RACE: Earthling/Saiya-Jin Hybrid

HIS DEAL: The son of Goku and Chi-Chi, Gohan is a young child who has potential to be the strongest fighter ever.

Born on Earth, Gohan has Saiya-Jin and Human blood within him, which caused him to be born with an enormous power level. Though he began with a low power level, a little training raised his level to over 1000 by the beginning of DBZ! However, he could only use this power in moments of anger at first due to his lack of control, and would forget about anything that occurred during these moments once he calmed down.

Realizing how strong Gohan was, Piccolo took Gohan and trained him in the year before the Saiya-Jins arrived. His training began when Piccolo left him alone in the woods for a deadly survival course. After this training session, Piccolo taught him how to manipulate energy. Unfortunatly, Gohan's fears got the best of him.

Once on Namek, Gohan proved not only that he was no longer afraid, but that his fighting skill was incredible, by decisively taking down Ginyu Force member Rakoom, although it was little more than a bee sting to the powerful fighter.

After a day in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber with Goku, however, 10 year old Gohan quickly improved and reached Super Saiya-Jin status, becoming the youngest Super Saiya-Jin (at the time, at least)! Quite a feat…

However, Goku had Gohan fight Cell for other reasons. Goku realized the hidden power Gohan had, which would lash out whenever he was in a situation that looked fatal for either himself or his friends. Unfortunately Cell decided that he wanted to fight Gohan so he could see this power. Eventually, Gohan let his anger out and controlled the incredible power that makes him stronger than Goku! He also defeated Cell and is now the strongest fighter in the universe, taking on the title previously held by his father.

Finally settling down, Gohan has at last been able to study as his mother wanted him to and even goes to High School, where he met Videl, the daughter of Hercule. Deciding he needed a way to keep his identity a secret and still help people, he had Bulma create a retractable costume and took on the name Great Saiyaman. Fortunatly, his career ended temporarily when Goku returned for the World Martial Arts Tournament.

However, during the Tournament, Gohan was stabbed and drained of all energy. After being restored by Kivito, he flew off to help the others in defeating Bibbidi and Majin Buu. During this period, Gohan failed to stop the resurrection of Majin Buu, and was defeated in battle with the ugly pink blob. Though the Supreme Kai told him to keep on living, Vegeta claims to have sensed he was dead.

Gohan, it turns out, was hanging onto life by a thread. With Kibito restored, as well as the Supreme Kai, it was possible for him to get to the World of the Kais, where he and Goku accidentally shattered the Z Sword, releasing the Old Kai, who offered Gohan a new power up. Gohan accepted and, after a 30+ hour ceremony, went to face Buu. He was accidentally absorbed by Buu when Goku returned, and was apparently killed when Earth was destroyed.

CURRENT WHEREABOUTS: Yep, he's probably dead this time. Gohan's sitting around in Other World, waiting to return to Earth, but is it possible for Goku and Vegeta to defeat Buu, allowing the others to return?

TRANSFORMATIONS:

• SUPER SAIYA-JIN--Achieved during the Android Saga. First seen in Hyperbolic Time Chamber while training with his father, Goku; transformation triggered naturally through conditioning of his emotions.
• SUPER SAIYA-JIN 2--Achieved during the Android Saga. First seen during battle with Perfect Cell; transformation triggered by a combination of Gohan's hidden powers and rage towards Cell.
• MYSTIC--Achieved during the Majin Buu Saga. First seen on the world of the Kai's; granted by the special power up ceremony perforemed by the Old Kai.

SPECIAL TECHNIQUES:

• MASENKO--just another variation of the Kameamea Wave.

BATTLES:

THE SAIYA-JIN SAGA

• VS. RADDITZ--1…simple…headbutt. But we did learn his power level was above average. This was also the first time his hidden power was shown in a DragonBall series.
• VS. NAPPA--Began with a kick, but Nappa fired a blast that would have killed him had Piccolo not intervened. He then used his full power level of 8000 to attack Nappa.

THE FRIEZA SAGA

• VS. GULDO--Gohan and Krillin faced off against Guldo, and were nearly killed until Vegeta interfered.
• VS. RECOOME--When the Ginyu Force first attacked, Recoome had his eyes on Gohan after defeating Krillin and Vegeta. Gohan was beaten within an inch of his life, but was saved when Goku arrived and gave him a Senzu bean.
• VS. FRIEZA--After defeating Vegeta, Frieza wounded (not killed) Krillin mortally. Gohan became enraged and lashed out. For a while, it appeared Gohan was doing well, but Frieza eventually got the upper hand back.

THE ANDROID SAGA

• VS. CELL--He attempted to end the fight by telling Cell his hidden power would kill him…but it only made Cell want to fight more. Which led to...
• VS. CELL(AS SS 2)--After nearly killing his friends and destroying Android 16, Gohan ascened past the Ultra Super Saiya-Jin level and went straight into Level 2! Gohan had the upper hand, but was on a mad power trip and let Cell almost blow up, but Goku gave his life to teleprt Cell away. After Cell came back and killed Trunks, Gohan (guided by Goku) was locked in a Kamehamea Wave struggle with Cell that ended with Cell being blown to bits and Gohan becoming the strongest fighter in the Universe.

THE MAJIN BUU SAGA

• VS. DABURA--This battle never really ended. While the two did fight for awhile, Dabura fled and allowed Bibbidi to possess Vegeta.
• VS. MAJIN BUU--This wasn't really a battle. Gohan was trying to escape from Buu, but instead got whooped by one punch.
• VS. MAJIN BUU (WITH MYSTIC POWER UP)--Gohan overwhelmed Buu, but was tricked into being absorbed.
