Freak avalanches and fuzzy ears

 ~ok I know weird title but I really couldn’t think of a good one. ::shrug:: ok so this is my second Inuyasha fan fic so be nice. I would love to hear your thoughts and suggestions. Write me at celestialkicker7@aol.com.

*ummm well I defiantly don’t sue me don’t own Inuyasha so please! Not that it would get you any where cuz I’m broke as a goat but still.*

Ok here we go then hope you like……….

  Kagome sighed as she looked at her frosted window. Her eyes traveled over the temple grounds to rest on the small well house. She was supposed to have returned to the warring states era three days ago, however she had suddenly come down with the flu due to the cold weather. She sighed again as she looked out over the glistening white blanket that covered the grounds. She got up and went over to sit on her bed. The cold had almost run its course, but she didn’t want to risk getting the others sick with their different immune systems. She hoped they weren’t to worried.

 Her mother and grandfather had left town to go to some sort of temple get together and her brother went to stay at a friends house for the weekend leaving her to her self. But she didn’t mind really sometimes she liked being by her self, it gave her time to think. She unconsciously began to finger the small piece of the shikon jewel that hung by a chain on her neck.. She rolled over to pet her cat Buyo and laughed to herself “I bet Inuyasha is pretty pissed that I’m not back yet” at the thought of the said dog demon she let out another giggle. She was really quite fond of him. Probably more so than was good for her sanity she thought absently to her self. “Yes,” she said to Buyo “I’m surprised he hasn’t already come up the well to try and cart me back there already.” As she said this she heard a large *thunk* come from out side. With a worried look she got up and went down stairs to see what had happened.

Inuyasha cursed as he stepped out of the bone eaters well and straight in to a bucket. As he shook his foot around trying to remove it he managed to fall flat on his face. He let out a few more choice words as he reached down too yank the bucket of his foot. Kagome had been gone TEN days! She had said she would only be a week. Something about “important” tests and her family needing her help at he temple. “feh” inuyasha humphed as he stood up. >Stupid wench they were in the middle of a quest damnit!< And now they were wasting time. He was sure that locating the rest of the shikon shards was just as important, if not more so, that taking some dumb old quest. He growled as he stomped towards the door of the mine shrine “she had better have a real good reason for not comin’ when she was supposed to” As he stepped out side his eyes took in the thick blanket of snow covering the ground. His sensitive nose took in the clean crisp smell of winter air as well as another smell “her smell”. His head whipped in the direction that particular sent was coming from and landed on a small door built in to the side of the large hut in which she lived just before it opened.

Kagome stood in the doorway wrapped in a large coat. She just stared at him a moment in shock before saying “Inuyasha? What are you doing here?” Though she thought she was pretty sure she already new. Inuyashas eyes narrowed and he let out a low growl. “WHAT DO YOU THINK IM DOING HERE YOU STUPID WENCH!” he exploded “YOU SAID ONE WEEK IT’S BEEN TEN FUCKING DAYS!” kagome started at his raised tone but then gave him a warning glare, sadly Inuyasha missed it, stomping up to her and poking one clawed finger in her face. “YOUR THREE WHOLE DAYS LATE!” he grabbed her hand  “ Comon’ I’m taking you back so we can finished this damn quest”

Kagome growled in the back of her throat. Narrowing her eyes she yanked her hand from his grasp ”I don’t think so dog- boy! You cant just come here and start telling me what to do!” < Who does he think he is? > she thought angrily. Inuyasha whipped around to stare at her in shock then narrowed his eyes “oh yeah” He advanced towards her attempting to pick her up over his shoulder and cart her away. Sadly he missed that dangerous gleam in her eyes and the words were out of her mouth before he had a chance to stop her. “SIT BOY!” *WHUMP* “mghfhf,fh….BITCH!” Inuyasha yelled from his rather flattened position in the snow. They stayed like that for awhile glaring daggers at each other before Inuyasha was finally able to stand up. Inuyasha suddenly turned around and started stomping back towards the well house. “Fine I don’t need some stupid girl like you to help me find the jewel shards” Kagomes face went from anger to complete shock and back again. Suddenly smirking she yelled after him “why exactly are you here then?” Inuyasha stopped walking for a second. He swung around and thought of the best most mature come back he had at the time “oh wouldn’t you like to know” Kagomes eyes opened wide then she let out an enraged scream. ARRRGHHHHHHHHH!!!!  “FINE THEN!”  “FINE!” inuyash turned around to enter the well house he heard a strange rumble coming from above him. Suddenly a huge wall of snow and slush fell from the roof of the well house. ~ convenient ne? ~ All of there yelling and screaming had loosened the snow from the well houses roof and the near by trees. That last “fine” from our beloved dog- boy sent it plummeting down. Filling the inside  and blocking the entrance to the well house and his way back home. Inuyasha and Kagome stared at the mountain of seemingly innocent white snow before Inuyasha let out a string of curses and started digging away.

