Okay, I'll go ahead and begin with the some of the easiest things. Just for a quick recap, I'll place the chart showing the Basic Information here too. After that is when I'll get into all the lengthy stuff.

Not a lot there, really. Most of it can be filled out with a few number/letters. I'll provide links to places that can help you along the way as well.

I'll start with the name. While this does sound relatively easy, this can actually be very difficult. It's only easy if you just want to choose a pretty name. I've seen several of the Japanese episodes and done a lot of research about the Japanese version. The names of each senshi have very specific meanings relating to their powers, personality, or clever puns. Usagi's name translates as "Rabbit of the Moon", which is a pun on the Japanese legend that a rabbit lives on the moon and makes mochi (Japanese rice balls). For Sailor Eos, I chose the name Taiyouno Hitokage, which means "Soul of the Sun". Hitokage is her fist name, I just tend to write her name in the Japanese style which is family name first followed by their first name.

This leads up to the next thing, the meaning. As I said, I tend to create my characters to have meaningful names. Here is a very useful online translator. I tend to use this one quite often when I create their names. The other thing with names, perhaps one of the most useful participles is the Japanese term "no" which tranlates to "of". Each of the Inner Senshi have the term "no" in their last name. As I said, it's a very useful term.

Now for nicknames, this is up to you. I usually include the character's last name with -san attached to it here. That's because from the research I've done I have found that most students do not refer to each other by first name, but by their last name with -san attached to it. So most people would call Hitokage, Taiyouno-san. For her close friends and family they would refer to her by her first name. Her friends might even shorten it and add -chan to it. It's up to you to decide what you want your character to be called (mainly because when you make a friend, you let them know what you want to be called, right?)

Their planet is something that can be easy or hard. I use the term planet mainly because most senshi people create are planetary senshi. There are a good few star senshi too, but most of them tend to serve to protect one planet or another. I based Sailor Eos off the Greek goddess Eos, goddess of the dawn, so I naturally selected her planet to be the Sun. So in short, if you have a planet you want your senshi to be from then go ahead and list it here, but it doesn't have to be a planet. There's plenty of other things out there too, like stars, comets, etc.

Okay, this another easy part, their birthday. While if your senshi is from another planet, they may go by another calendar, I'd suggest that you give them a birthday that fits onto our calendars. I chose to give Hitokage's birthday as being July 29. July is the in the middle of summer (at least in the northern hemisphere, which is where Japan is), and that is when the northern hemisphere is closest to the sun.

Now it's time for their Zodiac. This is the biggest reason for keeping their birthday to our calendar. Here is a good site with lots of information on Zodiac signs. Since Hitokage's birthday is July 29 that makes her a Leo. Leo is also the only sign of the zodiac which has the Sun as it's ruling planet. That was another reason for her birthday being when it is.

Bloodtype is something that is very popular in the Japanese culture. For them it is about like Americans with the zodiac. Here is yet another site, this time with information on bloodtypes and their significance. It even lists the bloodtypes of the senshi. I gave Hitokage the bloodtype AB. That means that she seems to have two personalities, one for most people, and one for those she is close to. I'll get into how she acts later, in the personality section.

We're onto hair now. Personally, I tend to list the color and length of the hair. That's because I get more detailed with it in the appearance section. If you wish to get detailed here, be my guest. It's up to you on where you put the description. Hitokage has mid-back length, honey brown hair.

With the eyes, it's quite easy too. All colors of the rainbow are open, especially since this is the anime world we're dealing with. If you want to give them two different colored eyes, then so be it. For Hitokage, I gave her violet eyes. No reason really, except that I didn't want her to have blonde hair/blue or yellow eyes. Plus it helps with her origin, which I'll get into later.

Okay, height is another easy thing. However, before you just slap some numbers up remember this: the taller your character the more intimidating they can be. Looking at Sailor Moon, Usagi is 4'11". Since she is so short, she is usually looked down upon by others, literally. Most people don't respect those who are shorter than them. Now look at Sailor Uranus, who is 5'8". She is easily able to intimidate most of the villians/other senshi. In fact Sailor Moon is one of the only people to actually step up to her and demand her to back down. I would also suggest that you find a conversion table and write the height into metric as well. It's useful for when you are in an RPG with others who are not used to the feet and inches method. I wanted Hitokage to be intimidating, so I ended up making her 5'9" or 175.26 cm. However, heights can be deceiving. Usagi is still a force to be reckoned with, and Hitokage is actually quite shy.

Weight is the final part of the basics. While this doesn't seem like much, when you pair it up with the height factor then it is infinitely important. You don't want a character who is 4'11" and 150 lbs. While that does actually happen, it will make your character be on the larger side. The senshi are generally very active and almost athletic, so them being overweight is something that doesn't generally happen. On the other hand, you don't want a character who is 5'8" and only weighs 92 lbs. That would most likely mean an eating disorder. However, that might work to your advantage, because they might have to overcome their disorder. Once again, I suggest you convert their weight into a metric system as well. For Hitokage I chose for her to be 126 lbs, or 56.7 kg. That does put her on the skinny side, but that is part of what I wanted. I'll post what Hitokage's basic information looks like below.
