Vegeta was once prince of the planet Vegeta. His father was King Vegeta and his mother is unknown. When he was young, Furiza took over planet Vegeta, and later destroyed it and everyone on it. Luckily, Vegeta was on Furiza's ship at the time, and did not die with the rest of the Saiyans. Vegeta, with two other Saiyans who had survived, Raditz and Nappa, were under Furiza's control for many years, until Raditz was sent to Earth to find his brother, Goku. On Earth Raditz is killed but not before he let Vegeta and Nappa know about the dragonballs. Hungry for power, Vegeta set a course for Earth, only to find they were no match for Goku, who had been training for a year for there arrival. Vegeta killed Nappa after making a fool of himself, but despite how strong he was compared to his partner, Goku still beat him. Vegeta left Earth already planning his revenge. After another unlikely turn of events on the planet Namek, Vegeta ended up back on Earth, and eventually learned to put up with Z warriors.

Vegeta never becomes stronger then Goku, but is always there to help the Z warriors. Vegeta reaches super saiyan status in the Android Saga, and reaches Super Saiyan level 2 when he becomes a Majin in the Buu saga. Vegeta later "hooks" up with Bulma and they have two children, Trunks, and Bra. Vegeta eventually forgets his evil ways and fights for good... rather then evil.

Appearance: Black Eyes, Black and tall hair, large body build.

Clothes: Vegeta wears many different clothes during Dragonball Z.
- Saiyan Armor with shoulder pads, blue jump suit, and saiyan boots. This is worn when we first meet Vegeta on earth.
- Saiyan Armor with smaller shoulder pads, black jump suit, and saiyan boots. This is worn on Namek in the fight against Freiza.
- Saiyan Armor with shoulder straps, blue jump suit, and saiyan boots. This is worn in the Android/Cell saga.
- Blue jump suit with sleeves cut, white gloves, and saiyan boots. This is worn during the rest of DBZ during and after the Buu Saga.
