Episode 7: The Lost Mistress

“No, no and NO!” Nathan yelled.

“But why not? Alana has gone into depression without him, Nathan! You of all the humans know that!” Horkamon pointed out.
It was morning, and the Bladeramon had given the humans and their Digimon directions to where the place Felina was taken might be.
Alana sat near a fountain in the center of the village. Its water was clear as air, but seemed dusty to her. Her head rested on her arms, and her face and eyes were dead looking.
“NO! We need you two here!”
“No, you don’t! You just don’t want her to leave, because you’re worried about her!” Horkamon growled. “And I can understand that, but she needs this!”
“I don’t care!” Nathan growled.
The other Digimon and DigiDestened watched as Horkamon and Nathan yelled at each other.
“Sense when don’t you care?! You’ve always done what’s best for the others in our group! She’ll die if she doesn’t go!”
“No, she won’t!”
“How do you know that? She didn’t eat a bite for dinner! And she hasn’t eaten or drunken all morning!” Horkamon growled.
“She’ll be fine!” Nathan replied.
Horkamon narrowed her eyes. “You know she has to go. You know it. Do this for her Nathan. Has she ever asked anything of you? Anything at all?”
Nathan was about to say something, but stopped. “No,” he said at last.
“My point exactly. Please let her do this one thing. Just this one.”
“But--”
“You have the other DigiDestened to take care of this. You have an army that the world government of Earth would be jealous of. Twelve Digimon and their DigiDestened? That could defeat anything. Plus the rings!”
Nathan sighed, and seemed to regret was he was about to say. “Fine. She can go, and you too. But no one else.”
“That was all I was asking. We’ll meet you at the rondevu point just before the castle in seven days. If we’re lucky, we’ll have Mimicmon with us.”
Nathan nodded. “So, we’ll see you in seven days.”
Horkamon crossed her arms, surprisingly not cutting herself, and nodded. “In seven days.” She shook Nathan’s hand, then went over to Alana. “Let’s go,” she said in a soft voice. “I’ll find Mimicmon, even if it kills me.”
Alana stood as Horkamon began to walk toward the gates.
Kyle watched with saddened eyes as she left, and Jessica and Shantamon looked mad.
Jessica took Shantamon aside. “This will effect everything!”
Shantamon nodded. “We should report this.”
Jessica smirked. “As soon as we leave…”
She was cut off by Nathan telling the group to head out, and growled.

Alana followed Horkamon as they walked in the direction of the Primary Village. Sunlight streamed through the trees, and onto the small path they were taking. Her face and eyes were still dead.

Suddenly a Digimon jumped out of the trees and onto the path. He growled, and narrowed his eyes.
“Who are you to pass through here?” it was SaberLeomon.
“It’s Horkamon, and Alana. You remember us, right?” Horkamon said.
SaberLeomon relaxed. “Yes, of course. And how are you?”
“We’re going to the Primary Village.” Horkamon replied. “What brings you here?”
“The darkness that I wish to defeat.”
Horkamon sweatdropped. “You don’t mean to tell me you and Ogermon are still on about that, do you?”
SaberLeomon shook his head, and de-digivolved.
“May I join you?”
Horkamon looked back at Alana, then nodded. “Yes. It might be a good thing if you do.”
“So, what’s wrong with Alana?” Leomon asked as they began to walk again.
“Just…nothing really. She wanted to go to Primary Village, so we’re going.”
“What about the others?”
Horkamon shook her head. “They’re going to rescue Felina and Keelamon from who ever took them.”
Leomon frowned. “And, who would that be?”
“We’re not sure. But I think it may have to do with the darkness,” Horkamon said.
Leomon sighed, and shook his head. Suddenly, he asked something that caught Alana off guard, and made her look surprised.

Felina was still chained to the wall, but now Keekomon was awake. She was mad, but awake none the less.