 Kagome sighed and took a cleansing breath. Tilting her head up to the sky. Black clouds had begun to form and a light snow started to fall. She shivered slightly and looked back at Inuyasha. She shook her head. “It’s no use, there is to much snow, it would take at least a day to dig it out” Inuyasha turned to glare at her. “Besides,” she said cutting him off as he opened up his mouth to say something.  “I think were in for a bad storm.”  He looked to the sky and saw that she was right, dark clouds were forming more quickly and the light powder of snow from earlier was starting to get heavier. He looked back when he heard Kagome sneeze. “It’s freezing I’m going back inside” Kagome started walking towards the door. She stopped about half way there and looked over her shoulder “you coming? You’re stuck here anyway” Inuyasha glared at the mound of snow then at the darkening sky. “feh” he slowly got up and followed her inside.

Once inside Inuyasha watched her hang up her jacket. She turned to him and held out her hand “her give me your yukita, it’s soaked” he just glared at her and turned away. “Come on Inuyasha you’ll freeze, besides I couldn’t have gone with you anyway” Inuyasha swung around his eye twitching a little “y-y-you what?” “I couldn’t have gone back with you anyway” ” Why didn’t you tell me that in the first place!!” Inuyasha roared.  “Would you have listened” Inuyasha stopped and thought about it for a moment and realized that no, he probably wouldn’t have listened. >but she still have a better have a good  excuse!< he thought irritably. As if reading his thoughts she continued “I got sick and since diseases here are different than those back in your time I thought it would be best if I stayed here” Inuyasha looked at her blankly for a moment before pointing to himself. “Kagome I’m half demon, I don’t normally catch human colds” “yes but Miruko and sago can” kagome sighed. She had him on that one inuyasha thought as they walked in to the kitchen. He began to wonder if maybe he had been a little rash, but quickly pushed it out of his mind. His sensitive nose then began to pick up on delicious smells causing his tummy to growl. Kagome laughed releasing the tension from the room. “Sounds like your hungry” she said walking over to a cabinet. :”how about some ramen?” Inuyashas eyes lit up at the mention of his favorite meal.  He never turned down ramen. He watched her go through the motions if preparing the dish and soon they were both sitting in the living room eating. Inuyasha was busy scarfing down his beloved ramen when the phone started to ring. Inuyasha jumped, looking wildly about to see what had caused the noise. Kagome giggled a little before she went to pick up the phone.  Inuyasha watched as She picked up a small box and held it to her ear. “Hello, oh hi mom yes I’m fine…………”kagome continued to talk in to the small box while Inuyasha tuned her out. He sat in his normal cross legged position with a slight blush on his face. >stupid wench,< he thought irritably >how dare she laugh at me, it’s not my fault that THING started screaming, I mean ANYONE would have been startled< he rationalized to him self>something like that is just not natural!< his wanderings came to a halt when his ears picked up the tone in Kagome’s voice. As he turned to face her he saw that there was a slight frown on her face. “Yeah mom, I’ll be fine. No don’t worry, really ill be ok. Do you need me to call and check on Sota? Are you sure? All right. No no it’s not your fault. Ok, I love you to mom, bye.” Inuyasha listened with veiled curiosity  to Kagome’s exchange with the small box, which he figured was somehow connected to her mother .~ what a smart puppy ~ he watched Kagome sit down the phone and nervously bite her lip. “What was that about?” he said gruffly pointing to the phone. He was still a tad miffed that she had laughed at him earlier.  Kagome lifted her gaze from the phone “that was my mom, she and my grand father have been snowed in at some convention. Mom said that another storm was coming are way, its supposed to be pretty bad.” Inuyasha tilted his head thoughtfully “think it has anything to do with those storm clouds we saw earlier” Kagome nodded. Normally she wasn’t to worried about storms, but this one sounded bad. And her mom had sounded pretty worried. She got up and went over to the TV and flipped it on tuning in to the news. Inuyasha started as the small box filled with images and started projecting sound. After a moment of shock his face turned angry.  “Damnit, stop doing that!!” Kagome looked at him blankly for a moment. “Doing what?” “THAT!” Inuyasha yelled pointing to the television screen. He stopped ranting suddenly and squinted at the TV. “Are those people trapped in there?” he asked pointing to the screen where a newscaster sat reading of the latest story. Kagome looked from the screen to Inuyasha a knowing smile creeping on to her face. <I should have known better,> she thought <I keep forgetting everything in this time is knew to him >  shaking out of her thoughts she turned to him “I’m sorry Inuyasha, I forgot that my world is so different from yours.” “you’re damn right it is! What’s that guy doing running around with out his clothes? And why are those people screaming?” Inuyasha had put his face close to the screen and was now pointing at a seen of some man streaking at a sports event while people around him screamed. Kagome blushed and looked at the image in shock before smiling and nodding her head. “This show tells you about things that are going on in the world, I turned it on so we can learn more about this storm.” “Well it sure ain’t storming in there so I don’t see how it can help us.” Inuyasha said sitting back with a huff. Kagome laughed “they are just covering a basket ball game.” Inuyasha grunted “what’s a basket ball? And what the hell was that damn ringing earlier!?” Inuyasha unconsciously raised his hand to rub his sensitive ears. “By the gods that thing is loud” he said throwing a glare in the direction of the phone. Kagome laughed he really did look like a small child now sitting there his face in a pout. “That,” Kagome said gesturing “is a phone. It lets you talk to people far away from you. It makes that noise when someone wants to get in touch with you.” Inuyasha stared at the box in skepticism. He still didn’t like it too much. Suddenly they were interrupted by another noise. And if he thought the last one was loud he hadn’t heard anything yet. Inuyasha grabbed his ears and looked at the picture box where the noise seemed to be coming from. Suddenly the noise stopped, and a bright band flashed across the screen WARNING: WARNING: A SEVERE BLIZZARD HAS STRUK THE TOKYO AREA. WE ADVISE EVERYONE TO STAY INSIDE. WARNING: WARNING

