When you think of Final Fantasy 4 sprites, what springs to mind? Heh, I can hear you groaning out there, all the way from my computer here! ^_^ Maybe it's because of their tiny little eensy weensy itty bitty size, maybe it's because they can be surprisingly ugly. But, for some reason, people just seem to hate video game sprites! Especially when they're from older games such as FF4. For the 'artistically challenged,' such as myself (I couldn't draw a straight line if you paid me a trillion dollars ... literally), the options are few. There are either the game sprites, or the rare Amano art. Since I'm too cheap to buy the artbook containing Amano's FF4 art (it can cost up to $50!), I take refuge in sprites. Sure, you can find tons of FF4 sprites scattered all over the internet. But there were some sprites that I just couldn't find, so I decided to make my own. I learned how to take screen captures and make sprites from this site, and soon afterwards, I started making a bunch of sprites that I thought of as 'different,' the kind you can't normally find in sprite archives on the internet (the most obvious example that comes to mind are the two sprites of Cecil and Rosa kissing--I looked everywhere on the 'net for them, but couldn't find any!). Anywho, thanks for listening to me ramble! ^_~ That's enough of that now--you came here for the sprites, not a rant!
So here you will find an index of the sprites and animations that I made, using sprites from FF4. Just a disclaimer: please email me if you want to take an image from this section. I spent a lot of time and effort making these guys! Also, some sprites I used to make the animations were not made by me. See the credits page to see where I got any sprites not made by myself.