“I can’t believe it! Who’s that little brat think she is, chaining us up here?!” she growled.
Felina glanced over at her friend, who was struggling against her bonds.
“Well, jeez Keekomon, I don’t know. Maybe she’s the mistress of darkness?” she said in a sarcastic voice.
“Well, duh,” Keekomon said, glaring at her partner. “But, I don’t get it. Why us? Of all the DigiDestend, why choose us?”
“I can answer that,” a voice said, and a digimon stepped from the shadows. He had the body of a wolf, and the wings of a bat.
“Gathomon,” Keekomon growled.
“The Lady wanted you two because that boy cares for you, and would – will – kill himself to save you.”
“Then why didn’t he try and save us?” Keekomon sneered.
“You think an In-Training Digimon recovers that quickly?” Gathomon spat. “Please.”
“But, Stunomon did,” the pink dog/fox head pointed out.
“Ah, but Horkamon’s been tamed for almost nine years, ne?”
Keekomon growled. “Why is she doing this?”
Gathomon sighed. “I wish I knew.” He then walked into the shadows.
“Wait!” Felina yelled, but no answer came. “Great. Just ducky!”
Keekomon sighed. “He did try to save us, didn’t he?”
Felina nodded. “I just hope he doesn’t end up like Sean…”
Keekomon looked at a crack in the floor, then nodded. “Me too. If that were to happen…”
“What planet do you think he’d represent?” Felina asked suddenly.
“Huh? What do you mean?”
“Like when you Planet DigiVolved, you turned into CometEclipsemon. So, what would Mimicmon become?”
“I dunno. Good question…” Keekomon replied.
“Maybe he’d become NebulaEclipsemon? It would suit him, wouldn’t it?” Felina asked.
“Yea,” Keekomon replied. “I guess it would.”
Felina sighed. “Sean would have found something ironically funny in our situation, wouldn’t he?”
“Nope,” Keekomon said. “He may have been funny, but he wasn’t stupid.”
“True…”
Keekomon sighed. “I hope they come soon.”
“Yea, this place’s getting dark.”
“No, my butt’s cold,” Keekomon said, then cringed.
Felina smirked. “Let’s hope they do come soon, then.”

“How’s that little boy? Sean, I think. He and his Digimon were fun to be with,” Leomon said.

Alana’s head shot up.
Horkamon cringed. “He’s dead.”
Leomon looked shocked. “For how long?”
“Five years,” Horkamon replied.
“Oh, I’m sorry. I’d thought he was doing something else when I last saw you.” Leomon said, looking sad.
Alana lowered her head, but continued to listen until they had started to talk about something different.
If only I had been able to save you…It was all my fault…she closed her eyes as tears began to fill them.

“Tai, why did Alana and Horkamon want to leave?” Kari asked, looking up at her brother.

