NMBC Irregularities

The following are some slight errors and irregularities from The Nightmare Before Christmas that you might not have noticed. Take a look!

*At the very beginning of 'Jack's Obsession' the Vampires are obviously there, and vanish as the sun appears. We are led to believe that they are gone, away from the light. Then we hear them singing again! Are they gone or not? Can they stand the sun? Earlier on we actually see them in the sun under umbrellas complaining about the light just before Jack appears. *

*At the part where the little boy and girl received their gifts, you can just see that they are wearing Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck pajamas.*

*Jack knows at first that Sandy is not a weird creature; he makes it up to impress the Halloween people. But then when he finally meets Sandy, he's acting as if he never knew it at all. Is this an act? Or is he genuinely confused?*

*This is more of a pondering. Recall in Oogie's lair, when Oogie is raising the platform to dump Sally and Sandy Claws into the goo. We hear them scream, we see Boogie laughing...but have you ever wondered what's supposed to happen after that? Boogie looks puzzled, as if something was supposed to happen. It makes you think about what those guys at Skellington Productions had in mind when they were making the movie.*

*When Lock, Show and Barrel got Sandy the second time, it took far too long to get there and very little time to get back. To get the Easter Bunny it took them very little time at all. Then when they finally get Sandy and are taking him away after seeing Jack, LS&B are acting as if they never knew what they were going to do with him. During the song "Kidnap the Sandy Claws" they state their intent to bring him to Oogie Boogie various times.*

*This is clearly obvious, but at the scene where Jack is cutting out the 'snowflake', all that is really animated is Jack cutting a few aimless triangles into the paper; nothing that would create a spider like that. Just watch it in slow-motion and see.*

*Also quite obvious; you know the final scene where Sally is plucking the petals from the flower and tossing them over her shoulder? Where do they go? They just seem to....disappear.*

*In the opening shot, when the camera is circling down on the circle of holiday trees, it seems that they were working with numerous sets. At times the wrong doors appear where another one had previously been.*

*And have you ever wondered, How did Jack get from the Halloween Town sign to the straw horse which was pulled into town so quickly??? At the speed of which it was being pulled, logically there would never have been the time for it. This is Halloween Town, though--anything applies I guess!*

*This actually doesn't so much to do with Nightmare; but did you know that Jack makes an appearance in numerous other Tim films? Check it out; Edward Scissorhands, Beetlejuice, Sleepy Hollow, James and the Giant Peach.....go check all the films and find Jack's appearances yourself!*

*One last thing; many times the characters shown singing are different from those actually doing so; this is obvious upon listening quite closely.*
