love will never glow, since she had been convinced by PicoDevimon that she had no love in her heart. And gives an example by explaining her past and that her mother doesn’t understand her when her leg was injured and she had to play the soccer game, and her mother didn’t let her. Takeru says a heart warming little speech, about how she’s a big sister to him, as well as a mother substitute, and gains her trust again. As the dangerous Vandemon, PicoDevimon’s master, moves in to attack the kids, Piyomon is injured by PicoDevimon and Sora won’t let Piyomon fight. Sora then realizes why her mother acted the way she did. But, will Sora’s Crest glow?

27."The Gateway to Home"

Koushiro gets a transmission from Gennai, who has good and bad news. Gennai informs them there is a new Chosen Child but he doesn't know anything about him or her but he or she besides that he or she lives in Tokyo, Japan; where all of them live; and they all must be together for the worlds to be in harmony. Gennai's bad news is that Vandemon knows about the child. The kids need inside information so therefore send Agumon and Palmon, in disguise so that they can learn more info. Nanimon begins to train the soldiers, including Agumon and Palmon, who are disguised as renegade soldiers. PicoDevimon informs Vandemon the soldiers are ready and Tailmon comes in and mocks him about the "soldiers." Tailmon informs Vandemon that she has found the most ferocious Digimon and they are dismissed. Vandemon goes to a room with Bakemon. The room contains a gate that'll lead to the Real World. Numemon sends down sodas which make Nanimon lightheaded and he passes out. The Chosen Children head into the castle but the dimensions are all warped. Vandemon figured out the secret of the cards and can open the gate. The Chosen Children follow some Digimon that lead them to the gate. Vandemon opens the gate and the Digimon head through. The Digimon partners all digivolve except for Patamon and Pyocomon. The Digimon soldiers attempt to hold off the partners but flee. Tailmon knocks them own and awakens some DeviDramon. The Chosen Children head to the gate. Greymon digivolves and MetalGreymon destroys some of the DeviDramon. He Dedigivolves. PicoDevimon gets through and Tailmon knocks Patamon out of the way. She awakens more DeviDramon. Tailmon calls good-bye and the gate slams shut in their faces. Will they ever go home?

29."Return to Highton View Terrace"

The kids arrived back on earth, and back only a few minutes after they left! They are taken back to Tokyo by bus. And they convince their teacher Mr. Fugiyama instead of dropping them off at their homes, instead for them to drop them off at Highton View Terrace. The teacher agrees after Takeru and Yammato’s sad story and Jyou’s volunteer of going along. On the bus, the Digivices and the laptop are working perfectly. And around Tokyo, Tailmon finds tons of children but not the eighth Chosen Child. Vandemon tells her the crest she has is a fake but will still react to the eighth Chosen Child. The Chosen Children realize they all lived at Highton View Terrace at one time. Jyou reminds them they all must've moved after the terrorist bombing four years ago. Mammothmon is on a rampage through the city. Piyomon digivolves and fights Mammothmon. Takeru remembers when he was younger he saw two monsters, one fire breathing monster, and one bird like monster and Yammato explains Takeru insisted he saw two monsters after the bombing to his mom. The Chosen Children realize the bridge they're on is the one that got destroyed four years ago, and they quickly get off of it. Sora's crest glows and Garudamon protects Taichi and Sora. Taichi realizes Greymon was the fire breathing Digimon and he fought with a birdlike Digimon and after the fight they both disappeared. Garudamon destroys Mammothmon. Koushiro concludes that all of them saw the Digimon fight which is why they became the Chosen Children, which means the eighth child, saw the Digimon fight too. Will they find the eighth Chosen Child in time?

While trying to get home, the kids find out it's not easy navigating the big city with a bunch of Digimon and too little money. They disguise themselves inside a subway car. They board and a baby begins to pull on poor Pyocomon. Finally, Pyocomon shouts at the baby and Sora covers it up by acting like a ventriloquist making it seem as if she made Pyocomon talk. But a bratty kid soon wants his dad to buy Pyocomon off of Sora! In between trains the gang ditches Jyou and Koushiro to go eat. Jyou and Koushiro catch up and Jyou shouts at the group and embarrasses himself. They then decide to hitch hike home. Taichi tries to hitch hike but nothing comes. Yammato starts hitch hiking and a woman in a red sports car pulls up. She’s wearing sunglasses and a short purple dress and she beckons Yammato into the car, Yammato blushes and lets her go. Then the girls try to hitch hiking and a stranger in a van pulls up and offers them a ride. On the ride home, Koromon poops in the stranger’s car from over eating, the driver stops and yells at the kids and asks for the kid who did it, he points at Jyou and charges at him and pushes Koushiro over the edge of a broken bridge, but Tentomon saves him just in time. Gesomon attacks and Gommamon digivolves to save the group. The battle is watched by people surrounding the bridge. Suddenly after the battle they kids and Ikakumon disappear. Will the kids ever get home?