He looked down at Kari. “I’m not really sure. But, I think it has to do with what Val told us last night.”
“You bet it does,” Izzy said.
“Huh?” Tai asked.
“When Alana looked at me this morning, I felt like the entire world was going to die. She was really upset,” the red-haired boy said.
“Ok…” Tai said. “So, what does that mean?”
“Oh, oh! I know!” Tentamon said flying up beside Izzy. “Somehow, she’s linked to our world more than any other human is, so if she begins to feel like she’s dying, then the DigiWorld will begin to die.”
“You’re kidding,” Joe said coming up on Tai’s other side.
“No, I’m afraid we aren’t,” Izzy said. “Let me show you.”
He stopped, and shockingly, so did everyone else, even Nathan. Izzy sat down and got on his laptop.
He began to type, and two pictures showed up. One was of Alana, and the other one was of the Digital Wold.
“Here,” he began, and everyone got behind him. “If Alana begins to get sick, then watch what happens to this world.” Izzy clicked on an icon, and the picture of Alana began to cough. Suddenly, the DigiWorld began to go dry, and turn brown. “Now watch what happens if she begins to get a headache.” He clicked on another icon, and the figure touched her head. The planet began to stop rotating, causing one side to become a desert, and the other to become a polar ice-cap.
“So, if she dies,” Izzy clicked on another icon, and the figure dropped dead. “Then the planet dies,” the image of the planet started by drying up, then becoming a waist-land. Finally, it blew up.
Tai flinched. “Wow.”
Nathan blinked.
“It’s a good thing you let her and Horkamon go,” Izzy said, looking up at Nathan. He stood up. “Because if you hadn’t…we’ll just say that Felina wouldn’t need to be rescued.”
Matt shivered.
“But, if she’s linked to this world…” Augumon began.
“She must be the lost Mistress of the Digi-World!” Gomomon finished.
Gatomon blinked. “You mean…she’s our Queen?!”
Patomon was hovering in the air, then he smiled, “Wow! It’s been a long time sense our world had a queen!”
Biyomon and Palmon both nodded. “It has,” Palmon said.
“So, if she is the queen, that would mean her parents are…” Biyomon began.
“Two of those other DigiDestened, the ones that came before us,” Kyle said, then nodded.
“But, where are they?” Tsunomon asked.
“They were killed,” Augumon said.
“What do you mean? You weren’t around then,” Gomomon pointed out.
Jessica and Shantamon began to back away from the group, glancing at each other.
Suddenly, Poisomon turned and looked at them. “And just where are you going?”
Jessica blinked, then turned and began to run. She was followed closely by Shantamon.
“Nu uh,” Poisomon said. “Not today. POISON OAK!” he lifted his hands, and his fingers shot out, and wrapped around Jessica’s waist.
Palmon smiled, then yelled, “POISON IVY!” her fingers also shot out, and tied around the girls legs.
Shantamon had evaporated, and disappeared.
The two plant-based Digimon began to pull her back to the group. When they had succeeded, Poisomon asked, “Alright, who the hell are you? And who are you working for?”
Jessica stuck her tongue out at him. “Like I’m gonna tell you.”
Augumon growled, then said, “You better.”
Jessica laughed. “Yea right. You guys are weak! I’ll bet you think Shantamon’s gone!”
“She’s right you know,” Anthylamon said. Then she walked forward, and grabbed Jessica by the throat, her claws were slowly piercing her skin. “Now, you tell us, or I’ll give you a little surprise.”
Jessica laughed. “I’m not worried about dying. It’s you who should be.”
“I can eject my claws into your neck, what do you think of that?” the purple and green cat asked.
Jessica just continued to smirk. “I’ll never talk, you know that, right?”
Suddenly, Anthylamon noticed her shadow was growing darker. She smirked. Then said, “If that’s how you want it…LIGHTS SHADOW!” a beam of light came from the small purple crystal on the cats forehead, and hit Jessica’s shadow. There was a screech as Shantamon’s face appeared in it.
Jessica’s eyes went wide. “What?!”
Shantamon ran for the tree line, screeching the entire way.
“Now that that’s taken care of,” Anthylamon said turning back to Jessica. “Answer Poiso’s question, or else…”
Jessica rolled her eyes. “‘Or else,’” she sneered.
Anthylamon began to dig her claws deeper. “I have no problem killing a human.”
“Stop!” Kari yelled. “She doesn’t deserve to die!”
Kyle turned and looked at the girl, a long with the others.
“What are you talking about?” he asked.
“Why do you always let your Digimon hurt people?!” Kari asked him.
Kyle growled. “You’re being a pest, so shut up.”
“Hey,” Tai said. “Don’t go there, buddy, or you’ll regret it.”
Anthylamon glanced at Poisomon. “Keep her grounded.” She motioned at Jessica.
Poisomon nodded, and tightened his grip on the girl.
Anthylamon turned and faced Tai. “Don’t go where?” she hissed.
“Leave my sister alone!” Tai answered.
“She’s…your sister?” Dayakyumon asked, blinking.
Tai nodded.
“What cha gonna do about it if I don’t want to?” Kyle asked, his eyes flashing.
“I’m gonna beat you up, that’s what,” Tai replied.
“Oh…do you fight as well as your sister, or are you better?” Kyle mocked.
“Tai, don’t,” Kari said. “I can take care of him.”
Sora blinked. “I thought she was gonna tell him to stop. But, I guess not.”
Biyomon nodded.
Jessica began to laugh. “This is so pitiful! The all-mighty DigiDestened fighting amongst each other like children!”
“Shut up!” Anthylamon growled, and she shot her claws out at the girl yelling, “CLAW SPIKE!”
Jessica was silenced, but not dead. The claws held her mouth shut, and kept her from saying anything further.
Anthylamon then turned to Dayakyumon. “Get the information with your mind-reading thingy.”
The seal-dog-fish Digimon nodded, and walked/scooted over to the girl. She placed her forehead against Jessica’s. The green jewel began to glow. Dayakyumon yelled, “MIND READ!”
“Right,” Anthylamon said turning back to Tai. “Now that we’ve got that covered…what were you saying?”
Tai frowned. “Just don’t make fun of Kari, ok?”
Kyle narrowed his eyes. “If she won’t shut up, I won’t stop.”
Tai growled, and was about to go after him, when Matt held out his hand in front of Tai. “Don’t, you’ll only make it worse.”
Tai relaxed, but only slightly. “Fine. But, that doesn’t mean I won’t hurt him if he does that again.”
Kyle narrowed his eyes. “Bite me.”
“Oh, I’m sorry. I can’t do that without your bitches permission,” Tai said sarcastically.
“Bad move…” Patomon said.
“I can’t watch…” Gatomon said, covering her eyes.
Kyle narrowed his eyes, and launched himself at Tai. Palmon and Poisomon yelled their attacks, and tried to restrain him. Biyomon flew over, and began to try and help hold him back. Patomon did the same. Anthylamon on the other hand, was too fast for any of the other Digimon or humans to catch.
Gatomon un-covered her eyes, and saw her, then she ran at her, and knocked her to the ground.
“I’ve always wanted to do this,” she said, then pulled her arm back, and hit Anthylamon across the face.
Matt stood, stunned. Kyle was strong. He had gutted Palmon and Poisomon when they had gotten closer, and was on his way to ‘killing’ Tai.
The only reason Jessica hadn’t moved was because Dayakyumon was still reading her mind.
Kyle knocked Tai to the ground, and grabbed his shirt collar. “Say that again, you--”
“Stop fighting!” Val and Mimi yelled.
Kyle narrowed his eyes at Tai, who was smiling ironically.
“Please stop!” Mimi yelled. “We’re the DigiDestened! We shouldn’t be fighting like this! Plus, one of our team members is in trouble! Is this how we’re going to save her?!”
T.K. nodded at Mimi. “Yea! We shouldn’t be fighting like this!”
Kyle shoved Tai back into the ground. “If you ever, and I mean ever insult Alana again, I’ll make certain there’s nothing left of you.”
He stood up and walked over to a tree, Anthylamon had hit Gatomon when she hadn’t been looking, and was with Kyle, cleaning her scratches.
Dayakyumon had finished with Jessica, and looked around at the group. “Somebody fill me in on what happened later. I know what this girl was trying to do.”
“What do you mean ‘was’?” Sora asked.
“When I use my Mind Read attack, all the memories are sucked from the person, or Digimon or whatever I’m doing it on, therefore, making them have amnesia. Permanently. That’s why I hardly ever use it.”
Sora blinked.
“Let’s go a ways down the path, then I’ll tell you,” Dayakyumon said.
The group started down the path once again, though there wasn’t as much chatter as there had been before. It was obvious that Kyle’s outburst toward Kari and Tai had caused more then some friction between the two groups.