Inuyasha turned his head to find Kagome staring at the screen, the frown that was on her face earlier had returned. “Kagome!, what the hell is going on? Why did that thing start screaming?.

Kagome looked over at Inuyasha her face grim. “That was an weather bulletin, it seems that storm mom called about IS headed this way. And it’s going to be a big one” “Feh, you keep forgetting girl I’m half demon a lil snow wont bother me.” Kagome sighed, “yes but this also means you’ll be staying here longer than we thought. If you think the snow out there is thick now just wait; there will be twice that much by morning. You may be stuck here for a while” Inuyasha frowned stuck here in this time alone….with…. He only thought about it a split second longer before jumping up and before she could stop him he was out the back door.

The wind had picked up considerably since they had gone inside. Inuyasha stalked over to the well house and began digging. He growled.  There was no way in hell he was going to get stuck here in this time. Alone…..with Kagome……in her house…. He started digging faster, snow flying out behind him. “Inuyasha” he heard her voice over the rising wind. “ Would you stop being such an idiot and come inside, there is no way you are going to dig through all of that tonight” “watch me” he growled over his shoulder. Kagome stepped back a hurt look on her face. “Does he hate being with me that much?” she thought. Then her face hardened, “Inuyasha don’t be an ass you will freeze to death out her demon or not!” he just ignored her as he continued to shovel out snow with his claws. Kagome growled in the back of her throat. “Don’t make me say it” Inuyasha stopped digging and glared at her through the snow. They stood like that for a moment staring each other down when, “SIT!” *flop* “BITCH!” Kagome stomped over to where Inuyasha lay face down in the snow only his fuzzy ears sticking up. “Inuyasha you are coming inside weather you like it or not! I don’t care if I have to do this a thousand times to get you to do it” he raised his head up enough to glare at her. Her faced softened a little and with a sad smile she said “is it really that awful to have to stay here with me?” Inuyasha slowly sat up. >No, it’s not awful at all< he thought to himself. >That’s the problem< the main reason he had come to this time, other than to drag her back with him, was just to see her. When she hadn’t come back he had begun to get worried. That scared him he wasn’t used to these emotions. He had come figuring that if he could drag her back to his time at least he would be able to keep an eye on her, but he hadn’t planed on this, planed on being alone……….with her…..in her house. His thoughts started trailing of again. He shook his head once more to clear his mind “fine” he growled. Inuyasha heard a small sigh of relief “good lets go inside now I’m freezing” Kagome stood up and Inuyasha followed her in to the house through the heavy blanket of snow.

