Just to remind you folks regarding your Ring ID. For
those who got the html fragment from this homepage, please remove the ++
from the code. Example:
<a
href="http://C.webring.com/go?ring=singaporeanimew1&id=++id++&addsite">Join</a>
changed
to:
<a href="http://C.webring.com/go?ring=singaporeanimew1&id=1&addsite">Join</a>
This is incorrect:
<a href="http://C.webring.com/go?ring=singaporeanimew1&id=++1++&addsite">Join</a>

I've deleted the old web ring, the original Singapore Anime Web Ring. I
only delete it one day earlier. I guess it doesn't matter since many
members abandoned their site. I have email all ring members, can't blame
me if they didn't update their email address. Things
has been quiet... Anyway Happy Chinese New Year! Holiday time!

I made a mistake in the
Customized Web Ring and the Default
Web Ring navigation code, which is now corrected. The
error is the Ring Hub's link, it should be:
<a
href="http://C.webring.com/hub?ring=singaporeanimew1&id=++id++&hub">Ring
Hub</a>
Thanks to Ring
member Leach for
informing me of the errors. Really sorry for any inconveniences caused.

I've moved the important
notice to it's own page. New ring members please take a while to
read it. Also created 23 ring
logos today.

I'm
wondering... Does this sounds weird to you? "Singapore
Anime Web Ring - I hope to get people in Singapore to be interested in Anime and Manga
and take the courage to make their own web sites. Web sites by anyone who live, work or study in Singapore are also
welcome." Hmmm... but I feel that they are part of the Singapore
community so that's nothing wrong right?
I should have wait for Arin to
transfer the old ring to me, but things drag on and I got impatient so I
created a ring with the same ring title. Now after 7 ring members joined
the new ring it's crazy to ask them to rejoin the old ring. I made the decision
to delete the old ring, one reason is that many of the sites in the old
ring are abandoned. But I still feel no good about deleting the old ring.
For your information there are
currently 165 sites on the old ring and more than half of them are no longer
active or simply disappeared. Unless, the new ring members on the new ring are willing to rejoin the old
ring and make the changes. But this is unlikely so I will delete the old ring on 10 February
2002.
(All theses ring stuff, I
think read too much Lord of the Rings)

I am busy
creating new web ring logos, I have found quite a number of nice logos
created by
former ring members. As
they will take quite a while to load on this page so I'll have to create
another page specially for the logos. You are welcome to make your own
logos! But the logo must have the name Singapore Anime Web Ring on
it.
Meanwhile I am
proud to welcome the first Singapore web site to join the ring!
NUS CACS Anime Club Online
Sadly it seems that most
former ring member doesn't update their web sites anymore, I understand
that they are probably working and busy making a 'living'. So I don't
think I will inform them to join up again.
All thing fades
away...

The html
fragment is done. I am not good in html so you have to edit the web ring
to suit your taste. Any comments and suggestion please drop me a email.

I took over this
web ring from Arin as
he is now too busy to handle it. But Arin didn't transfer the ring
ownership to me, I created a new web ring with the same name. It seems
that Arin have problems with the ring during the host migration, he can't
edit anything now. Therefore he gave me permission to carry on.
I'm not sure but I think
that most people new to Internet doesn't know what a web ring is, but I hope to keep it going. Currently I'm
still working on the details and ring code.
