Story:
Slam Dunk is an inspiring story about how a once mediocre high school basketball team fights their way to become one of the best in the nation. It all started when a teenager, Sakuragi who was rejected from girls for 50 times, fell in love with the sister of the school's basketball team captain, Akagi. Later, he met rivals which later became his teammates. Boasting himself as a Tensai(genius), Sakuragi proves himself by making himself a basketball "pro" within three months. Interesting, funny yet sad, Slam Dunk is a masterpiece of Takehiko Inuoe . It really inspires people to play basketball.
Slam Dunk first appeared to the public as a comic, in 1990. Later due to the popularity of it, it is later made into anime in late 1993. Altogether, the anime consists of 101 exciting episodes. In the anime, Mr. Inuoe even draw himself as Dr. T which occur occasionally in the show to explain the rules of the game, to make the show more interesting and easier for non-basketball player to understand.