While trying to get home, the kids find out it's not easy navigating the big city with a bunch of Digimon and too little money. They disguise themselves inside a subway car. The children all make it home, and have a normal dinner and explain that Summer camp had been canceled due to unseasonable snow. Taichi explained that Koromon was a present for Hikari, who was over her sickness from earlier in the day. Koushiro brings Tentomon in through his window and his parents hear Koushiro talking to someone and he says he’s practicing jokes, and performs very bad jokes for them after dinner. Later Koushiro gets an email from Gennai saying that Raremon is attacking the harbor. Koushiro is the only one awake and goes there. When he arrives there he battles Raremon, his digivice picks up another Digivice. Meanwhile, Miko, Hikari’s cat knocks a digivice of the coffee table and to the ground where another cat runs away with it. Miko goes after it. Miko gets it back at the harbor from a dog, but suddenly a raven comes and snatches it away from Miko. The signal disappears from Koushiro’s Digivice as the raven flies off. Hikari is watching from her balcony as the raven flies by and her digivice glows a pink glow for her and she thinks it is a beautiful pink star, and is sad when it disappears.

Takeru and Patamon get into an argument on the Train and Patamon flies off the train at the next stop, they run after him but loose him, Yammato, Takeru and Gabumon run into Pumpkinmon and Gotsumon, two of Vandemon’s henchmen. All those two want to do is play and cause havoc! They dress Yammato, Takeru and Gabumon into clothes too big for them, and leave them there in the store. Tailmon stakes out on top of a building across from Hikari’s apartment building. Seeing her feed Miko and pet and love the cat made her remember her cold hard past of beatings by Vandemon. Wizardmon finds Hikari’s digivice in a crow’s nest, and then PicoDevimon interrupts and he just grabs a bottle of chili sauce and covers up the digivice. PicoDevimon takes the sauce and plans to go to a take out place. Wizardmon takes the digivice to Tailmon and he tells her of when they met of how she was searching for someone. They approach Hikari and Tailmon hands her, her digivice and a glow emits from the device. Taichi comes out and Agumon attacks Tailmon, and Hikari then protects her Digimon and explains why she is here. And Tailmon’s memories come back to her, of her lonely life. Then Wizardmon, Tailmon, Taichi, and Agumon go to Vandemon’s hideout to get Hikari’s real crest, but Vandemon shows up and he has the original! He defeats Wizardmon and throws him into the bay. Tailmon mourns over her friend and then is Diginapped! Taichi tries to get Tailmon back but Vandemon flies off.

Taichi's dad is trapped in the subway and is captured by Phantomon. Sora is heading to soccer practice, hoping to talk to Tai there. Then, Bakemon invade the Yagami's and kidnap Taichi's mom, and Mimi and her parents. Piyomon protects Sora's mother and they head to the soccer field because Sora's in danger. Myotismon begins to separate the children from their parents. Agumon digivolves but is attacked by Phantomon and the barely escape. Mimi and Sora meet up and Sora comes up with a plan to use a mind over matter chant to make the Bakemon lose their power. It works until Phantomon gets smart and slashes her recording. Then, Mimi and their group are attacked by DarkTyrannomon. Palmon digivolves but can't defeat him. Mimi's wish to save her family makes her crest of Sincerity glow and brings Lilimon into existence. Lilimon uses her Flower Wreath to counteract DarkTyrannomon's virus, making him tame. Taichi meets up with Yammato and tells him that Hikari's the eighth Child. Piyomon and Sora's mom save Sora and Piyomon digivolves. Vandemon shows up and sends DarkTyrannomon to the Digiworld. Will Lilimon escape Myotismon's Crimson Lightning?

