Miyuki and Ken

Miyuki and Ken's relationship has been present ever since the OAV's and they really are slooow. Ken always seems so shy and acts weird when it's about Miyuki. At least the last few episodes were good were Ken is acting more like a man and shares his true feelings with Miyuki (Sad to say he only said it to the whole station except Miyuki, oh boy). Their relationship is always being mentioned by the people they help out and are always complimented that they are made for each other. They have only had a couple of dates and most of which they were being spied upon by the station (Yoriko, Aoi, Natsumi and the Chief, nosey!!!) Maybe that's why their relationship isn't going anywhere, everybody says they only need a little push but they never get any quality time with each other due to the constant snooping of the station. At the last episode (File 51) Ken saves Miyuki's life by smashing his bike onto an Alfa Romeo ready to shoot at Miyuki and Natsumi (how sweet).

When will this ever take place?

Natsumi and Toukairin

Natsumi and Shouji's relationship on the other hand developed pretty fast because toukairin was only in the series for a couple of episodes. They started off as rivals in an arm wrestling contest over some food. Natsumi lost and became obsessed with defeating Toukairin. Later on, Natsumi develops a liking for Shouji Toukairin when they went to the province of Oshou's (the priest) mother, and they go stroll across the fields together where shouji shares a special place with Natsumi. They eventually hang out together and go rock climbing and other stuff. Until one day, a big accident occurs inside a tunnel and Natsumi and Shouji go inside to find any survivors. Shouji wanted Natsumi to go back because he said that he cared for her and that her life was very important to him. The rescue turned out okay but then Shouji confesses to Natsumi that he will be leaving the station and that he will leave for the Himalayas. On the day of his departure at the Narita Airport, Natsumi races to see him off and they show their true feelings by kissing each other.
