Soliloquies

These are what Vash says during the previews of the next episode. I thought these were very nicely done so they deserved a spot on this site!

Episode 1 - Truth of Mistake
There's something that cannot be expressed in words. Human emotions. Emotions of the heart cannot be defined. But there's a way to read the emotions. Look into their eyes. The girl lied to me. But I believed her. The man lied to me. But I trusted him. But the moment I looked into his eyes, the angel of destiny began to unravel the truth. Just look into their eyes. There is only one truth.

Episode 2 - Peace Maker
Those who make mistakes blame themselves and close their hearts. It's impossible to fix the mistake. Men can't return to the past. That's why they drink. Drunks, lushes, sliding alcohol down their throat to dilute the memories that can't be denied. Frank Marlon the gunsmith does nothing but drink. And he questions the drained glass, "Am I wrong?" "Was I wrong?"

Episode 3 - Love & Peace
A past which can't be buried. A past which can't even be shaken. The sentiment inside of their hearts is equal. One for beloved parents, one for a beloved daughter... Two men can only find the answer behind their triggers. The moment the sentimental bullets flew towards each other, the men stood silent and wept. The past enslaves.

Episode 4 - Hard Puncher
Whenever something is gained, something is always lost. It's difficult to live without facing that fact. What is lost will never return. Important Things. Irreplaceable things. What is needed to keep those things is kept in the firm will packed into one bullet. Man knows, he knows that nothing will begin unless he speaks. And nothing will change, unless he knows.

Episode 5 - Lost July
The longer one holds onto a memory, the longer one lives in the past. The deeper the memory they hold onto, the more beautiful the past will become. The beautiful memories will eventually turn into hate. Even if they look ahead, they lose the ability to walk. As long as the heavy chain called Revenge continues to fetter the heart. As long as tears of sadness continue to flow.

Episode 6 - B.D.N.
There is a tragedy being endlessly repeated to fulfill a desire. The lust for conquest, the thrill of making people bend to your will is intense enough to make you shudder. There is a man who is a slave to that ecstasy. The leader of the Bad Lads, a man who shines Brilliant Dynamites Neon. The sand steamer will shake the moment the huge dynamos mounted on each of his shoulders begins to spark. In the pitch black darkness, the gruesome party begins. [B.D.N.]

Episode 7 - And between the wasteland and the sky...
People who sin say this: They had to, to survive. People who sin say this: It's too late now to stop. The shadow called Sin dogs them steadily from behind, without a word. Remorse and Agony are repeated, to finally end up at Despair. But sinners don't know that if they turn around, there is a light... a light which keeps shining on them ever so warmly. A light that will never fade.

Episode 8 - Murder Machine
I met a lone man in the desert, a traveling priest, Nicholas D. Wolfwood. He smiled and then told me I'm a trouble man. Faced with his all-seeing smile, I could say nothing in my defense. Did I meet this man because I was destined to? Or was it a small jest of God? The man's name is Nicholas D. Wolfwood.

Episode 9 - Quick Draw
I think I'd like to do something for somebody. I think it's good if some one smiles back when you smile at them. The beauty of voluntary acts and foster goodwill in the hearts of others. Love that is unconditional gives us respect as people. However, it's wrong to force love to try and keep it alive. In time, the strain will bloom into the flower called Lie, the deceptively thorny flower which hurts people.

Episode 10 - Escape from Pain
A choice between two things. The forked road every person brought into this world must eventually face. A crossroad. Whichever path they choose, they lose something. Whichever path they choose, they are unable to find happiness. But are there really only two paths to a forked road? No, there are infinite paths we could take. There is more than one path we should take. There is more than one path to the future.

Episode 11 - Diablo
All people have a sanctuary which must never be touched. A scar of sadness which must never be entered. The living confront each other to achieve their ideals. The man in the white coat told me, in a quiet voice, that he had finally found me, and that he wanted my life. That man smiled a smile deeper than darkness. Legato Bluesummers, a man fascinated by death...only spoke quietly.

Episode 12 - Vash the Stampede
Routine report, Date: July 20th... Two days after the incident caused by the man Monev. Tension sill runs high in the city. The events that occurred there made me realize something all over again. It's an awareness that becomes obscured as I keep regular contact with him, that being, the reason Vash the Stampede is called the Humanoid Typhoon. Yet I still don't understand. Why is it that so much trouble falls into this man's lap?

Episode 13 - Little Arcadia
If you only face forward, you can miss seeing something. It is a virtue to devote oneself to something, firmly believing in one's own ideals. But that doesn't mean it's alright to belittle the ideals and feelings of others. If you lead such a busy life, you may never realize how your parents feel. It's only self-satisfaction. It's alright to stop every now and then. If you want a moment's rest. If you want to feel what other people feel.