Vandemon uses his Nightmare Attack and his Grizzly Wing to knock out Lilimon. Birdramon grabs Lilimon and Sora escapes, but Mimi and Sora's mother are captured. Hikari blames herself for everything that's happening. Taichi tells her he going to get everyone back and asks Hikari to be brave and also asks Yammato to watch Hikari. Taichi tells them to leave if he isn't back in two hours. Koushiro gets email from Gennai who explains about the Digital Barrier which will protect him and his family if he can download it in time. Takeru and Jyou are trapped outside the city. Takeru is separated from his mom and meets Jyou. Koushiro's parents wait with Koushiro and they are protected by the Digital Barrier. Bakemon doesn't see anyone inside. PicoDevimon puts all of the adults to sleep and Tailmon is checking all of the children for the eighth Chosen Child. Jyou tells Takeru that Gommamon can digivolve and hopefully get them through the fog. Gommamon digivolves and Takeru and Jyou head into the fog. His mother tries but fails to stop Takeru from going after his brother and dad. Koushiro is told where the fog started and Koushiro can destroy the source of the fog, the TV station, the fog will disappear. Koushiro's mom tells him to be careful. Sora and Taichi meet up. Taichi goes to the convention center where everyone is being held captive and Sora goes to the Aqua City warehouse where Yammato is, while Phantomon spies on them. Taichi heads to the convention center. Koushiro heads to the TV station. Hikari and Yammato talk about Tailmon and Hikari begins to cry because she misses her badly. Jyou and Takeru meet MegaSeadramon, knocks them off of Ikakumon! Jyou saves Takeru from drowning and Jyou's crest glows and Ikakumon is able to digivolve to Zudomon and defeat MegaSeadramon. Then, they find Wizardmon with the crest belonging to the eighth child. Yammato's dad rescues Koushiro from getting caught by the Bakemon. Sora and Yammato meet up but are attacked by Snimon, Tuskmon, and Phantomon. Gabumon digivolves and does Birdramon but they can't defeat them. Phantomon attempts to choke Yamato and Snimon is cutting the stick she is using to keep him away. Will the Chosen Children be able to save Hikari?

Vandemon and PicoDevimon fly off; taking Tailmon with them and Taichi sees them from below. Mimi is revived by her crest and Agumon digivolves and destroys a bunch of Bakemon. Taichi and Mimi meet up and they head to find Matt and Sora on Greymon. Koushiro explains Digimon to Yammato's dad. Wizardmon wakes up and tells Jyou and Takeru that he must get the crest to Hikari so Hikari, the eighth child, and Tailmon, her Digimon partner, can be saved. Sora and Yammato meet up with Koushiro, Yammato and Takeru's dad, Jyou and Takeru Wizardmon revives Lilimon back to health. They're ready to attack, Wizardmon but he explains about the crest and Hikari and Tailmon. Hikari is being held captive by Phantomon in the TV station. Tuskmon and Snimon arrive and Garurumon digivolves. WereGarurumon, Zudomon, and Garudamon fight them while Lilimon, Wizardmon, the Chosen Children, and Yammato's dad head to the platform. Vandemon arrives with Tailmon, and below, Mimi and Taichi arrive on Greymon. Hikari tells Vandemon that she needed to stop him from hurting all of the innocent people. Tailmon attempts to save Hikari by telling Vandemon she never saw Hikari before but PicoDevimon pulls Hikari's hair and causes Tailmon to yell out Hikari's name. Tailmon heads to protect Hikari and the others arrive on the platform. Tentomon digivolves and he and Lilimon shoot attacks at Vandemon, who blows them away easily and takes Hikari and Tailmon onto the roof. Kabuterimon digivolves as the other Digimon that were fighting arrive. WereGarurumon is knocked off the roof. Wizardmon aims an attack at Vandemon, throws Hikari her crest, but then he is knocked out. Taichi and Mimi arrive and Taichi throws Hikari her digivice but it is intercepted by PicoDevimon. Phantomon prepares to attack Taichi but Greymon digivolves yet they still can't defeat Vandemon. Patamon digivolves and destroys Phantomon. But, Myotismon shoots his Grizzly Wing at Hikari and Tailmon and Wizardmon protects them, taking the full blast. Hikari and Tailmon cry over his death which causes Hikari's digivice and crest to glow. PicoDevimon drops Hikari's digivice which Taichi grabs, and throws to Hikari; she catches it, and Tailmon digivolves to Angewomon, who freezes Vandemon with her Heaven's Charm. The Digimon give their power to Angewomon, who uses the power for her Celestial Arrow and destroys Vandemon. The TV platform rolls off and falls. The Digimon Dedigivolve but Hikari and Takeru. realize the fog barrier is becoming thicker. Why is this happening?

