It's hard for me to come up with a concrete story. Really, I just let the plot develop itself. If I had an idea for a specific line of dialogue or a vision of a particular panel, I'd adjust the story to go along with that. This is the story being written on its own. I had nothing to do with this. The first panel here is an example where I sketched a battered Gates wiping his bloody nose, and I wanted to somehow write it in.
