Pittsburgh Comicon: A brand new book from Butcher's Dog Press, JULY 2003 The Comicon went over as expected. Spent more than I made, but had a great time and hope to be back next year. A new page of pin-ups has been added to the Adult Gallery. I'd like to thank Sugano Akitaro for allowing me to color his artwork. Look for it on page one of the Adult Gallery! MARCH 2003 I will be attending I-Con 22 (www.iconsf.org) at Stony Brook University, Stony Brook, NY on March 28-30, 2003. Girls of Anime Volume 5 will be available for sale at Brian Yelverton's table. Cover price is $4.00 and is for adults only. It's been a few years since my last portfolio but I truly feel this is the best one yet. I will have a table along with T. Richard Litz at the Pittsburgh Comicon 10th anniversary (www.pittsburghcomicon.com) this April 25-27, 2003. New this year is Cami and the Toad #4. Written by T. Richard Litz (Fidget) and penciled by Ronson Butler (Antlusian Chronicles) with inking by myself. Cami and the Toad #4 features the conclusion to the mini series with an exciting, decisive battle with Rosie. Don't miss it! A bargain, package deal for all four issues will also be available. And don't forget the Fidget packs! Currently I am inking Ronson Butler's Antlusian Dreams with issues #3 & 4 being the latest as of March 2003. With any luck, I'll be making some additions to the color and adult galleries soon. Please let me know what you think by signing the guest book located on the bottom of the home page. I want to thank T. Richard L. and Ronson B. for making Cami and the Toad possible. Thanks to Mike H. and Rich for Fidget #15. I also want to thank Lisa D. for my website. Arigato! __________________________________

ABOUT ME My name is Dan Kellaway and I am a graphic artist living in a small town in Western Pennsylvania. I have been self-publishing since 1990. My first mini comic, THE ATOMIC WATERMELON was followed closely by FIDGET in 1992. I have been drawing much, much longer, having had the desire to be a cartoonist since as long as I can remember. I'm a fan of comic books and animation. My early influences are: Carl Barks, Michael Golden, John Byrne, John Buscema, Sergio Aragones, Don Martin, John Severin, Bill Ward, CRACKED and MAD magazines. There are so many that I really can't list them all. I discovered anime with STARBLAZERS and have been hooked since. Favorite creators include: Rumiko Takahashi, Kenichi Sonoda, Go Nagai, Masamune Shirow, Naoko Takeuchi. My favorite series is THE DIRTY PAIR. Favorite movies are MY NEIGHBOR TOTORO and LAPUTA. My GIRLS OF ANIME Vol. 1 portfolio was printed in 1991. I've belonged to several Amateur Press Associations and founded the ENDLESS ROAD APA. I also created the Sailor Moon fanzine USAGI. Currently I am publishing CAMI AND THE TOAD for Butcher's Dog Press and working with other small pressers from time to time. |