After finally beating Vandemon the only thing left of him is his mask. Koushiro gets an email from Gennai which says the following prophecy. And slowly the whole prophecy starts to come true. We also find out that Koushiro is adopted. We find out that Jyou isn’t the only one in his family who is being forced to become a doctor, but his older brother Shin is as well. Then the hour of the beast comes: 6:06.06 and Vandemon reveals himself as VenomVandemon, a mega level Digimon, one level above Ultimate, which is the highest they all go to! Suddenly Koushiro deciphers the prophecy, with help from his parents and Tentomon. Takeru and Hikari force Angemon and Angewomon to shoot arrows that came from their crests at Yammato and Taichi. They are hit and a miracle happens!

43."Playing Games"

MetalSeadramon is ready to destroy WarGreymon when Whamon smashes into him. MetalSeadramon unleashes his River of Power, destroying Whamon. WarGreymon destroys MetalSeadramon with his Terra Force. Both of the Digimon are reconfigured and the ocean, representing MetalSeadramon in Spiral Mountain, begins to disappear. Now, it's time for Puppetmon. Mimi builds some memorials in memory of Wizardmon, Pixiemon, Chumon, and Whamon, and Mimi doesn't want to fight anymore. Yammato and Taichi have another fight about ways of fighting, but Sora breaks up the fight, and Jyou suggests they keep moving instead of remaining in the open. All of the Chosen Children are deep in thought and Hikari stops when she thinks she hears a voice. On a TV screen, Pinochiomon watches the Chosen Children and presses a button on his remote control that accelerates the ground the Chosen Children are standing on. No matter where they go, the ground continues to accelerate. Pinochiomon begins to look for dolls of some sort, when Kiwimon and Pinochiomon lose sight of the children and Puppetmon searches desperately for the Chosen Children on the TV. The Chosen Children climb a tree to hide from Pinochiomon, but they begin to disappear. Pinochiomon places voodoo dolls of the Chosen Children on a map of the forest. Pinochiomon moves the Chosen Children and does weird stuff to them shoots little toys at them and turns them upside down or holds them in thin air and tickle them. Suddenly Takeru and Yammato are alone and Takeru tells Yammato he's being too overprotective and Yammato seems to be pushing everyone away. Pinochiomon is in his room with Kiwimon, digging around in his toy chest. He pulls out a real gun! "This is a 44 Magnum; it's really powerful. And this is a dum-dum bullet. If you're shot with one of these, your stomach will explode!" says Pinochiomon as he holds up the gun, loads in a bullet, and points it at the screen. When the angle changes we see he's pointing it straight at Kiwimon. Then Pinochiomon shows up where Takeru and Yammato are and asks Takeru to play war with him and gives him a gun, which Takeru drops and it goes off. Pinochiomon ties up Yammato with red string stuff, and starts to play with Takeru, threatening to destroy Yammato if Takeru didn't play with him. Takeru then tries to aim his automatic. The view is through the muzzle of a gun. With the gun being too heavy for Takeru to hold, Takeru drops his weapon. The angle changes and we see Pinochiomon aiming his gun at Takeru. Pinochiomon aims his gun and Takeru looks terrified, of Pinochiomon making a gun noise but he hadn't pulled the trigger. Takeru starts running leaving the automatic behind. Takeru tries to hide in the mansion. The remaining Chosen Children are brought together, they free Yammato, and Kiwimon arrives to keep the Chosen Children busy. Gabumon can't digivolve because Yammato's crest won't glow. Birdramon destroys Kiwimon and Yammato yells at Sora and Piyomon because it now seems there's no hope for finding Takeru. Meanwhile Takeru hides behind a shelf and tells the two Digimon in the room to not tell Pinochiomon where he hid and then Pinochiomon comes in front of Blossomon and Mushmon (these two Digimon were never named in the American episode). He has the gun in his hand and asks if Takeru came by, they tell him where he is, Pinochiomon aims his gun at the space and then the angle changes and we see the space empty. Blossomon and Mushmon run over as well. "That can't be," says Blossomon. "I'm sure I saw. . . ." adds Mushmon. While they talk you can see Takeru sneaking around in the background, hiding behind the door. Pinochiomon calls them liars, turns and points his gun at the Digimon. He fires twice, and they both disappear, deleted. Now that they're out of the way we can see Takeru's head peaking around the side of the door. Pinochiomon is talking to himself. Takeru runs out from behind the door and out into the hall. Pinochiomon follows Takeru and sees him head upstairs. Pinochiomon has finally cornered Takeru in the hall. He shoots four times. Each time Takeru jumps to the side and a large hole is blown in the floor. The last one knocks him down. "Now I'll shoot at your legs!" Pinochiomon cries, pulling the trigger. There are clicks. "Huh? Out of bullets. I'll just put some new ones in!" He reaches behind his leg and lowers the gun out of view of the screen. Takeru thinks, “At this rate he'll kill me! I've got to do something!” Pinochiomon starts loading his gun with bullets, humming to himself. Takeru’s face lights up as he thinks of something, and the following dialogue occurs
"This is really getting old." Takeru Pinochiomon stops loading his gun and lowers it. "What did you say!?" Takeru's now on his feet "I'm sick of doing the same thing over and over. You turned out to be a pretty boring kid." He puts his hands on his hips. The angle now is from behind Pinochiomon, showing Takeru and the hallway. There are four huge holes in the floor. "No one's ever told me that before!" Pinochiomon "Oh, really? Hey, could it be that you don't have any friends?" Takeru get that cute little sly look here. Pinochiomon looks surprised. "Y-yes I do!" "Well then, can I meet these friends of yours?" "Yeah, I'll introduce you sometime." Pinochiomon "Not sometime, introduce me now!" insists Takeru, jumping over the holes to come stand beside Pinochiomon. "Now's not a good time." Here's a close-up of Pinochiomon's face. "Hmm . . . I guess you really don't have any friends after all then!?" says Takeru, leaning over so that he's in the shot too. "I-I do! I'll go get them now!" Pinochiomon turns and goes. Takeru outsmarts Puppetmon and finds Patamon inside the mansion. Takeru smashes everything in Pinochiomon's room and takes the dolls of the Chosen Children. Takeru returns victorious and Pinochiomon finds the room destroyed and vows to get Takeru for what he did. Yammato suddenly disappears as the other Chosen Children praise him. Where could Yammato have possibly gone? "Huh? Out of bullets. I'll just put some new ones in!" Pinochiomon (All of the gun scenes were cut, painted over and new lines were made to cover up spots) |

