This is an FAQ about Hellsing! If you have any questions that don't appear here, ask on the message board!

• Is there going to be another season of Hellsing?
• It was finally announced that a brand new Hellsing OVA is in the making. It probably isn't a second season (ie. it won't start from where the first one ended), but it will be more Hellsing. It is supposed to follow the manga closer than the first series did.

• The ending of Hellsing confused me. What was going on? Why was Integra in prison?
• The progress of events in the last couple of episodes:
  • The press is told that the ceremony involving the Queen will take place at the Tower of London. The Queen's flag is raised showing that she is at the Tower.
  • The Queen is actually on her way to the Hellsing mansion to perform the ceremony there. The flag at the Tower is a diversion.
  • Incognito and his S.A.S. turned Freak group attack the Tower of London where the Queen is supposed to be.
  • Seeing that they took the bait, Hellsing goes to the Tower to attack the S.A.S. Freaks.
  • After hearing that the Tower was attacked, the Queen turns around.
  • The Round Table Conference tells the British army that Hellsing is attacking the Tower with the Queen inside, betraying and framing Integra.
  • The army heads to the Tower and attacks Hellsing.
  • Integra is later arrested for the attack. Although the Queen knows she is innocent, the public has now been told that Hellsing exists and that they are terrorists.

• Who is Alucard?
• Spell his name backwards. He is in fact Vlad III Dracula. In the anime in the last episode there is a lightning flash which shows half of Vlad's face. The Hellsing manga takes the view that Vlad III, Bram Stocker's Count Dracula, and Alucard are the same person. Alucard, in both the anime and the manga, still has a habit of impaling his enemies on, well, whatever happens to be available.

• What do Alucard's gloves/guns say? What do Anderson's gloves say?
  • In the anime:
    • Alucard's gloves read: "HELLSING - HELLS GATE ARRESTED - GOTT MIT UNS - AND SHINE HEAVEN NOW".
    • The Casull reads: "Hellsing ARM 454 Casull AUTO".
    • The Jackal reads: "Jesus Christ is in Heaven now".
    • Anderson's gloves read: "Jesus Christ is in HEAVEN" on the right hand.
      "SPEAK with DEAD" on the left hand.
  • In the manga:
    • Alucard's gloves are mostly giberish.
    • The Casull reads the same as in the anime, except on the cover of Vol. 1.
      "Hellsing 13mm clockwork Giant PANDAS".
    • The Jackel is the same as in the anime.
    • Anderson's gloves are the same as in the anime until volume 4. His right had then reads "Speak with the Dead". In volume 8 there is a change again as his left hand now reads: "Section 13 Iscariot".

• What does "Gott Mit Uns" mean?
• It is German for "God with us".

• Aren't there supposed to be Nazis in Hellsing?
• Yes, but they only appear in the manga.

• Why is the anime so different from the manga?
• Because when the anime was made, there wasn't much manga to work from. So the manga was followed for as long as it could be, but the last half of the anime had to be made up (except episode 10 and part of 7 do have some manga backing). Incognito doesn't exist in the manga, he was a final badguy for Alucard to battle as there didn't exist one in the manga yet.

• Is Schrodinger, or anyone else in Millenium, a werewolf?
• Yes and no. Schrodinger refers to himself as a "verevolf", but he isn't talking about being a Werewolf in the sense that he turns into a wolf. It's more likely that he is talking about being a part of the Werwolf Movement. The "Werwolves" fought for the Nazis using guerilla attacks and recruited out of the Hitlerjugend or Hitler Youth. Schrodinger is most definitly a member of the Hitler Youth. As for his species, he's likely just a cat-boy. His name (from Schrodinger's cat) and his ability to be "everywhere and nowhere" strongly suggest it.

• Does the Major have a name?
• As of now, he has not been given a name in the Hellsing manga, but he was refered to as "Montana Max" in the manga Coyote. Wether they are the same character is unknown.

• Who are the guys in Seras' and Alucard's dreams?
• In Seras' dream we see a man who calls himself "The Spirit of the Harkonnen". He is also the guy that appears in the Previews in the anime. This guy would appear to be Baron Harkonnen from Dune.
• In Alucard's dream we see "The Spirit of the Jackal" named "Willis". This would be Bruce Willis who stared in the movie "The Jackal". Christopher Walken also makes an appearance.
