HIS DEAL: A former Buddhist monk, Krillin is Goku's best friend and training partner.

When he was only 11 years old, Krillin left the Buddhist temple he trained at and went to Master Roshi's island, where he and Goku became his pupils in the way of the Turtle Hermit.

After completing part of their training, the two entered the World Martial Arts Tournament. Although he made it to the semi-finals, Krillin was defeated by Jackie Chun(really Master Roshi in disguise), who also defeated Goku. Afterwards, Krillin returned to Master Roshi's island while Goku went in search of his grandfather Gohan's 4-star Dragonball.

Later in the series, Krillin was killed by the evil King Piccolo (the father of the current Piccolo)in order to spite Goku, who had defeated King Piccolo in battle. After Goku killed King Piccolo by ramming head first through his stomach, Krillin was resurrected using the Dragon Balls.

At the beginning of DBZ, Krillin trained alongside of Tien, Yamcha, Chaotzu, and Yajirobi in an attempt to defeat the Saiya-Jins. While they were too weak to defeat them alone, Goku's help eventually led to Krillin learning how to throw a spirit bomb, which was used to defeat Vegeta.

After the deaths of Yamcha, Chaotzu, Tien, and Piccolo, Krillin set out with Gohan and Bulma to the planet Namek where they searched for the Namekian Dragonballs. While in battle with Frieza, Krillin was killed, which led to Goku transforming to a Super Saiya-Jin. He was later resurrected by the Namekian Dragonballs.

During the Android Saga, Krillin was the last fighter standing in there first battle with the Androids, and wound up falling in love with Android 18. Despite his fear of death, however, he aided Piccolo, Tien, and Yamcha in distracting Cell so that Gohan could destroy the maniacal android.

It was during the seven years in which his friend Goku was dead that he married Android 18 and the two had a child together, Marron.

In battle with Dabura during the Majin Buu Saga, Krillin was turned to stone, but was restored after the defeat of Dabura by Majin Buu, and narrowly escaped the suicidal blast Vegeta used in an attempt to defeat Buu. In the end, however, while trying to protect everyone on Kame's Lookout, Krillin's heroic efforts were rewarded with chocolate. Unfortunatly, Krillin was the one turned into chocolate, and he became the first one to die at the hands of the new Buu.

SPECIAL TECHNIQUES:

DESTRUCTO DISC--This blade of pure energy can cut anything. The only person to ever catch one of these was Gohan during the Cell Games.

BATTLES:

THE SAIYA-JIN SAGA

• VS. NAPPA--While Krillin did help to fight Nappa, there wasn't much he could do.
• VS. VEGETA--Attempted to cut off a transformed Vegeta's tail with a Destructo Disc, but Vegeta dodged it.

THE FRIEZA SAGA

• VS. GOHAN--While flying to Namek, Krillin and Gohan trained briefly through some odd telepathic connection.
• VS. GINYU SQUAD--Got smacked up a lot.
• VS. FRIEZA--Not really a fight. Frieza stabbed Krillin and left him to die. Later on, while fighting Goku, she caused Krillin to explode, which led to Goku's first transformation to Super Saiya-Jin.

THE ANDROID SAGA

• VS. PERFECT CELL(POST ANDROID 18 ABSORBTION)--Attacked out of anger because of his emotions for 18. Was nearly killed when Cell hit him with one hard chop.
• VS. PERFECT CELL(AFTER ANDROID 18'S RETURN)--Aided in distracting Cell while Gohan tried to kill him with a Kamehamea Wave.

THE MAJIN BUU SAGA

• VS. PINTER--The fat guy wouldn't shut up during there bout, so Krillin kicked him in the face and won by KO
• VS. DABURA--Not really a battle. Dabura turned him to stone before he could attack.
• VS. BUU--Realizing his wife and daughter where in danger, Krillin valiently attacked Buu as a distraction while the others escaped. Unfortunatly, this didn't work too well, and Krillin was turned into chocolate then consumed by Buu.
