ACT III SCENE III
Cell 1
The cardinal lays in bed while King Henry, Warwick and
Salisbury enter to talk to him. In this scene King
Henry, Warwick and Salisbury say that the Cardinal is
going to die. The Cardinal states that he does not want
to die.
KING HENRY VI: Ah, what a sign it is of evil life, Where
death's approach is seen so terrible!

lives. The Captain says that he will spare Suffolk's life.
But Suffolk says he is a gentleman and that he will
pay.

at what thou wilt, thou shalt be paid.

clerk says his name is Emmanuel and says he can read
and write, every one says that he is a traitor because
he can do so and say for all to away with him.
CLERK: Sir, I thank God, I have been so well brought up
that I can write my name.

Michael enters looking for the general, Cade says He is him,
Michael says that Cade should flee because King
Henry's forces are near by, Cade knights himself and is
ready to battle.
