The Imperial Moon Senate was called in for an emergency meeting which was called by the general. Knowing it would have something to do with the war, Queen Serenity didn't want to go, but knew that she had to. She tried her best to make herself sick so that she would be unable to attend, but the general insisted that everyone in the Senate be present. When they were called to order, Queen Serenity said, "General Tinugio, you have permission to speak." He put his head down before standing up and walking to the center of the floor on the speaking platform.

"I come bearing tragic news from the battle field in Sasarion." Queen Serenity could feel a cold chill go up her spine. General Tinugio continued. "A week prier to today, our military base was discovered somehow by Nemesis. We're not exactly sure what happened, but we believe that it was a suicide mission by a Nemesis spy impersonating a soldier." He paused and Queen Serenity said, "What was the damage?" "We lost many men, the count in total was 1053 soldiers your highness." Queen Serenity turned her head, trying to hold back her tears.

"What of the King? Where is my husband?" She had a desperate tone in her voice. "The King is safe in another military base that he was transferred to two days before this incident." Queen Serenity gave a sigh of relief. "However, we do have one civilian death." Queen Serenity looked at the general with fear in her eyes and her heart. He continued. "A woman was attacked just outside of Sasarion about three hours before the initial attack. She was barely alive when we found her. It appeared as if she'd been struck with a large amount of Nemesis energy. She was able to speak for a moment before she died. She told me to take her saddle bag and deliver it immediately to the King." Queen Serenity's eyes grew large. She stood up, staring at the general.

"General," she said with a shaky voice. "Who was it that you found?" "We found identification in her bag, the name on it was Angelina Confretyiku." To Queen Serenity, the room suddenly began to spin. The first to die in this war was Angelina, and she died at the queen's hands. She sat down suddenly, knowing that she would have to hold on to her tears until after the meeting. She then said, "Continue with business General Tinugio."

"We found a hidden compartment in the saddle bag the woman was carrying. It seems there was a letter in it, from you to the King. You sent her to give the letter to him I presume?" The Queen allowed a tear to fall as she nodded her head. "Your highness, it couldn't have been prevented. Do not be upset. Now, the letter was delivered to the King, I delivered it myself, and he ordered me to bring you this response. I ask permission to approach the throne." "Permission granted." replied Queen Serenity. General Tinugio walked up to the throne and handed Queen Serenity a letter from King Eternity.

"Is there any more business to discuss General Tinugio?" "No more from me at this time your highness." "I motion to end the meeting." said Senator Toneil with a look of impatience. "Not just yet." said Queen Serenity. "I have something to discuss." "Well, I repeal my motion then, please continue your highness." Senator Toneil said sarcastically.

"I am going to bear a child by the end of the spring." There was a small amount of chatter, and then the Senators began to cheer except Senator Toneil. He instead stopped their cheering and said, "A child? That's going to mean a great deal of work for the Senate. The King must betroth it, and he can't, so now what?" Queen Serenity continued. "With my husband at war, it is our responsibility to betroth this child. I went to the doctor yesterday, and the child is a girl. So, we must find a husband for her immediately. I've scheduled a meeting with King Endymion of Earth. He has two sons, a four year old and a three year old. The older one is named James and the younger one is named Endymion, Jr." There was slight laughter throughout the room. "We will meet again with King Endymion on the 4th of August at five o'clock p.m. I motion that we stand adjourned until that date." "I second that motion." said a Senator. The Queen then said, "All in favor?" A large amount of I's sounded throughout the room. "All opposed?" Not a sound was made. "The Senate stands adjourned." said Queen Serenity.

After the meeting, Serenity read the letter she was given.

Dearest Serenity,
A baby? My
prayers have been answered. I cannot wait to come home
and to see my God-sent child! I also have
good news my love. I will be coming home within the
next few weeks. Nemesis has agreed on a
surrender, and we will be signing a peace treaty.
Personally, I think it's very suspicious
for them to just give up, but you can't
question reality! I cannot wait to see you.
They tell me that the child will be a
princess, if she is as radiant as her mother is,
than we will have a beautiful daughter indeed.
I believe it would be best to have you
decide on who she will wed, I leave it completely in
your capable hands. I must go, but I will write
again soon. God bless you my love, and our
little joy!

Love Always,
Eternity

The words made Queen Serenity's heart jump for joy! She couldn't believe what she was reading. 'I can't wait for him to come home!' she thought. 'My heart aches for him every day!'

A week had gone by very uneventfully, until that day, when the news reached General Tinugio's ears. He put his head down and mumbled curses at God. He was ordered to tell the queen. He had a sad ride to the palace. When he had reached his destination, he requested an immediate audience with Queen Serenity. She met him in the office near her bedroom. "What's wrong?" she asked. "I know that look, what has happened?" The general looked at the ground.

"We've lost a great deal of men your highness." Queen Serenity was once again forced to hold back the stinging tears, and said, "How many did we lose?" "600 men, 300 nurses, 7 children." A tear fell from Queen Serenity's eyes. "Children? How barbaric! How did this happen?"

"It was definitely a Nemesis attack, they tricked us into believing they were going to sign a peace treaty to knock us off guard, and they did. We found a grave while we were traveling, it had a stone which said upon it, 'Here lie the damned of the Imperial Moon Army' We immediately dug it up, but there were no coffins of any kind. It was a mass grave, with all of the people thrown into it like animals!" General Tinugio let a tear fall. "Queen Serenity, among them, was King Eternity."

She fell back in her chair and screamed. General Tinugio cried with her and let her scream and curse, he thought it was best to let her let it out. When she calmed down slightly, she said, "He was supposed to be coming home this week, how could this have happened?" Just then, Luna ran into the room breathless. "Queen Serenity," she said panting. "What's wrong?" "Come to me Luna." said Queen Serenity. "What's wrong darling Serenity, what's happened?" asked Luna.

Queen Serenity embraced Luna, trying to regain strength. "The Moon just fell from the sky Luna. The world has ended!"
