Are you obsessed with Rydia? Let's find out!
You know you’re obsessed with Rydia when … 1. You dye your hair green 2. You refuse to wear anything except green 3. You dress your pets up like the summoned monsters and ‘call’ them (“Here, Shiva! That’s it, good girl!”) 4. You call your boyfriend Edge 5. Your friends’ nicknames all come from Final Fantasy 4 (“Hi Rosa, Cecil, Yang, and Edward! What’s up?”) 6. Your own nickname is Rydia 7. You refer to yourself in the third person as ‘Rydia’ (or, in my case, Rydia Rose ^_~) 8. When a bully picks on you, you threaten to sic Bahamut on him 9. Similarly, if someone picks on you, you threaten to cast Meteo on him and wipe his ass off the face of the planet 10. You tell everyone that your mother died tragically when a fire destroyed your home town (even though she’s still alive and standing RIGHT BEHIND YOU! O_O) 11. Everyone at school (or work, or whatever) has heard that story you tell all the time about going to the moon and beating up some dude named Zeromus 12. You’re inordinately fond of crystals 13. Whenever anyone says “Go to Hell!” you shrug it off with a simple “Been there, done that.” 14. You call airplanes airships. People look at you kinda funny when you say that, but you don’t know why! That’s what they’re called, right? 15. You always call your airplane pilot “Cid.” No matter what his name is! 16. You only date guys with purple hair (Yum!) 17. Your boyfriend is the prince of a decimated kingdom. 19. Your boyfriend is an actual ninja. 20. Your boyfriend likes to throw spoons at badguys. (o_O) 21. You try to invent a new formula that will make you age about ten or so years in just a few days. 22. Your room is a Rydia shrine—not only is the décor green, but your wall is covered with fan art of her, and Amano pictures that you printed off the internet (or scanned from the expensive book that you bought just because it had a picture of Rydia in it), as well as pictures of things that remind you of her, such as the Summoned Monsters, and maybe a poster of Edge with a heart/lipstick print on it. 23. Even your parents and/or grandparents refer to you as Rydia! 25. You have every version of Final Fantasy 4 possible (SNES, Super Famicom, ROMs, FF Chronicles, etc). 26. You go bankrupt on a single auction for a rare Rydia x Edge doujinshi (It’s totally worth it! ^_^) 27. You spend hours on the internet looking for Rydia merchandise. 28. You spend even more hours on the internet looking at every single Rydia shrine—twice! 29. Your favorite ‘hat’ is actually a beautiful tiara that was a gift from your dead mother. (You know what I’m talkin’ ‘bout, right?) 30. You have no idea who your father is, and, strangely, you really don’t care! (O_o) 31. You tell everyone you’re adopted and then refer to your parents as Leviathan and Asura. 32. You call your boyfriend/crush “Hotshot.” 33. You just love whales! The bigger the better! 34. Whenever anyone asks, “What’s your calling?” You reply: “Yes!” 35. Whenever you hear the phrase “Spoony Bard,” you reminisce fondly about your childhood memories. 36. You’ve played Final Fantasy 4 so many times and so long that you have a game where you’ve maxed out the levels of ALL the characters, including Rydia! (Yup, that’s me! ^_^) 37. …same as above, but in the HARDTYPE version (nope, not yet, but I’m workin’ on it! ^_~) 38. You’ve memorized Rydia’s every single line in FF4 … from ALL the translations! (Hey, even I’m not that obsessed!) 39. Green is your favorite color ever. Anyone who disagrees will have to face your wrath.
40. You make a shrine to your beloved Rydia on the internet! (I admit it, I’m obsessed!)
