Not much is known about the mysterious super-vampire Arucard. Apparently several hundred years old, Arucard has been hunting down lesser vampires ever since Integra found him in a crypt beneath the Hellsing Institution. He had been exposed to magical experiments by the Hellsing Institution, which turned him from a "regular" vampire into the juggernaut we know now. Arucard is a commanding, dangerous man who takes perverse pleasure in eliminating those vampires he considers weak and detrimental to the species. With the aid of his two custom-built handcannons, the Jackal and the 454 Casull, Arucard is the most powerful ally the Hellsing organisation currently has. Despite his bestial and ambiguously-evil nature, he still has human concerns. Arucard frowns upon the senseless killing of humans, and he has even taken on a neophyte apprentice, Sereas Victoria, whom he vampirized in order to save her life. Though something of a loner (like most vampires) he is loyal to his employers, who apparently pay him with endless bags of medical blood. He considers Integra his "Master" in the same way that he is Master to None so far 
A radically different design than the Joshua .454, the previous Hellsing standard. This handcannon weighs 19 kilos, is 39cm long, and carries six bullets. It uses a 13mm armour-piercing round. The shell casing is a gold alloy, the gunpowder is the Macedonium Company's NNA9 formula, and the slugs themselves are an amalgam of blessed silver and mercury. |
