Ablities: Piccolo is a powerful Namek, having joined with Nail and Kami. He is able to use his ki to make very strong attacks, like the Special Beam Cannon. He is also able to split himself in two to train to his utmost. And as a Namek, he has amazing regenerative abilities, even able to regrow a limb in a short amount of time.
History: Piccolo is the son of Piccolo Daimioh, the Demon King. Daimioh was created when Kami excorcised the evil spirit from within him. Daimioh wanted to take over the Earth but was stopped by Goku. Before dying, Daimioh spit out an egg and out hatched the present Piccolo. Piccolo trained hard as he grew up, intent on killing Goku. But when Radditz arrived, he temporarily called a truce with Goku so they could work together to defeat him. When Goku died and more Saiyans arriving, Piccolo took it upon himself to train Gohan. Somewhere along the way, the little boy softened Piccolo's hard heart. Softened it so much that he actually sacrificed himself to save Gohan. After he was wished back, Piccolo continued to help the Z gang defend the Earth from those who would destroy it. But he was still not the most friendly of people. Yet Gohan paved the way for Piccolo's heart to be open when he meets a woman even less reluctant to hang around people than he is. And upon meeting her, Piccolo will find himself wanting to protect her with his life if need be.

Personality: Piccolo's overall personality is very serious and his manner is rather sarcastic. But he has a good heart hidden inside, leaving him to be fiercely protective of those he cares about and the beliefs he has. Though he thinks rather logically, he can pass over logic when he thinks it is right. I guess basically you can say he's the strong and silent type.