 When they got indoors Kagome hung up her coat to dry. Inuyasha grumbled and went to sit in the middle of the living room floor to sulk. Kagome stared at him. He was soaking wet. His yukita was dripping water all over the floor and his silver white hair was matted to his head. “Your wet” she stated simply. He only grunted in return. She sighed and looked down at her own clothes, noting that they were wet to. She shivered feeling the cold water soak through to her skin.

“Well I guess we should get out of these cloths and get warm.” Inuyasha gave her a startled look from the floor. “C’mon dog boy” she said bending down and pulling him up. She led them up stairs in to a room with white tile. There was a large bath and a small tiled room a seat with a hole in it as well as some kind of basin attached to the wall. Inuyashas eyes opened wide in sudden realization. >She doesn’t want to…..<  he thought wildly. “Ok, I guess you get the bath considering that’s what you’re used to. And ill take the shower” Kagome instructed as she walked over to the bath and turned some knobs. Inuyasha stared wide-eyed as water began pouring from a small tap. She turned towards him “stay here. I’m gonna go see if I can find you some dry clothes.” She left the room leaving a stunned and dripping dog – demon in the middle of it.

Kagome quickly ran up stairs to the attic shivering when the cold air hit her wet cloths. She found the trunk in the corner containing some of her father’s old clothes and found some that looked like they’d fit. Saying a quick prayer she went back down stairs, stopping by her room to drop of the clothes on her bed. When she re-entered the bath room she found Inuyasha busy studding the toilet with great curiosity. Inuyasha, hearing her enter he gave her a funny look and pointed at the toilet “ Kagome, what the heck is this for? A chair with a hole through the seat what kind of good does that do?” Kagome couldn’t hold in her laugh causing the Inuyasha  to blush. “What? what’s so damn funny?” “Nothing,” Kagome said waving her hand her laughter dying down. “That, Inuyasha is a toilet, in this time when people need to ……..relieve themselves this is where they go to do it.” Inuyasha looked confused for a moment before realization lit up in his eyes and another blush, this one darker than the last, stained his face. Kagome suppressed another giggle. She walked over and turned the water of in the bath “You dry of on theses towels over here once your done. ”she pointed over to the scraps of cloth hanging on the wall. “The soap is sitting on the side. Use this stuff in your hair. “She picked up the shampoo bottle and showed him how to open it. “Ill be in the shower over there “ she pointed to the small tiled room. “Ok then.”

She walked over to the small room and stepped inside. Inuyasha watched as first a shirt, a pair of jeans, and finally some small garments he had heard Kagome call underwear were tossed out the door. He heard the water start in the shower and he stood there blushing furiously. Quickly shaking his head he mentally chided himself >idiot, get your mind out of the gutter! Como’n you have seen her naked before! Right?< Iuyasha gave a silly grin before shaking himself back to reality.>God, your almost as bad as that houshi Miroku< he thought to him self. He slowly began peeling of his cloths giving quick glances over his shoulder making sure that she wasn’t looking. Then quickly hopped into the warm bath.

 Kagome heard the small splash as Inuyasha jumped in to the tub. <What a day> Kagome sighed as she felt the hot water against her skin. <One minute I’m thinking about Inuyasha the next minute he’s here. Cussing me out and telling me he is gonna take me back with him like some kind of Neanderthal. Then the well house fills up with snow do to some kinda freak avalanche, trapping both of us in this time. Top it of with a huge blizzard that’s keeping him here even longer than before. Now he’s not more than five feet away from me bathing> she blushed at that last thought. She really did like Inuyasha. A lot. No, she corrected herself she didn’t just like him she loved him. She smiled, to herself before frowning slightly only problem was she was pretty sure he didn’t feel quite the same way. She sighed as she finished up her shower rinsing out her hair. Turning of the water She reached out and grabbed her towel and wrapped it securely around her body. When she stepped out she found Inuyasha standing there with a towel wrapped loosely around his waist. They stood there staring at each other for a moment. Both blushing furiously.

