Nekocon Pics

Greetings, all!  Below you'll find all the cosplay photos I was able to get at the con.
I was very happy to see some rare and really good cosplaying,
and I was even happier to see that all my photos turned out good enough to post!
You'll have to wait a little while for the report, though.  Until then, Enjoy!

I've chosen the Soil--er, photo--for the likes of you!  Final Fantasy Unlimited's "Black Wind" strikes a pose with his Demon Gun.

Papara funi funi papara hoe hoe papara funi funi-(slap) ...Sorry 'bout that, but I couldn't help it.  A very cool Dragon Half trio (Dug Fin, Veena, and Mink) pose for the camera.

Hold onnnn to the dreeeam...and your ass:  Here comes Magic Knight Rayearth's Fuu, insanely large weapon at the ready.

"Eva launch!...when I'm done bein' an
uber-pimp, that is..."  Nekocon staffer Gendo Ikari macks out at the info table.

(gasp) It's PEOPLE!!! Gundams are made of PEOPLE!!!  Hahaha, props to this very cool armorsuit ensemble.  Probably kept his helmet off 'cuz it was hot as balls in that lobby.

Gimme some sugar, baby:  A guy and girl gundam pair show that yes, robots can get horny too.  (P.S. These costumes were awesome!  They had flashing lights and everything!)

(sigh) Oh, you're my "Hiro"...The protagonist
of Lunar: Eternal Blue, complete with Ruby plushie, says wassup to the camera.

An age-appropriate Kaolla Su, from Love Hina.  What's the word I'm looking for?...Ah, yes, that's it:  KAWAII!!!!

Oldie but a goodie!  The classic Nintendo hero, Link, poses with his Master Sword drawn.  (Side note: I actually saw a Link with a remote-controlled Bombchu somewhere at the con.  ^_^)

Kupo!  Kup-kupopo po!  ^_^()  Hehe, sorry.  Ah well, give it up for this awesome moogle cosplayer!

I just started watching Sorcerous Stabber Orphen, so I was thrilled to see the main character well-represented at Nekocon!  Props to ya, man!

Oh-oh, it's maaagic...ya knooow:  Magic User's Club's Sae and Takakura, makin' magic for the camera.  (Keep yer mind outta the gutter, Takakura!)

An unusual photo op, but still a good one!  Yamabushi cosplaying as Sanosuke (left), chillin' with Hellsing's Alucard (right). (Note: see Hellsing.  It rocks!)

Wanna "Seymour" cosplayers? (snickers at bad pun).  Here's my brother Umaro's girlfriend Deanne as the character from FF X.

Rejoice, for it is Super Ultra Sentai Man!!!...
Well, no, I dunno who that is either...but recyclables never looked so good!

Time for some Tactics...Final Fantasy Tactics, that is.  The mediator, mime, and archer job classes make a very cool cosplay trio.

Would you be my "Valentine"?  (god, I'm making so many bad jokes today)  Final Fantasy 7's Vincent takes a breather from his convention-going, gun drawn.

So it began with Final Fantasy Unlimited, so it shall end with Final Fantasy Unlimited.  "White Cloud" says cheese for Yamabushi.

Now that you've seen the cosplayers, it's time for....(drum roll)....Yamabushi's Omake Theatre!!!  (Waits for applause...none comes)  So anyway, these were basically my attempt to use up the rest of the film on my camera.  Most of the pics were of souvenirs I got at the con.  Enjoy!

Ah, dorm sweet dorm...Uh, just ignore the big mess
over on my side of the room...

I loved the series Azumanga Daioh, which I got a sneak-peak of at the con.  Thus, I promptly went to the Dealer's Room afterwards and got myself a plushie of my favorite character, Sakaki!

My only DVD purchase at the con: A combination of the Tenchi Muyo Mihoshi Special and the Pretty Sammy OAV--some fun viewing, if I do say so myself.

Chobits was majorly represented at the con.  I picked up this Chobits manga for my otaku buddy, Evan, since he's never seen it.  I have a feeling he'll like it--It's a damn fine series.

An essential survival tool for a con: the ever-fun schedule!

^_^  I was sooo happy to find this: A keychain of my favorite Chobits character, Sumomo!

We don't need no stinkin' badges...Oh wait, maybe we do...  Yamabushi's con badge count is now up to 2!  I'm so looking forward to obtaining my third at Katsucon this February!

(Seemingly composed)  A very well-designed Rei Ayanami wallscroll...
(Suddenly clutches wallscroll greedily, breathing heavily, eyes shining with madness)
No!  You can't have it!  It's mine...My own...My precious...
