The Key

Now as you ask yourself 'WHAT HAPPENED TO KEN? He has cat eyes!', you must also ask yourself 'did I actually read Longing For Paradise?' Well, nevermind, don't bother asking that. Who is the Key? Where did he come from? Ever wonder why I talk so much?

Okay, so I won't answer that last question. The Key is Ken, just endowed with a heck of a lot of power. It may seem that the Key is a separate entity, but only because he goes through a personality change when Ken turns into him. The Key is impatient, and can at times seem almost full of himself. But he's still Ken. Great power like that the Powers gave him does tend to do weird things to people. In Ken's case it turns him into an angel-like being driven by the need to destroy all evil. His purpose is to cleanse the Digital and Real Worlds of the demon threat and to create Paradise. Period. No pressure, Ichijouji!

But where did he come from, really? If you want the truth, I'll give you the truth. He came from two sources, scrambled around in my brain and coughed back up. One is the song 'Hands' by Jewel. Specifically, the line 'In the end, only Kindness matters.' Okee, I know that's weird, but it makes perfect sense to me. The second source is Yue from Card Captor Sakura. But Yue and Yukito are two different people, whereas the Key and Ken are not.
