Our Goals
Guided by the teachings of Immortal Master Lu, the goals of The Jeng Sen Association are:
-To promote the original teachings of Taoism andn Buddhism through lectures and publications.
-To purify minds and cultivate the spirit through chanting and cultivation services.
To benefit society through charitable work and support of educational, disaster relief and temple construction programs. (Over the years, the Jeng Sen Temple has donated over one half million US dollars towards these efforts.)
The temple is open to all as a center of spiritual refuge. Our activities include regular chanting and cultivation services on every new full moon of the Chinese lunar calendar and special religious festivals and lectures throughout the year.
Our services and programs are conducted in Chinese (Cantonese) and most of our literature is in Chinese. However, during major festival days, our English speaking Temple Leader, Lin Yi Shi, and volunteers are available to answer questions and provide consultation. Please check our schedule of events for festival days.
The association is registered as a non-for-profit charitable organization with the State of California and supported solely through donations and the volunteer services of members.
We welcome all to generously support and volunteer in our efforts to pormote a proper understanding of Taoism and Buddhism, inspire good karma in our community, and foster peace in the world!
