Have you ever wondered what it would be like to find the Holy Grail? The one thing everyone wants, but has eluded them for years, or even centuries. Well, in Outlaw Star, Gene Starwind, Jim Hawking, and Melfina, go on the search for the Galactic Leyline, and whoever finds it gains ultimate power. Gene and Jim are partners in a repair shop, and when pirate hunting. One day, they take on a job for a woman to be her bodyguard. Soon they discover, that this woman is Hilda, an outlaw, and she has taken something very valuable from a group of pirates. The thing she took from them is Melfina, and android who has no memory or even knows why she was created. after escaping the pirates, Hilda takes Gene, Jim, and Melfina to an astroid near a star, were the most technologically advance spacecraft, the XGP-15A2 is hidden. Hilda sacrifices herself so gene could escape in the newly named Outlaw Star.

Outlaw Star is full of the best space battles I have ever seen, very good gun fights and hot girls. The voice dubbing was done very well, and the animation is excellent. Outlaw Star is a very unique show by making the ships have arms to fight with, and high speed tight maneuvers during the fights, rather than the traditional laser guns and such. The storyline will pull you in like a blackhole, and refuse to let its grip loose for many years. It also is very funny, action packed, and sometimes can be saddening, but that’s what makes Outlaw Star such a great show.
