Computer Scientist
Computer scientists\engineers conduct research, design computers, and
discover the principles of using computers. Computer scientists\engineers
may perform many of the same tasks as other computer professionals
throughout a normal workday, but their jobs are distinguished by the higher
level of expertise they apply to problems and ideas for the creation of new
technology. Computer scientists employed by academic institutions work in
areas from theory to hardware to language design, or on multi-discipline
projects, like developing and advancing uses for artificial intelligence.

Machinist
Machinists produce precision metal parts, usually using machine tools such
as lathes, drill presses, and milling machines. Although machinists
sometimes produce large quantities of one part, machinists often produce
small batches of one-of-a-kind items. They set up and operate a wide
variety of machine tools and know the working properties of metals such as
steel, cast iron, aluminum, and brass. Using their skill with machine tools
and their knowledge of metals, machinists plan and carry out the operations
needed to make machined products that meet precise specifications.
Salary: Average earnings are $492 a week

Electrical Engineer
Electrical and electronics engineers design, develop, test, and supervise
the manufacture of electrical and electronic equipment. Electrical
equipment includes power generating and transmission equipment used by
electric utilities, and electric motors, machinery controls, and lighting
and wiring in buildings, automobiles, and aircraft. Electronic equipment
includes radar, computer hardware, and communications and video equipment.
Salary: Average earnings are around $40,000, depending on education
experience
