Let it be.

(blah)=thoughts

//Well the answer is always the same//

//Would you please just let it be?//

//Cos I've been there and I'll I can say//

//Take the days away from me, with the memory of yesterdays ways//

//She spins away from, so I can't go on//

Goku had always been considered a naive man. His wife and his relationship was looked upon as a rather dull matter, with no passion or spark in it. Of course, he respected his wife and cared for her, but did he love her? Desire her? Want her?

Probably not. Son Goku was a modest, naive man.

//As cold as the void of the night//

//The dark surrounding me, belies me that every time//

//As long as I could be, and I drift with the thought of her eyes//

//She's all that I can see, but I will go on...//

Goku and his wife shared a relationship unlike all the others. Vegeta and Bulma's was all heat and arguments, Krillin and Juuhachigou were all laid back and relaxed, Gohan and Videl quite forced and tedious. Goku needed his wife in a way none of the Z warriors needed their own. Chichi was Goku's heart and home was wherever Chichi was.

Goku couldn't remember a time without Chichi in his life. He didn't want to either. Her humble appearance pleased Goku in great measures, with all her long black tresses and deep onyx eyes. Her petite form that begged to be protected and her modest curves that longed to be loved.

And he did.

//Every long night, every whisper, every song that never saw it coming//

//She says it oh, so right... it's oh so right//

//Every cold night, every shiver, every time I didn't feel it coming//

//And she says it oh, so right//

They made love only at night, only in their own bed, between their own soft hand washed sheets. When Goku felt playful, Chichi would giggle and squirm for him. When he felt sad or down, Chichi would account for all the details. Even when the full moon outside glowed down on their bed and Goku would be filled with his ancestral burn of longing she would lay passive for him, wantonly spreading her arms and growling his Saiya-jin name passionately.

He would hold her in his arms until morning and smile at her while she served him his breakfast. He allowed himself to be taken shopping, watching her hair fall out of place from the wind that blowed as they rode in their red convertable. Sit for hours while she tried on dresses, eventually being asked which dress looked better. He would compliment both and that would end up with Chichi wrapping her arms around his neck and pulling him into the changing booth, her mouth on his as he pulled the curtain closed.

//As heartless and cruel as can be//

//She moves away from me, still I need her because every time//

//With all that I can be, she calls in the beat of the night//

//She takes all I've got from me, so I can't go on//

They would fight.

Kami knows they yelled and screamed at eachother. Goku's constant absense made Chichi's temper erupt into a rage that so far, only Goku could handle.

Contrary to popular belief, Goku was not afraid of his wife. He was only shocked by the way she would let her anger get the better of her. Let her rage twist her beautiful self into something hateful and ugly. This stone-faced, hard hearted woman that had no place in his heart. The horrible person that took over his beautiful wife every time he left her alone. She would scream and throw various objects and say things that dirtied her pretty lips and smeared her stunning personality.

And he would leave.

And she would cry.

//Every long night, every whisper, every song that never saw it coming//

//Don't you know, baby, it's not alright, no it's not alright no no no no//

//Every cold night, every shiver, every silent scream and she never listens//

//And I say it's not alright no it's not alright//

He hated to see her cry.

Her face contorted and she would ball up, seeming fragile and small. And it had been his fault so many times... how did he manage to hurt such a beautiful creature. The woman who had carried his sons under her heart, who had held him in her bed letting him know every plane and region of her body. She would cry for what she could never have and what he failed to ever give her...

//She rides with the Gods of the Night, she moves the tides of me//

//She crushes the waves with her sight and oh lord, becomes a part of me//

//But she cuts just as sharp as knife, I said, how could you walk away from me?//

//How can you just step away from me? Oh no no no no//

Then the silence would come, and Goku knew she had forgiven him. She would pull him down to the kitchen floor and hold him, let him hold her and hold eachother. He clung to every soft curve of her body, kissing her sweetly and breathing, savoring the sweet smell of her hair. She would forgive him anything in second, and he could never blame her for anything.

//Every cold night, every whisper, every silent scream and she nevers listens//

//Cos she says it alright... it's not alright no no!//

//Every last night, every shiver, every dirty game well it just isn't right no, it just isn't right//

//She wakes up the dawn of the day, and takes my heart from me//

//I believe she has nothing to say, with all I believe, she's the heat and the fire of the day//

Suddenly, he saw her face in all it's ages, smiling. Saw her smile and felt her love, knowing that she would always be with him no matter who tried to come between them.

He loved her, desired her and wanted her.

And she could only feel the same for him.

//She spins away from me, so I can't go on.//

//I can go on//