Meanwhile the group looks franticly for Yammato. Suddenly the rest of the group is attacked by Garbagemon and Lilimon and MetalGreymon start to fight him. Soon MetalGarurumon comes and destroys Garbagemon and challenges Agumon to a duel. Pinochiomon meanwhile talks with Cherrymon who warns him of the children’s strong powers and not to over look them. Pinochiomon gets angry at Cherrymon and destroys him.

Pinochiomon's scheme to divide the Chosen Children comes to a head when MetalGarurumon squares off against WarGreymon. As the battle rages, Takeru and Koushiro notice Hikari talking with a strange light. Suddenly her crest glows brilliantly and she starts to faint, Takeru and Koushiro start to go toward her when they are all sudden absorbed by white light. They stand in darkness, suddenly there is a faint light in the distance, and an older version of Hikari’s voice tells them that it represents all of the good in the Digital World. Taichi questions where Hikari got to know this when suddenly the group notices a white aura around Hikari. Hikari, or more rather an entity, explains that she has taken over Hikari’s body, with Hikari’s full permission to tell them how exactly they were chosen. She shows the scene where Parrotmon and Greymon fought and where each one stood, a white light came from the sky up to a single point. The entity explains that after this they were all chosen to be Digidestined, and that their Digimon were created based on a scan they took of them during the battle, similar personalities, etc. Their crests were feelings they had at the moment they were scanned. Then she shows them how the Digieggs and Digivices came to File Island. The invasion of the research room by Piemon, and a younger Gennai taking the eggs to File Island using a Mechnorimon. But he drops Tailmon’s egg on the Journey. Then the entity leaves Hikari and she does not remember a thing. With this new information the group splits up into three teams, Yammato goes off on his own, Mimi and Jyou go on their own, not wanting to fight, and the others stay together. Will the group be able to reunite?

