The snow poured, the sun beamed, the air was warm.

Santa looked out his window, the sun in his eyes, his eyes gleaming tenderly to the wind’s gale.

“Ho, ho, ho!” he projected happily. It was almost Christmas again. The twinkling lights of the far plunged his mind into joy. He could almost hear the silent sound of the hearts of little ones jumping with the Christmas spirit. Santa heard small footsteps running up his stairs and he looked back to his doorway as his door rang the sound of the knock of a little hand.

“Santa! You awake yet?” the low but happy voice sounded behind the door.

Santa chuckled and answered with his strong lung “Yes I’m awake” Santa opened the door after. The little elf stood up tall, though short as the elf was his still had a beaming smile.

“Miss Claus is waitin’ for you downstairs for breakfast!” the elf said enthusiastically.

“Well you sound awfully happy today” Santa added.

“Well it’s almost Christmas time again, and it’s always a joy”

Santa worked a smile and patted the short little elf with his hand, then he picked up the little elf and placed him on his shoulder and walked down the stairs to the kitchen where his meal was waiting. Another elf was waiting downstairs.

“We’re almost done makin’ the presents” the elf said strongly as he held a salute.

“Ho, ho then, good job” Santa commented with a good hearty smile as he walked into the bright lighted kitchen, the red, green and yellow lights decorated the place, and Santa’s smile rose even more. There was Mrs. Claus setting up a good plate of pancakes for him on the table.

“Breakfast is ready” Mrs. Claus said with a hearty smile and hug to Santa.

Santa sat at the table happily and picked up his fork.

“Hehehe…Christmas will suffer this year!” The evil elf murmured as he saw Santa’s big belly at the table. The dark elf sneaked over to Santa’s sleigh and started observing it for weakness.

“I can burn it! Yes! I’ll burn it” the elf grinned sadistically. The elf started gathering some flint and some plastic stuff he thought was more flint.

Then lit a good match and sneaked back lots of steps then threw the match on the flint.

Everyone in the toyshop jumped, as there was a huge explosion erupted nearby; they all froze for several seconds.

“What was that?” one elf said blinking

          “Dunno…” said another

“Go check!” said another elf, most of the elves zoomed out of the room to where Santa’s sleigh was supposed to be parked when they saw a huge crater instead of the sleigh and a black outline of an elf on the wall beside.

          “Well… that’s not good…” said one elf

“Where’s Santa’s Sleigh?!” Shouted another, flabbergasted.

“It went bye, bye” toddled a young elf.

“WHAT, AHHH, what are we gunna do now!!” yelled the elf that was in the huge smoking crater.

“Umm… make another one?” suggested another elf.

          “We can’t make another one!”

“We could… buy another one? Then?”

          “In two days?!”

          “Well… no…”

“Hide the thing!” the elves quickly placed a huge sheet on the crater.

Santa hadn’t heard the explosion; he just enjoyed his pancakes, while the elves desperately tried to make a new sleigh.

“That don’t look right…” said a young elf

“Who cares if it looks right?” said the carpenter elf

“Santa would” replied the young elf sticking out her tongue and blinking at the huge circular looking rocket like craft made of wood.

“Will it even get off the ground?”

“Well get the Reindeer and try it out!”

The elves went off and got the reindeer into the testing grounds, and set the new sleigh on the ground. Then the elves set about six anvils inside the rocket.

          “That should equal Santa’s weight!”

“… Okay pull!” the reindeer pulled hard and fast but the rocket just busted in half with a huge crack and fell apart into a large pile of rubble.

          “Well… that worked out fine…”

“Sarcastically speaking of course…”

“Lets go buy a new sleigh!”

“Quickly then!” all the elves chattered as they broke out and away into the street.

Santa came out onto the deck and admired the nice view but puzzled by the smell of smoke.

“Is something burning down there?” Santa asked looking down, and seeing a sheet where his sleigh should be.

“Well… that’s not right…” Santa said blinking and walking quickly downstairs, the elves gasped at him momentarily then went shifty eyed.

“Where’s my sleigh gone?” Santa asked quirking an eyebrow

“Well… umm… err…”

“Yes?”

“It blew …”

“Blewwww??”

“Up.” The elf replied with a nervous laugh.

“Whaaaaaatt” Santa said flabbergasted

“But no worries! We have a replacement!”

“Umm… replacement?”

“Yup!” the elf happily skipped to the outside and Santa followed.

Santa blinked at the black long hull with propellers on the top.

“Introducing the UH-60L!”

“UH-60L?” Santa said staring at the huge thing.

“Blackhawk Helicopter! We have one for each of the reindeer!”

Santa staggered and blinked “Well… I guess we can try it”

“Lets practice!” said an elf excitedly.

The next day everyone was in place for the practice run.

“Okay turn the turbines! Were going for Christmas!” said Santa as the whirling of the engines started, one reindeer in each of the choppers and Santa in his own, they all lifted up one by one with elves with presents stacked in the backs of all of them. The convoy circled the house and then did their practices. It took two days and at Christmas night they were ready.

The twinkling lights of the world were their guides; the convoy started their engines and took off one by one, like practice.

“Ho, ho, ho!” Santa said excitedly as the squad of choppers filled the air, and the twinkling lights of each chopper lightened the sky.

“This is wicked!” said one of the reindeer piloting one of the choppers in Santa’s radio.

“We can get the deliveries done in no time like this!” said another.

“Ho, ho! Well what are we waiting for” the squad of choppers split in unison and
