All major gaming tournaments are held in Swiss format. The general idea behind Swiss format is that every player has the opportunity to play in every round, and at the end of the tournament the player with the best record is ranked first, and so on.

In this format, there is the chance that more than one player will finish the tournament with the same record. In these cases, three distinct tiebreakers are considered in order to rank these players. These tiebreakers are:

Due to the Swiss format, the only way for a player to be eliminated from one of our events is by informing our software engineers that they would like to drop from the event. Players often drop from main events in order to take high level judge testing or to participate in side events, but the Swiss format ensures that every player has the chance to spend the day playing their favorite card game.
