Name Meaning: Hermes - Greek god, the messengers of the gods. Shimo - Frost. It's a play on things associated with Sailor Mercury and the planet. Hermes is the Greek equivilent of the Roman god that the planet was named for. Frost is a reference to Sailor Mercury's powers of ice.

Personality: Hermes has a generally warm personality. However, certain people immediately set him on edge. He has only met two people to ever make him immediately dislike them, just by looking at them. It is friends of his parents, Chuugi and Akari Gogyoutake. Though he doesn't know it, he will find one more to make him immediately dislike them, Ami Mizuno. In his past life he was the twin of Ami and was kidnapped at birth. He was raised by his mother's cousin and told that his family hated him, and wished him dead. After being told these lies for so long, they became the truth for him. Even now, after one thousand years and a new life, he still feels hatred towards them. He doesn't like the fact that he can hate someone just from looking at them. He tries to avoid his parents friends so that he doesn't have to deal with his hatred. Usually his career keeps him busy.

Appearance: Hermes is normally dressed in very fashionable clothes. He tends to wear a white shirt with a pair of light blue jeans and a light blue, button shirt that is buttoned half way up. He'll often alternate between a light red and light blue shirt. His hair is usually pulled back by a red band. In any case he has the look of an idol, which he is.

Guardian: A terran wolf named Maia. Maia has the symbol of the moon on her head. Her coat is a very light grey, almost white. She stands at four and a half feet when she is on all fours, and at nearly seven feet when on her hind legs only. She is very protective of Hermes and only lets a select few near him, usually anyone that she is sure will not hurt him. Maia has come to being as close to a mother as Hermes has ever known. She has gotten the feeling that Koori isn't being truthful on a number of times, but still lets Hermes see her. She doesn't care much for Hermes parents, but that is for the fact that they seem to have given up hope of finding him.

Maia found Hermes in a cavern shortly after his abduction. She quickly took the child to the nearest senshi she could find, that being Sailor Quicksilver. Since that time the two have grown very close, nothing could seperate them. She often looks at Hermes as being her pup instead of her ward.

That was in his past life. In this life, Maia was found in the pound as a pup. Hermes adopted her and has cared for her since. The wolf uses minor magic to keep herself disguised a large wolf, but not as big as her normal form. She also hides her crescent. She still refers to him as her pup, even if Hermes hates it.

Attacks: Swirling Snowflakes - He crosses his arms over his chest as he says this. Snow begins to swirl around him until he releases his arms. The snow then swirls outward, making visibility very minimal. People can still see, but only for about a foot in front of them, and that is stretching it. It even affects him.

Icey Wave - A spout of water appears in front of him. He thrusts his hands forward and pushes the wave toward his target. It freezes the target if it hits.

Background: Hermes has a trouble past, but not in this lifetime. His troubles stem from his previous life. In that life he was kidnapped just after he was born. The plan was conceived by his mother's cousin, but he was never aware of it. He was taught at an early age that his parents favored his sister and that they did not want him. Over time this made him hate his parents and sister. It also gave him reason to try and take the throne from his sister. Fortunately before he could do anything Beryl attacked the Moon. He was sent with his sister and parents to the future, but was born to a different family.

In this life he has become a teen idol. He is a professional model and an actor. He grew up in Los Angeles, CA. He moved to Japan when he was fifteen because he wanted to get away from all the teenage girls who would stalk him. He still has a good few who chase after him, but life has been more peaceful for him.

He found and adopted his guardian, Maia, when he was four. Of course he didn't know that she was his guardian at the time. His parents named Maia after the nymph who gave birth to the Greek god Hermes because of the way Maia has always tried to protect Hermes, as if she were his mother and he her pup. The only time Maia is away from Hermes is when he is in school or on stage, and even then she is backstage.

Hermes found out about his unique past, at least the part of him being a knight, when a youma drained the audience at one show. Maia recognized the problem and awoke his powers. Since then he hasn't had much action. Anytime there has been something, he has had a hard time responding due to the following of girls.

He spends a good bit of time online under a different alias. There he doesn't have to worry about stalker fans. He is able to be himself and not worry about anyone finding him. Those are some of the most precious moments to him.

He struggles everytime he meets a new person, he is afraid they will try to use him for his money and fame, rather then be his friend. Because of this he tries to stay distant. He has met two people so far, from his past, who he has hated without reason, well at least a reason in this life. He didn't know it, but he met his former parents, and somewhere his soul remembered and revived the hatred of them he harbored before. That was another reason he moved away from L.A.

Now he has enrolled in Juuban High School, and hopes to have a somewhat peaceful high school career. Though he hasn't met her, he knows he has one rival, Mizuno Ami.

Goals: To be the top student in Juuban high. To make a permanent name for himself in the movie and modelling worlds.

Destiny/Future Life: To rule over Mercury while Sailor Mercury protects the royal family of Earth and the Moon
