               12/21/02~ *** Anime Network VOD in Philly! *** Viewers in the Philadelphia area should be counting their lucky stars today. ADV Films has officially announced that the Anime Network will launch in mid-December as part of Comcast’s Video on Demand(VOD) service in the Philadelphia area.
               The new channel will be divided into 4 content areas (Action Zone, Sci-Fi, Comedy, and Martial Arts) and will include ADV feature films and series such as Spriggan, Evangelion, Excel Saga, Nadesico, Gasaraki, Noir, Dai-Guard, Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040, Orphen, Golden Boy, Sorcerer Hunters, Kimera, Ninja Resurrection, Tekken, Those Who Hunt Elves, Gunsmith Cats, Burn Up W and Samurai X: The Motion Picture.

               12/15/02~ Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim programming block is getting some new titles! Cartoon Network has officially announced the acquisition of 3 new Anime titles for their Adult Swim programming block:
-Trigun
-Lupin the 3rd
-Reign
               Reign is a 21st century science-fiction retelling of the legend of a Macedonian king. A visual masterpiece, Reign tells the story of Alexander's triumphs through engaging characters, intricate plots and glorious battle sequences. Lupin the 3rd will begin it’s run Monday-Thursday at 12 Midnight on January 13th, 2003. Debut dates for the other titles have yet to be announced, but we expect to see them early in 2003, so stay tuned!

               24 Hour Anime Station on Cable! Announced in June of 2002 at ADV Films' 10th Anniversary party in Tokyo, the Anime Network(tm) cable channel model will be structured around four categorized content areas: Action Zone, Sci-Fi, Comedy Incorrect, and Horror/Martial Arts. These categories are designed to include virtually the entire spectrum of quality anime, while providing contextual content for new viewers unfamiliar with specific titles. We’ll announce more info as it becomes available.
