The Majin Buu Saga Episodes 217-221: The tournament is interrupted by two pale guys who steal Gohan's ki when he goes Super Saiyan. When they run off, most of the contestants, accompanied by Kaioshin and Kibito, follow them. They find the tip of a spaceship, and two creatures- the magician Babidi, and Dabura (King of the Demon World) make their appearance. It is revealed that they are gathering energy to reawaken Majin Buu. Episodes 222-227: The tournament continues with the few contestants left, which includes Android 18, Hercule, and Mighty Mask (Goten/Trunks). Goku, Gohan, Vegeta and Supreme Kai enter Babidi's ship, where they have meet a series of monsters, a different one on each level of the ship. On the third level, Gohan fights Dabura. Episodes 228-231: Vegeta is possessed by Babidi, and fights Goku, while Babidi gathers the energy of the two. Episodes 232-236: Majin Buu is awakened, and fights Dabura, Supreme Kai, and Gohan. Episodes 237-240: Vegeta, after defeating Goku, fights Majin Buu. He explodes himself as he sees it as the only way to defeat Buu. Videl, with most of the non-fighting characters, searches for the Dragonballs to resurrect those killed at the tournament by Majin Vegeta. Goten and Trunks are taken to Kami's Lookout to rest. Episodes 241-248: Babidi and Buu continue to terrorize the world by turning its inhabitants into food. Gohan is taken to Supreme Kai's planet, and starts training with the Zed Sword. After a short fight in Super Saiyan 3 mode, against Buu, Goku trains Goten and Trunks in the art of Fusion, but his time on earth is used up and he must return to the afterlife. Episodes 249-250: Goku makes his way to Supreme Kai's planet, where he finds Gohan training with the Z Sword. Gohan breaks the sword, and an old Kai appears. Gohan begins training with the old Kai. Episodes 251: Goten and Trunks fuse into Gotenks and attempts to fight Buu. Episodes 252-254: Hercule befriends Buu, but the antics of a couple of thugs anger Buu and cause all his evil energy to manifest into a new Buu, who eats the first one. Episodes 255-259: New Buu finds his way up to Kami's palace, as Gotenks trains inside the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. Buu is led to the room, where the fight continues. Episodes 260-262: Piccolo destroys the entrance to the room, but Buu, followed by Gotenks and Piccolo, manages to escape, and the fight continues on the outside. Episodes 263-265: Gohan appears after training with the old Kai, and fights Buu. Buu absorbs Gotenks and Piccolo. Episodes 266-267: Old Kai swaps his life with Goku, and Goku returns to the battle scene. He attempts to fuse with Gohan using the Potara earrings, but Gohan fails to catch his ear. Gohan is absorbed by Buu. Episodes 268-286: Vegeta appears, brought back to earth by Baba. Vegeta fuses with Goku into Vegetto. Buu eventually absorbs Vegetto, but with the use of a barrier, Goku and Vegeta block it. Buu is then fought by Vegeta and Goku, and is eventually beaten with a Spirit Bomb. Episodes 287: The battle is over, and things start going back to normal. Fat Buu has trouble adjusting to life on earth, and Videl has become Gohan's Great Saiyaman partner. Episodes 288: The Z team have a party, but no-one seems to have any idea where Goku is. Apparently he went out to protect some pteradactyle eggs, and thus shows up late. |
