Episode 105- Bukimina Hagane no Juusoubi
The Ominous Heavy Steel Equipment

Amy Ishida No Review Yet
Arashi Reviewing: Episode 105 (Japanese)

Summary:
This episode begins with Jakotsu complaining to Renkotsu because he isn’t allowed to kill Inuyasha. Renkotsu clearly has a plan though, because he invites Jakotsu to finish quickly and come back to view ‘Inuyasha’s final moments.’ Dun dunn dunnnn…
Meanwhile, Inuyasha and Shippou are trying to find a place to hide their friends, so that the Shichinintai won’t attack while they’re poisoned. No such luck; however, when Ginkotsu attacks with blades and canon fire from all directions (how he has a canon, when Jakotsu didn’t even know what a gun was, is anyone’s guess). Inuyasha finds a cave to hide the others in, while he goes out to fight the current enemy, Ginkotsu. Unfortunately, said enemy finds the cave while Inuyasha is out.
However, Kirara manages to protect them until Inuyasha realizes what’s going on. During the fight, Ginkotsu uses metal wires to stop Inuyasha from swinging the Tessaiga, but Inuyasha eventually finds a way to attack from above.
Meanwhile, Shippou and Kirara find a temple to hide in. Not-so-great is the fact that this is the very temple in which Renkotsu abides, and Kagome is paralyzed and unable to let anyone know that he has jewel shards in his neck, marking him as one of the Shichinintai. Well, at least Renkotsu plans to help them live a little longer so that he’ll be able to ‘have a nice long talk’ with Inuyasha. What he truly means by that is yet to be determined. The episode closes with Inuyasha racing towards the temple as the sun sets. Oh noes! Will he make it in time?

Review:
Yeah, not a lot of different stuff in this one, but it’s still exciting. Unlike Mukotsu, Ginkotsu has a varied fighting technique, and I, for one, really enjoyed his first battle with Inuyasha. I also like his ‘gishi’ very much. It’s wonderfully annoying. Allow me to demonstrate, gishi. Aside from the battle, gishi, I must say that Renkotsu seems like the most evil of the Shichinintai so far, gishishi. Also, gishi, we have our ongoing and seemingly important poison crisis, which, once again, seems to be leading up to something, gishi. All in all, this is another fast paced, interesting, and fun-to-watch episode, gishigishishi. ^-^ Heheh…

Rating: 10/10

This episode has a well-paced plot that is well woven into the character development of Ginkotsu and Renkotsu. It’s also fast-paced, and the fight scenes are better than many of the others in recent episodes. Episode #105 is quite simply well done.

Ketsurui Reviewing episode 105: The Ghastly Steel Plated Warrior

Summary:
Jakotsu is whining to Renkotsu about Inuyasha being HIS and how it's not fair that he can't get him. Renkotsu tells him he has another task for him and if he hurries, he can get to Inuyasha. Meanwhile, Inuyasha and Kirara are carrying the poisoned Kagome, Miroku, and Sango, trying to get them to safety. Suddenly, they are almost hit with some blades from across a river. Inuyasha suspects that it is the Inuyasha decides that they can't fight the Schichinintai in this condition. So, he leads them to the forest nearby, thinking that they can't see them with the trees as cover. He hears explosions behind him and sees missles coming down on them. The missles explode, causing a fire. Renkotsu and Jakotsu see and hear the explosions. Jakotsu hurries to get to see Inuyasha. As Ginkotsu keeps firing at them, Inuyasha and Kirara are trying to escape the burning forest. They eventually escape and find a small cave, where Inuyasha leaves Kagome and the others, telling Shippou and Kirara to protect them. He runs out of the cave and tries to find who has been firing at them. As Inuyasha runs off following a flash of light, Ginkotsu finds the small cave with Kagome and the others in it. He starts to attack the cave, drawing out Kirara. Kirara ends up getting injured trying to protect her commrades. Just before they are all killed by Ginkotsu, Inuyasha arrives and saves them with the wind scar. Inuyasha tells Kirara and Shippou to take Kagome, Sango, and Miroku away to a safer place. They agree and fly off, while Inuyasha is battling with Ginkotsu. They spot a temple and land there, finding a monk there that looks strangely like Renkotsu. Back with Inuyasha and Ginkotsu, every time Inuyasha tries to strike with the Tessaiga, it becomes stuck in wires around him, shot out by Ginkotsu. At the temple, Kagome awakens and is told by Shippou that they are being cared for by a kind monk. The monk walks in and Kagome notices jewel shards in his neck, realizing that he is one of the Schichinintai. Once again with Inuyasha, he becomes frustrated with the wires surrounding him. He realizes that the blades that Ginkotsu was using were spreading the wire the whole time. Back with Kagome and the others...Renkotsu puts them to sleep using a special type of incense. With Inuyasha, he is being beaten badly by Ginkotsu. Inuyasha finally sheaths his Tessaiga and charges him, dodging most of the blades and missles fired by Ginkotsu. Inuyasha leaps out of range of the wires. Ginkotsu looks around for him, and Inuyasha whips out his Tessaiga and lets loose a wind scar from above. Ginkotsu gets buried in the ground with boulders and everything on top of him. Inuyasha believes him dead and rushes off to find Kagome and the others.

Opinion:
It was an okay episode. There was a lot of cutting between Inuyasha and Kagome's groups. It left you hanging at the very end with Inuyasha running to get to his friends before sunset...and that was a good cliffhanger. Overall, the plot was a little boring for my taste. It still wouldn't be an episode you would want to miss. This episode proves essential to the Schichinintai saga, what with Ginkotsu and all.
