[Vegita's Pride]
What makes Vegeta Vegeta is his pride. If you havent already figured out, his main goal in life is to be the greatest Saiyan warrior there is. He never gave up but was always one step behind Son Goku. At times he didnt care and just gave up. Eventually he went back to training to get better then Kakarot(Goku). Vegetas pride was the very opposite of meaningless to him. It meant everything to him. He was ruled by Frieza. He did everything Frieza told him to but he still killed his father.
Vegetas pride was lost when Goku was the one who defeated Frieza. He hated the fact that Goku was always the one who saved him from situations. He wanted his turn. He always wanted his turn. Vegeta never really did have a "good" reputation. His desire to fight only got greater as he got stronger. Of course he created a family and liked it. His main purpose for living was to better the greatest. As his father(King Vegeta) told him he was from a strong bloodline, Vegeta never gave up. Being always one step behind..
Vegeta wasnt always like this. He ended up respecting his advasary Goku. This was after they had there last battle in the Majin Buu saga. Vegeta got what he wanted all his life.