 Kagome flushed bright red. “I…um found some cloths that I think will fit you. There in……..um…… follow me.” She trailed of turning around and walking towards her room. Inuyasha mutely followed. He knew that he was blushing he could feel the heat in his cheeks. When he entered another room behind her he felt something being shoved at him. “Here are some dry clothes, I’m going to go change in my closet you just yell when your done ok?” after instructing him, Kagome quickly disappeared in to the safety of her own closet.

 Inuyasha looked around the room. This was her room. He knew this because he had come here many times to drag her back to his time with him. That and the fact that her sent was the strongest here, stronger than anywhere else in the house. He looked down at the garments Kagome had shoved in his arms, a pair of flannel pajama bottoms and an old T-shirt. He tugged them on, calling out that he was dressed and went to sit cross-legged on her bed to wait for her.

Kagome came out dressed in her familiar pajamas and went to join him on the bed. She reached to her night table and picked up a brush and began brushing out her wet hair. They sat there silence each stealing small looks at each other from the corner of there eyes and blushing. Suddenly Inuyasha felt something warm and soft rub up against his leg. Jumping he let out a surprised yelp. Looking down he saw a pair of feline eyes starring back at him. Kagome chuckled and set down her brush. “Buyo, did you scare the big bad dog-demon. She heard Inuyasha growl from somewhere behind her as she scooped the cat in to her arms. Inuyasha eyed the cat warily as Kagome set it up on the bed. Buyo sauntered over to Inuyasha and began rubbing up against him purring like a steam engine. Inuyashas eyes widened for a moment before he let out a soft chuckle. “Doesn’t this thing know a demon when he sees one” Kagome smiled back. This was kinda nice just her and Inuyasha, and well Buyo. But still everything was so..calm. She watched as Inuyasha proceeded to pet his lap full of furry kitty. His golden eyes held a soft look that she rarely saw. His silver-white hair falling over them haphazardly. His hair. His hair, was a mess. He reminded her of a big wet dog. The comparison made her giggle slightly. Inuyasha looked up from petting Buyo to find out what she thought was so damn funny and found her staring at him. Suddenly she grabbed her brush and said “turn around” “what?” turn around, your hair is a mess and it’s driving me nuts, so I’m going to fix it” Inuyasha just stared at her incredulously for a moment before turning around. She situated herself behind him and began working from the bottom of his main freeing all the tangles.

Inuyasha began to relax as he got used to the feeling of the brush sliding through his hair. His eyes began to droop languorously a small smile forming on his face. >This feels kinda good< he thought to him self. Suddenly he gave a small start as the back of one of her hands rubbed up against one of his sensitive ears. “Oh, oops I’m sorry Inuysha, I didn’t mean to touch your ears I know how much you hate that!” Inuyasha turned around a little so that he could face her and gave her a small smile “it’s ok I don’t mind. Actually it feels kinda……good” he trailed of towards the end breaking eye contact with her. “Oh” Kagome let out a small breath of air. She cautiously reached one small hand up to stroke behind one of his ears. Inuyashas eyes opened wide to go back droopy in pleasure. Kagome gave a small smile he really did seem too enjoy this. He tilted his head in to her hand a little so she could rub his ear better. Suddenly his sleepy eyes drifted back to her own. They sat there a moment radiating different feelings between their eyes. Kagome’s hand slowed on his ear and there heads slowly started coming together. Suddenly the power went of and Buyo let out a scream. They both jerked apart the moment broken. Both of them blushing furiously, cursing power outages not to mention loud cats. 