46."Etemon's Comeback Tour"

With the group split up Tai and the others went to Puppetmon’s home. While Mimi and Jyou met up with MetalEtemon, who had digivolved to Mega! And what was worse was he singing was even worse! They then suddenly bump into Ogremon who had been injured. Jyou wraps his wounds with toilet paper after cleaning them. They start talking and Ogremon starts talking about his fight with Leomon, and how that Leomon and him have always been rivals. Mimi asks what would happen if you beat Leomon and Ogremon doesn’t know since Leomon had never been beat. But MetalEtemon finds them, but finally showing up at the right place at the right time Pinochiomon comes, and instead of both teaming up and working together to beat the group. They fight each other, leaving Mimi, Jyou, Ogremon, Palmon and Gommamon enough time to get the heck out of there. Suddenly a strange lion like Digimon appears and Ogremon instantly recognizes him as Leomon, but this isn’t the Leomon they knew, is it? Meanwhile Taichi and the others meet Blossomon and Deramon who show them around the mansion and when Pinochiomon comes aims all of his cannons right at the Dark Master! Will the notorious Digimon finally be defeated?

They come to the safe haven to find a Gekomon and an Otamamon, they remembered Mimi, and they talked of how things changed since she left. Leomon Dedigivolved and told them since his contact with all of the Digivices he has been able to Digivolve. He also tells Ogremon to put away their battle until the Dark Masters were defeated. But MetalEtemon found them and battled with SaberLeomon, Lilimon, and Zudomon. Zudomon cracked MetalEtemon to pieces with his DigiChrome Hammer but SaberLeomon was mortally wounded and he says he will be reborn when Primary Village is rebuilt. Mimi, Ogremon, and Jyou swear they’ll rebuild the Village. Suddenly Pinochiomon is given a fatal blow from MetalGarurumon! Matt talks with the group briefly but doesn’t come back. Meanwhile all the forest of Pinochiomon starts disappearing.

Hikari isn't feeling well, and the kids scramble to get her to a city, and then Koushiro, using his laptop locates all of the hospitals. He and Taichi then set off for them. After two close calls of Digimon following them Koushiro realizes that they are being traced by Machinedramon and figures out a way to hide themselves, using a computer program. When they aren’t able to get back, they hide in a church where, Taichi blames himself and Koushiro said that it isn’t his fault and asked why he was blaming himself when he didn’t need to. And Taichi tells about how his little sister had been sick three years ago and he had wanted to play soccer but didn’t want to leave her. He told Koushiro of how she collapsed on the playground and almost died in the ER of pneumonia. And we see Taichi at age eight being slapped by his mother.
But Koushiro’s plan is taken aback when the dangerous monster army starts destroying the entire city, including the house Hikari was in! Is everyone safe?

49."The Crest of Light"

Hikari, Takeru, and Tailmon all fell in the same area. Then Sora, Patamon, and Piyomon all joined them. They explore the sewers and come across WaruMonzaemon who is making the Numemon work too hard to keep everything running in the empty city above. Hikari faints and she glows, which distracts WaruMonzaemon from the Numemon and the chase is on! Takeru and Sora run through the sewers trying to out run the rolling teddy bear. Taichi overreacts with Koushiro and they start fighting when all of a sudden Andromon shows up! Andromon says he came to the sewers to find the Digimon that opposed Machinedramon and to build an army against him. The two groups soon meet up and Machinedramon shows up, after destroying WaruMonzaemon. Hikari’s light giving energy to their Digimon all Digivolve to the highest level they can maintain. Suddenly the Numemon sacrifice themselves and Hikari’s light makes Agumon warp digivolve and beat Machinedramon by slicing him in half! The group leaves the city never looking back.

