Tournament Series Summary Now that the Dragonballs have been scattered across the earth, young Goku goes to train under Master Roshi to learn the secrets of the Martial Arts, and with Krillin begins training in preparation of the approaching World Martial Arts Tournament. Soon the Tournament arrives, and everybody, including Goku, Krillin, Yamcha, and maybe Master Roshi is ready to duke it out to win. Episodes Turtle Hermit TrainingEpisode 14: Goku's Rival Now that the Dragonballs are scattered throughout the earth, turned to stone until one years time, everyone splits up in search of new adventures. Bulma, Yamcha, Puar, and Oolong, head toward the city by airplane, until an accident forces them to walk on foot through a hot desert. Meanwhile, Goku flies to Master Roshi's island to learn Martial Arts, only to learn he's not the only one who wants lessons from the great Turtle Hermit. Entrée Krillin. Episode 15: Look out for Launch In order to get Master Roshi to teach them, Goku and Krillin go out on the Nimbus Cloud looking for a pretty girl to bring back. Soon they find Launch, a nice, unassuming, blue-haired girl who seems harmless enough, and return to Master Roshi's island. But watch out! Launch may seem harmless, but whenever she sneezes, she turns into a beautiful blonde, but a dangerous gun toting hit-man...er hit-woman! Episode 16: Find the Stone Launch agrees to stay at Master Roshi's, so Goku and Krillin's training under Master Roshi begins. Soon the boys are working hard, trying to stay alive, as their training includes dinosaurs, saber-tooth tigers, and the deadly sneezes of Launch! Episode 17: Milk Delivery Training continues early one morning, as Master Roshi awakens the boys early to deliver milk across the countryside. However, this is no easy task when it's done Turtle Hermit Style! Episode 18: The Turtle Hermit Way Goku and Krillin's first full day of Turtle Hermit training continues, as they face even more dangers, like hungry dinosaurs, angry bees, and avoiding Launch when she sneezes! And this is only day one of Turtle Hermit Training! The Tournament Episode 19: The Tournament Begins Goku and Krillin have completed the basic training, and are ready for Master Roshi to teach the secrets of Martial Arts. However, Master Roshi has other things in mind, and enters them in the World Martial Arts Tournament. But before the boys can actually compete in the tournament, they have to pass the Elimination Round... Episode 20: Elimination Round The elimination round begins with many a tough match, including Krillin facing the same bully who threw him out of the Orin Temple where Krillin trained long ago. Don't forget about Yamcha though, he's determined to make the cut, and faces the Wolf Man with his Wolf-Fang Fist! Finally, there's Goku, who's up against a giant easily ten times his size! The question is simple, will they win and make it to the Tournament, or will they die trying? Episode 21: Smells like Trouble The elimination round is over, and Yamcha, Krillin, and Goku have made it to the quarter-finals, and so draw lots to see who their opponents will be. First up, it's Krillin verse Bacterian, a smelly giant who hasn't seen water since the day he was born! Using his stench to stun his opponents is Bacterian's weapon, will Krillin be able to withstand the smell and win the match? Episode 22: Quarter Finals Continue Next up are two great matches, with the next match being Yamcha against the strange, but strong Jackie Chun. The following match pits the quiet, but determined Nam, against the pretty, and scheming Ranfan! It's an all out frenzy as these four do their best to make it to the semi-finals! Episode 23: Monster Beast Giran It's the last round of the quarter-finals, and it's Goku verse the monster Giran. This interesting match leads to Giran using his Merry-Go-Round Gum, and Goku getting a little help from his Flying Nimbus to stay in the competition. Then things really get interesting, when Goku's tail grows back, and the match quickly comes to a surprising close! Episode 24: Krillin's Frantic Attack We're onto the semi-finals and it starts off with Krillin verse Jackie Chun. It looks like Krillin might win with his secret weapon, but it's not over yet. Jackie Chun isn't beaten yet! Episode 25: Danger From Above The semi-finals continue with Goku verse Nam, in an aerial battle, both fighting to advance to the finals in hopes of becoming the World Champion. Nam is determined to win, and help his people, will Goku be able to win? Episode 26: The Grand Finals The Tournament is almost over, and the final round is Goku verse Jackie Chun. It's the age and wisdom of Jackie Chun verse young Goku's enthusiasm, and both fighters are a force to be reckoned with. Who will emerge as the Champion? Episode 27: Number One Under the Moon? The wild battle continues, Jackie Chun unleashes a surprise attack, and turns Goku's body into pure electricity! Goku is nearly beat, when his eyes rest on the rising full moon, he transforms into a giant ape! Now Goku is too powerful for even Jackie Chun to control, what's to keep him from destroying everything, including his friends? Episode 28: The Final Blow Jackie Chun releases a killer attack on the ape Goku, and it appears that he has killed him! Yet, somehow Goku survives, and after donning some clothes, the battle continues. However, both fighters are tired, and their energy is nearly all gone, thus they must abandon special techniques and battle it out in close combat. The tournament ends today, but who will be the victor? |