“I..um I guess the power went out huh?” Kagome squeaked glade that the sudden darkness hid her growing blush. <He almost kissed me> she thought dazedly “I’ll um, just try to find some candles” Inuyasha nodded dumbly as he felt her weight shift when she got of the bed. >I almost kissed her< he thought to himself blushing >she almost kissed me!!< He wiped the silly grin of his face right before Kagome lit a match and held it to a candle. The light from the candle illuminated her face as she turned towards Inuyasha.    “I guess I should go check the breaker” Kagome said turning towards the door. Inuyasha only hesitated a moment before jumping up to join her. “Ill go with you, you might need my help” Kagome looked at him dubiously “Inuyasha I don’t see how you cou..” Inuyasha cut her of pointing to his eyes “I can see in the dark remember” Kagome stopped and nodded. Then she began leading them through the hose down to the cellar. Between her candle and Inuyashas eyes and several minutes of bickering later. They came to the resounding conclusion that yes, the breaker was fried. They trudged up stairs both cold and disappointed. Taking up their former positions at opposite ends of Kagome’s bed they sat there in silence. Buyo jumped up on to the bed and began rubbing himself up against Inuyasha again. Inuyasha lazily reached out to stroke behind the cats ears. Kagome looked over at him watching the candle light flutter across his face. <He really is beautiful> she thought absently to herself. Suddenly she sat up straight a smile spreading across her face. She turned and grabbed Inuyashas hand tugging on it. “Come with me Inuyasha I have an idea” Inuyasha was startled when Kagome grabbed his hand but obediently followed her out the door. Kagome led them up another flight of stairs that led to the attic. Once inside Inuyasha stopped walking. His sudden stop making Kagome jerk back. “What the hell did you drag me up here for?” Kagome smiled back at him and led him over to the far side of the room. She stopped in front of a shaded window “look” she pulled back the blinds to revel a picture perfect snowy landscape. The temple grounds were covered in snow that sparkled slightly in the night sky. More snow was falling swirling around leaving nothing untouched. It was a truly beautiful sight. Kagome giggled at Inuyashas dazed expression. Sitting down she pulled him down next to her. They leaned against an old trunk watching the snow fall in an awed silence. Inuyasha attention was drawn back to Kagome when he felt her shiver next to him. “Your cold” Kagome looked up at the sound of Inuyashas voice. She hadn’t noticed it before but he was right she was kinda cold. The houses warmth didn’t reach up In to the attic.

She gave a slight shudder and looked around. Spotting a trunk full of blankets she crawled over to it. “What are you doing” Inuyasha called curiously after her. “What does it look like dog boy, I’m getting a blanket” picking out a good sized blanket Kagome crawled back over to in Inuyasha and plopped down next to him. Inuyasha watched as she unfolded the blanket. His eyes widened when she wrapped the blanket around the two of them. His eyes nearly popped out of his head when he felt the weight of her head being laid on his shoulder. A blush staining his cheeks he looked down at her serene face watching the storm out side and gave a small smile. Cautiously his arm wrapped around her waist. Holding her close and he leaned back watching the winter performance laid out before them.

 Kagome let out a small sigh. Unconsciously snuggling deeper in to Inuyashas arms. She watched fascinated as the snowflakes fell from the night sky. She had forgotten all about this place until she had to come up here earlier to get Inuyasha some clothes.

 “It really is lovely isn’t it?” Inuyasha looked back down at the sound of her voice. “I used to come up here when it snowed when I was little, it always reminded me of a fairy land” Kagome looked up to smile at Inuyasha only to find there faces mere inches apart. Inuyasha looked down at the girl he held in is arms. In to her sweet face and soft brown eyes, and then suddenly it clicked suddenly he fully comprehended just how deep his feelings went for her. Slowly he leaned down to capture her lips with his own in a soft sweet chaste kiss. Kagome sighed, looking back in to his deep amber eyes and twining her arms around his neck. “Inuyasha,” Kagome whispered “mmm” “I love you” Inuyasha smiled and leaned down to her ear “I love you to Kagome” Kagome smiled just as his lips caught hers again. Though the kiss started out chaste it soon deepened. ~ Now we can’t blame him, after all he is a 17-year-old dog demon. ~  Inuyasha relished in her taste, something sweet and something so Kagome, together the two formed something intoxicating. Kagome sighed as his tongue entered her mouth. Chocolate had nothing on him. He tasted heavenly yet she had a feeling something this good should be sinful. He tore his ravishing lips away from hers to place soft feathery kisses along her neck. Drinking in her sent. He made a low rumbling in the back of his throat as she reached up to caress his ears. Nuzzling her neck he leaned up to brush her lips with his one more time before leaning back and pulling her against him. Kagome smiled and curled up next to Inuyasha placing her head on his chest. They stayed like that, holding each other watching the snow outside dance against the wind.