They explore the sewers and come across WaruMonzaemon who is making the Numemon work too hard to keep everything running in the empty city above. Kari faints and she glows, which distracts WaruMonzaemon from the Numemon and the chase is on! T.K. and Sora run through the sewers trying to out run the rolling teddy bear. Tai overreacts with Izzy and they start fighting when all of a sudden Andromon shows up! Andromon says he came to the sewers to find the Digimon that opposed Machinedramon and to build an army against him. The two groups soon meet up and Machinedramon shows up, after destroying WaruMonzaemon. Kari’s light giving energy to their Digimon all Digivolve to the highest level they can maintain. Suddenly the Numemon sacrifice themselves and Kari’s light makes Agumon warp digivolve and beat Machinedramon by slicing him in half! The group leaves the city never looking back.

50."Joe's Battle"

The kids arrive at the castle of Piedmon, finding Lady Devimon waiting there to attack them. Angewomon battles Lady Devimon. Forgetting about her image she starts fighting dirty when LadyDevimon starts to too. Meanwhile, Jyou and Mimi return to Primary Village in search of Yammato, and other Digimon to help rebuild it. They find the village in total ruins, and Elecmon has found Yammato’s harmonica and tells them that the village won’t be rebuilt until the Dark Masters are defeated. Partly wanting to prove his courage to himself, and the other to find Yammato, Jyou sets off on an adventure across the sea to find Yammato. Will The Chosen Children ever Reunite?

51."The Crest of Friendship"

Yammato has been trapped in a tunnel, and been feeling guilt and sorry for himself. Gabumon tries to snap Yammato out of it, when suddenly they notice a darkness which gets bigger when Yammato blames himself and gets stronger when he gets over it. Suddenly they are no longer in a tunnel but outside, and Jyou comes across Yammato. Meanwhile Piemon is battling WarGreymon and Taichi sends Takeru and Sora out to look for help. Sora starts feeling as though there’s no hope and is taken into a similar tunnel that Yammato had been. Yammato and Jyou show up and help Sora out of it. They then fly on Birdramon to where the battle takes place. Taichi isn’t letting anyone fight Piemon but WarGreymon saying that they all have to save their energy so that their strong when they reunite. Yammato and Garurumon show up in time and their friendship with Taichi and WarGreymon revitalizes them and now the battle is about to begin!”

52."Piedmon's Last Jest"

The battle rages between MetalGarurumon, WarGreymon, and Piemon. Suddenly Piemon starts turning everyone into key chains, first the Megas, then Taichi and Yammato! Then Koushiro, Tentomon, and Jyou! Followed by Angewomon and Garudamon! And finally Sora and Gommamon. Just leaving, Patamon, Takeru and Hikari left to fight Piemon. Angemon gives them enough time to escape Piemon. They escape him by going onto a balcony by climbing a rope that leads mysteriously to the clouds. Piemon throws Angemon down from the castle to the ground. Before Kari can reach the clouds Piemon catches Takeru’s ankle and Takeru says for Hikari to go on. Hikari grabs his hand and refuses to go on. Then Piemon cuts the top of the rope and the bottom. They fall and suddenly Takeru’s crest shines and Angemon Digivolves to HolyAngemon and throws Piemon off the balcony after retrieving his key chains. Then Mimi and some old Digimon Friends arrive. HolyAngemon returns the key chains to the normal, and then Piemon releases all of his Vilemon at the kids, HolyAngemon opens his gate of destiny and they are sucked in. Then WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon blow Piemon into the gate and it closes and deletes itself. Gennai then says an email with bad news, the Dark Masters wasn’t the evil threatening the Digital World, it was another Digimon. Who is this Digimon?

After Piemon was destroyed Spiral Mountain glowed and the kids were sent into a world of Darkness where, Apocalymon lived. He had made all of the evil Digimon and had all of their attacks. He beats the Chosen Children. Takes their tags and crests, destroys them and sends them into another world. There the children realize they never needed the crests at all. The power was inside of them the whole time and their Digimon all digivolve too the highest level they can hold, but how will they get back to Apocalymon?

But their Digivices blocked the attack! Then Gennai explains that the Digital World is being reborn and that the first place would be File Island. They arrive in Primary Village where Takeru and Hikari start hatching some Digimon by rubbing their eggs gently. Then Gennai has bad news, he says that an eclipse will soon occur and that the eclipse is their gateway home. After the eclipse nothing can pass between the two worlds, and that time is now equal with both worlds. The Chosen Children all say their goodbyes, board the streetcar and it flies off into the sky...