It had been about two hours sense Alana and Horkamon had left the Bladeramon Village, and about an hour and forty-five minutes sense Leomon had joined them.

As the three were ending their climb of a small hill, they spotted Primary Village. The colors, and blocks were the same as they had always been.
Alana watched as Leomon said, “This is where I leave you. I have other bisness that needs attending to. Good luck, and good bye.”
Horkamon waived as Leomon disappeared into the trees.
“Well,” she said. “Let’s go and see if Electmon knows where Mimicmon is.”
Alana nodded, and followed Horkamon down the hill.
When they reached the village, Horkamon looked around.
“Electmon! Hey! You here?” she yelled.
“Who are you, and what do you want?” the red and yellow Digimon asked, coming out from behind a block.
“We came to ask you about a Digimon.” Horkamon said stepping forward. “And if you know where he’s at?”
“Who is it this time?” the digimon asked in a grumpy voice.
“Mimicmon,” Horkamon replied.
“Him? He was reborn years ago, and now you come looking for him?” the Digimon shook his head.
“Do you know where he’s at?”
“Last I heard, he’d gone to the Dittomon Village. But, he may have left there by now,” Electmon said.
“How far of a walk is it from here?” Horkamon asked.
“Oh, about a day to a day and a half. There’s a short-cut if you go down that path,” Electmon pointed at a small path that was over to his right.
“How long?”
“Oh, about a day. Maybe you’ll make it by nightfall if you leave soon. Just keep going down that path, until you hit a fork in the road that has a group of Opisatirimon. Go right, no matter what they say. Then continue down that path until you reach the village. It should take you only until nightfall if you keep a good pace,” Electmon said.
Horkamon nodded. “Thanks. We appreciate it very much.”
She and Alana walked toward the path, then into the trees.
Electmon scratched the back of his head. “Wonder what was up with the human… and I wonder why they want to find Mimicmon…” he shrugged, and went back to the crying baby digimon.
Alana walked silently behind Horkamon as they went down the narrow path.
“It’d be cool if he’s there,” Horkamon said, trying to get Alana to talk.
The blond didn’t respond.
“Oh, c’mon Alana…say something to me. No one’s around. Please talk to me,” Horkamon said, looking back at her partner. She sighed when Alana didn’t say anything. I wish she would tell me what’s wrong besides Sean and Mimicmon…
