Tori's primary role in CCS may be as Sakura's big brother, but without him in the show there would definitely be something missing. Tori is no ordinary guy. He's got the ability to see spirits and ghosts and sense magic, his sister is a cardcaptor and his best friend Julian is not even a real human! In the Japanese version of the show, Touya and Yukito (Julian) are romantically involved, but of course the politically corret Americans changed that for the American dub of the show. Tori harbours a strong dislike for Li Showron (Syaoran Li), as he is very protective of his sister, and Li is intruding on his turf. When he gives up his power to Yue, his one condition is that Yue takes care of Sakura since Tori won't be able to sense her danger any more. He definitely cares a lot for his friends and family.
