-SSJ LEVELS-

First of all, I'll introduce you to the saiyan race. They were basically a race of hermit crabs, moving from planet to planet until they finally found a suitable planet to live on and build a kingdom. This planet was called Plant but was owned and claimed by the Tsfurujins. The saiyans were at war with the Tsfurujins. The Tsfurujins were winning the war, because of the technology they had and all sorts of devices that put the saiyans under siege. But the saiyan race one night at the full-moon transformed into Oozaru's and the saiyans were just too powerful and defeated the Tsfurujins. The only surviving Tsfurujin was Bebi. As all(but Bebi) were killed, the saiyans renamed Plant Planet Vegeta after their royal king and built a kingdom there. From then on their main purpose was to hold planets for ransom and sell it to the highest bidder.

Regular Saiyan Level - This form is the form a saiyan is born with. Every single saiyan is born with a tail and is born with this level. This level is their natural hair colour, a tail that is so long that it has to be wrapped around the waist and a very strong body. Every saiyan is strong. This form is mastered by every single saiyan in the whole anime trilogy. It is just their first form.

Super Saiyan Level - The Super Saiyan Level is a huge increase from the regular saiyan level. Their speed and strength ultimately rises, and the aura turns golden. This form was said to be the ultimate form, but as you can see below there are other forms stronger than this. Frieza, the being who took over Planet Vegeta feared that a Super Saiyan might be born from within the saiyan race so he destroyed their planet and attempted to kill all living saiyans. The Super Saiyan form gives your ki power higher limits, and your speed dramatically increases. The most distinctive feature about this form is the appearance. A saiyans hair colour turns luminous gold, and the eyes turn green. The facial hair such as the eye brows also turn gold. Sometimes it is best to go back to your regular saiyan form, because whilst in the super saiyan form you lose a lot of ki. The form is mastered by: Brolly, Goku, Goten, Trunks, Vegeta and Gohan. Also, in this form and forms above this form, when you use the Spirit Bomb, your energy gets absorbed and you turn back to the regular saiyan level from loss of energy. This level is only achieved when you are very angry and your energy erupts.

Super level - This level is mastered by: Gohan, Trunks, Goku and Vegeta. You mightn't know what this is. I take Vegeta for an example. Super level is basically a slight ascent and increase from the Super Saiyan level. When Vegeta came out of the Room of Spirit and Time, he was Super Vegeta. The muscles bulk up and you become much stronger. The speed level remains but the strength has a huge impact on your fighting. This form is mainly caused by vigorous and hard training.

Ultra Saiyan - This is the form mastered by Gohan, Trunks, Goku and Vegeta. Trunks achieved this level first. It is usually caused by anger, but undergoing lots of training can get you there also. The hair becomes a lot more spiky, and your body bulks up a lot. A downside to this is the speed. The speed is decreased when transforming to this state. A saiyan gets so heavy with the mass of muscles, that it's agility decreases and this can be a benefit to the opposition.

Super Saiyan 2 level - This form is mastered by Goku, Vegeta and Gohan. Once reaching this form, you're power level is doubled from your previous state. In this form, lots of zapping blue electrons appear revolving around the golden aura. The fringe becomes longer, with strands of hair sloping down the forehead. Your strength is increased majorly, and your speed is also increased. The first person to achieve this was Gohan. The form can be reached by anger and also just a matter of how strong you are. Vegeta and Goku showed us that it isn't anger that gets you there. If you train frequently you can reach this state. Gohan reaches this state against Cell, and Vegeta and Goku reach this state in a battle against eachother in the Buu Saga. There is no hair change, it stays golden, just like the Super Saiyan level.

Super Saiyan 3 level - This level is mastered by Goku and Gotenks( a fusion of Goten and Trunks). Once you achieve this level, your hair grows increasingly. In fact, your hair goes down past your neck, almost the size of Raditz' hair. In this form the hair does not change, it stays golden. Your strength dramatically increases, and your speed increases, but minorly. This form is skipped by Vegeta. This form only lasts for half an hour, so it is best to use it wisely and intelligently. You may not notice this, but the size of the body itself increases about an inch or so. The muscles become very bulky. The first saiyan to achieve this level is Goku against Majin Buu. This is a very delicate form and I especially like seeing Gotenks in it, bashing up Buu.

Oozaru - This is the form reached by a saiyan when he/she looks into the moonshine of the moon. You require a tail to reach this form. This form is mastered by every single saiyan who has lived, except Trunks and Goten. Once you look into the moonshine, your body turns from a regular saiyan into a huge giant ape who starves for destruction. Only the very strong saiyans like Vegeta can control themselves and sustain their sanity in this form. Rather weak and inexperienced fighters like young Gohan are uncontrollable. The appearance of an Oozaru is black fur, a huge build and very evil red eyes. Some people refer this form as a Were-Monkey.

The Real Super Saiyan Level(Golden Oozaru) - This is the real super saiyan level. The Golden Oozaru is in fact the original super saiyan. Only the saiyans without tails who turn Super Saiyan are given the form I mentioned above with the golden hair. If you're a saiyan with a tail and you turn Super Saiyan, then you will reach the Golden Oozaru form. This is exactly the same as the Oozaru form, except you have golden fur and put it this way, you're a super saiyan with increased power and strength. This form is mastered by: Bebi-Vegeta, Goku and Brolly.

Super Saiyan 4 Level - This is the strongest saiyan form achieved only by Vegeta and Goku. Vegeta did not achieve this form naturally, in fact, Bulma made a brute ray to make Vegeta go Super Saiyan 4. The form is beyond Golden Oozaru even. Besides the brute ray, there is only one way to reach the Super Saiyan 4 level. The way is that you HAVE to reach the Golden Oozaru form. Once in this form, you have to be very angry to go Super Saiyan 4 for example when Goku saw a picture of Pan crying he went angry and turned into the Super Saiyan 4 level. There are no downsides, you're simply PERFECT. In this form, you have to have a tail. Because you need a tail to become Golden Oozaru, and you need to be Golden Oozaru to become Super Saiyan 4. In this form your hair goes from golden back to black. Your power dramatically increases, your hair shortens a bit, but is still down to around the middle of the spine. This is the strongest form in the whole Dragonball series.
