The Unicorns Horn
The Unicorns horn is said to have magic, it could purifiy poision and heal the sick. For this it was very valuable. Narwhale horns were mostly mistaken for unicorn horns. Therefore, lots of narwhales died. The horn was also believed to have the power of protection. Most like a lucky rabbits foot today.

The 1 way to Capture a Unicorn
There was only one way to catch a unicorn. It had a incredible weakness for the pure of heart. Therefore, whenever a virgin maiden was about the forest, the unicorn would sense her presence. The unicorn would approuch her and lay on her lap, falling asleep. Hunters took advantage of this and took girls into the forest. Once the unicorn was asleep they would jump out and take the precious horn. Leaving the unicorn to die a painful death.

Through the Ages
The unicorn changed itself through the ages. European Myth told of a small goat-like creature with cloven hoves, lions tail and a long spiral horn coming from it's forhead. Now a days it is more like a horse creature with a horn on it's head. It is interesting to note that the early horse, Eohippus had several toes, a possibly lion-like tail, and was small of size, much like the early unicorn.
