He stood there feeling the wind brush his face and move his cloak as he wondered when his companion would get there. Deciding she wouldn’t be there anytime soon he pulled his cloaks hood over his head and started to walk towards the inn, nearing the door he felt the wind shift slightly. Changing his mind and turning a round he was suddenly thrust into a damp alley, noticing a shadow move behind him he quickly pulled out his finely crafted sword and swung into the darkness only nicking his wanted target.

That was not enough to stop the creature from pushing him against the wall taking his breath and making his sword fall into an open sewer grating,

“ You will make a fine meal indeed,” the creature hissed then hit his victim hard against the chest knocking the victim out and making him slump onto the creatures shoulder. “ A fine meal indeed,” it whispered under its breath. Tossing his victim into the sewer then jumped in after him, landing hard onto the body the creature started to drag his victim deeper into the sewer. The big assailant hardly noticed that his hood fell off only to reveal a gnoll that had a big scar on his left eye.

“He should have been here by now,” Jamelle Suddenly cried while she was fumbling through her sack that was about the size of here chest, pulling out a small bottle its unknown contents giving a swirl of color as she shook it and opened it. Releasing a small barrage of scents that quickly filled the room, then quickly closing it as fast as she had opened is she gave a small smirk of victory.

“I’ll never understand why you like that smell,” the small dwarf next to her remarked as he wrinkled his nose in disgust. This dwarf was no taller then the sack that Jamelle was holding. He closely resembled a forest dwarf as his small lock of hair fell over his face blinding him briefly, “Why are you worrying so much? You know he always goes off alone i’m sure he’s just buying some supplies.” Then picking up what seemed a small stone and attaching it to his helmet, he grew taller, he now matched height with Jamelle yet his facial features stayed the same. “Don’t worry, i’m sure he will be here soon,” he said trying to comfort her though he didn’t believe it himself. He knew that his friend Calas had always wondered off alone, though he had never been this long, he had been gone from dawn and now the sun was going down engulfing most of the light as the stars appeared, “Not for long,” he whispered.
