Earth Dragonballs
Earth’s Dragonballs: The Dragonballs of Earth were created by a strange
Namekian (Kami) who didn’t know who he was or why he was on Earth. He landed
in Yunzabit Heights and grew up there eventually becoming the guardian of the
Earth. However, these 7 balls had a black star instead of the usual orange. Kami
had a dark evil that swelled within him and this evil entity tainted the
Dragonballs with an immeasurable amount of evil energy. He decided to scatter
them throughout the universe to ensure that nobody would obtain them and wish
upon the dragon inside. That was how the Black Star Dragonballs were created in
Dragonball GT. The evil still brewed within him so he expelled the entity into a
whole other being, Piccolo, who was pure evil. However, with the expulsion of
the evil energy Kami had become pure of heart and mind and succeeded at creating
a free from evil set of Dragonballs that he scattered to all different parts of
the Earth.
The Second Set: During the Cell Saga, Kami was forced to fuse with his
reincarnated other half, Piccolo, in order to help defeat Cell. But, by doing
this, he turned the current Dragonballs into useless balls of stone. Goku then
traveled to New Namek and brought back Dende, a Namekian child that the Z
warriors had met during the Namekian Saga, to be the new Guardian of the Earth.
On his arrival to Earth, Dende created another set of Dragonballs which were now
modified to grant two wishes instead of the one wish that the previous set had
granted. Both sets summoned the immortal dragon Shenron.
Namek Dragonballs
Namekian Dragonballs: The original creator of the Dragonballs is unknown, but
the first Namekians on Namek created 7 Dragonballs, that would be the number
that all other sets would be based on. The first dragon was created to resemble
the Nameks except for its spikes and scales. This set started all the next sets
to come.
The second set: As Namekian life progressed life went well until a tragedy of
major proportions hit as there were terrible storms, a long drought and crops
started to die. Soon, bodies of water were completely dried up and all the
Namekians perished except for one. Guru, the eldest Namekian began to spawn
children to create a population on Namek. As the creator of the Dragonballs had
died, Guru decided to take it upon himself and create a new set. He named the
dragon Porunga and the dragon was able to grant 3 wishes. The Dragonballs stayed
on Namek and New Namek until Guru passed away on Earth. During the Buu Saga,
another set was created by the eldest Namek (not sure of name). It had the same
dragon, Porunga, but had been modified to be able to revive several billion
people with one wish (something the second set could not do).