Epilogue:

Kagome grinned as she threw the last thing in to her pack. It had been three days since the winter storm had hit. Her mom and her grandfather had gotten home carting Sota with them. <Boy Sota was sure happy to see Inuyasha> she giggled to her self, thinking of how much her brother idolized Inuyasha. “What’s so funny?” Kagome turned around at the sound of a familiar voice in the doorway. Inuyasha leaned against the doorframe all demon arrogance. Kagome picked up her pack and walked up to him. “Oh it was nothing I was just thinking how much Sota idolized you” “Feh” Inuyasha turned his nose up to the sky. Kagome giggled when she saw a pink tinge grace his features. She grabbed his hand “common lets go” he looked down at her out of the corner of his eye and smiled, obediently following her out to say goodbye to her family. They said their good-byes to Kagome’s family. Kagome saving Inuyasha from her mother, who wanted to pet his ears just one more time. As they enterd the well house, which had been cleaned out do to a lot of hard work and some help from Inuyasha, Kagome heard Inuyasha grumble “why does your mom always wanna mess with my ears” the said ears twitched in annoyance. Kagome giggled stopping at the well. Reaching up and rubbing behind both ears. “Inuyasha,” she said sweetly “its simple, your ears are just so adorable there irresistible” Inuyasha began to rumble in the back of his throat a lazy smile covered his face, his eyes going droopy. suddenly the hands on his ears left. Inuyasha whimpered slightly. “Kagome?” Kagome grinned “common’ dog-boy, time to go” Kagome threw one leg over the lip of  the well. Inuyasha whined in protest, “ but Kagome that’s not fair!” then in a quieter voice he whispered “You know what that does to me!” Kagome turned back and gave him and absolutely evil smile. “I know.” Then she threw her other leg over the edge and jumped in. it took Inuyasha a split second to realize what had happened before a predatory grin flashed across his face “so you wanna play wench?” he jumped in to the well in a single leap.

Once on the other side Kagome scrambled out of the well. She no sooner put her feet on the ground when Inuyasha jumped out behind her grabbing her arm. “eeepp” Kagome squealed when Inuyasha spun her around. “Your not playing nice” he growled making her shiver. “What ya gonna do about it” she challenged giving him a huge grin. Inuyasha smirked then hauled her against him crushing his mouth to hers. Kagome giggled in to the kiss wrapping her arms around his neck standing on tiptoe his arms wrapped around her. She happily let herself fall victim to the bliss that always came with one of Inuyashas kisses.

They stayed like that for quite some time unaware of there surroundings, when a small voice spoke up from some where near by “don’t they need to breath soon?”  Inuyashas ears swiveled towards the voice. Shippo squeaked as a hand was smacked over his eyes “this is not something for children to see” said a grave voice. Inuyasha and Kagome looked up to  find four…erm three pairs of eyes staring at them. “Oh don’t lets us bother you” said a young priest holding a struggling kistune “though if you don’t mind me saying,” Miruku continued leaning over in a confidential manner " I never thought you had it in you. Good show Inuyasha” Miruku gave the stunned Inuyasha a slap on the back. “WHY YOU LITTLLE……” Inuyasha started shaking one fist at Miroku, his face a lovley shade of red, while the other arm wrapped protectively around Kagome. * Slap* Miruku fell to the ground a large handprint on the back of his head. “Shut up houshi,” said a strong female voice “I’m happy to see you again Kagome” Sango said smiling happily at Kagome from behind Miroku’s prone body. A small flea landed on Inuyashas shoulder “lord Inuyasha! I’m so very glad to see you are alright! But shouldn’t you have sent word? And please don’t tell me you have soiled lady Kagome I couldn’t forgive mys…..” “ACKKK STUPID BUG!!!” Inuyasha cut Myoga of by squashing him between his fingers. His face who had just started returning to its original color reverting back to an even deeper red. Shippo had managed to free himself when Miruku had been pummeled and ran up and attached himself to Kagome’s leg “oh, Kagome I’m so glad you’re back I was so worried!” squeaked the little fox “but why were you kissing Inuyasha? You can’t have picked him him?? He is just a fowl mouthed mangy….EEEEPPP” “SHUT UP FOX!” Inuyasha said grabbing him and bopping him on the head. A vein in his forehead ticking dangerously. Kagome laughed at the antics going on around her and sat her head on Inuyashas shoulder. Boy was she glad to be back.
