| War, why did God create it? God created man, man created war. But God could prevent it if He wanted to, He can do anything! He put us here with our own free will, He can't control us completely. This argument raced through Queen Serenity's mind as she watched her husband gallop across the bridge heading for what would be known as the Great Galaxy War. "Queen Serenity," said Luna. (who was still in her youth) "Now that King Eternity has entered the war, it's time for you to take over. While he's gone, you'll have to rule on your own." A single tear fell down the queen's cheek. "Luna," she said. "I let him leave, without telling him. I just couldn't." Queen Serenity took her head in her hands and wept endlessly. "Your highness," said Luna. "What didn't you tell him?" Queen Serenity looked up and let her hands fall to her sides. "I didn't tell him that we have an heir to the thrown after all." With that, she took hold of her belly. A tear of sorrow fell from Luna's eyes, which shocked them both. Later that night, while Queen Serenity was dressing, Luna hopped up on to the table. "You could write the King a letter you know." she said. "He'd want to know about this. I'm sure he wouldn't want to come home to you with a baby in your arms, he might be cross with you." Queen Serenity nodded blankly. "Luna?" she asked. "Do you think he's all right?" "Of course," Luna replied. "King Eternity is a fighter, he wouldn't let war conquer him so easily." With those words, Queen Serenity let Luna out of her room and laid down on her king sized bed in the darkness. 'It's terrible sleeping alone.' she thought. The young queen couldn't sleep. She walked over to the desk in the corner and began writing her husband a letter.
My Dearest Eternity,
Love Always, The next morning, Queen Serenity's maid Angelina prepared her for a meeting with the Imperial Moon Senate. When Angelina was about to leave, Queen Serenity stopped her. "Angelina," she said. "I have a mission for you." "Of course your highness," she replied. "What is it that I must do?" "Go to the battle field in Sasarion and deliver this letter to the King." Angelina gave the queen a frightened look, and she was unsure. She knew that saying no to Queen Serenity could mean a great punishment. "Why must I do this your highness? Why not have a messenger deliver it for you?" Queen Serenity stepped forward and put her hands on Angelina's shoulders. "This letter is very important." said Serenity. "I don't trust the messenger. In times like these, anybody could be a spy for Nemesis. And if the messenger is a spy or he is robbed by one, it could be my death and the death of a child. You're the only one that I trust, and the only one I'll allow to handle this letter." Angelina put her head down and bowed respectfully. "I will do your will your highness. I will not let you down." "Get this letter to the King, no matter what happens, do you understand?" Angelina nodded her head. That evening, Angelina left for the long journey to the battle field in Sasarion. Though a scared woman on her own, she knew that no matter what happened, that letter had to reach the hands of King Eternity. One night, four days after her departure, she stopped to sleep under a willow tree. The earth was glowing bright that night, and Angelina loved looking at it. Curiosity was starting to kill her inside, how much longer could she have that letter in her possession without reading it? 'No!' she thought. 'It might be a private message, I couldn't intrude on that.' Angelina tucked the letter back in the hidden capartment of her saddle bag and went to sleep. The next morning, Angelina continued on her journey. By mid afternoon, she was only a few minutes from Sasarion. "Thank God!" she exclaimed. "My journey is almost ended." A flash of light, a fire, and then darkness.
