Episode 15: The Final Battle

Alana and Sean had finally exited the passage, and hurried back to the group in the pouring sheets of rain.

It took them about twenty minutes to find the others, but when they did, a very mad Nathan greeted Alana. He yelled at her until his voice was dry and hoarse, but hugged her anyway.
Justin and the others did the same, and when Mimicmon saw Sean, even a steamboat couldn’t have kept him from knocking his DigiDestened to the ground. It was a grand reunion for all those that had known the seventh child.
The fourteen children and the fifteen Digimon (Mikagemon had returned earlier), went into the cave and made a fire (compliments to Justin and Augumon), and began to plan the attack on Judi and the others.
The stones were in Alana’s pocket when Mikagemon mentioned them.
“When I was outside of the room, I saw something glow bright blue, then flash and make Heather, KuraiGatomon, Zach and Ninjeriamon go through the wall.” The group had been going over ways to attack Judi and the others. “It was like something had blown them away. At first, I thought someone’s attack had backfired, but then I realized that something else had done it.”
“So?” T.K. asked, “What made them go through a wall?”
“Some stones that Alana had going around her. It was so cool!” the In-Training grinned.
Sean glanced at Alana, as did Horkamon and Mimicmon.
“Stones…?” Nathan asked in his silky tone. “Alana, what is she talking about?”
The blond was looking at the floor of the cave. “It was something…that my father gave me that started my sort of ‘quest’ for the other stones.”
“What are you talking about?” Nathan said as calmly as possible.
“I’ll show you,” Alana stood up, and reached into her pockets, withdrawing the eight stones. One by one, she set them on the ground. Then she sat as well. “My father gave me this one,” she held up the red one. “And I went to find the others when I learned of their existence. I didn’t tell you, because I wanted to use them to…take care of something. I also got a set of armor from my mother--”
“Wait!” Nathan said. “Just, stop! You mean to tell me that you had a weapon, and you never told me about it?! And how in the name of the devil did you get that stone from your dad when he’s been dead for over thirteen years?! And, what armor are you talking about?!”
Alana closed her eyes, then explained how her mother had written to her, and how she’d received her armor and the stone.
When she had finished, Justin shook his head. “Bad move, Alana. Not telling us about this could have gotten us all killed.”
“I understand, and I take all responsibility for my actions.”
Sean watched in shock as the girl acted like nothing was wrong, when he knew all to well that she was torn up inside.
“What’s the armor look like?” Nathan asked, rubbing his temples with his forefingers.
Alana smirked, and stood up again. She closed her eyes, and the armor appeared yet again.
Sean suddenly smiled. “I’ve seen that armor before.”
Nathan’s head jolted up. “Where?” he snapped.
Sean blinked, then said, “I don’t remember. All I remember is that I’ve seen it before.”
Nathan nodded, then turned to Alana. “Well, it should be useful when we battle for our lives against Judi. Same with those stones of yours.”
“And the rings,” Tai said.
Nathan nodded. “True.”
Kari looked to be in thought, then she said, “Wait. He doesn’t have a ring.”
The others looked at her.
“I mean, we all have rings, except Sean,” she explained.
Izzy had an odd sort of smile on his face. “Not for long.”
“Explain,” Nathan said in a slightly harsh tone.
“Well, There’s something coming this way real fast. And either it’s a Digimon, or it’s his ring.”
“What’s all this about a ring?” the cobalt blue eyed boy questioned.
“You’ll see,” Alana said.
A light then zipped into the cave, and stopped in front of Sean. It began to glow the blue-gray of his Crest.
“Okay…” he said in a low voice.
Mimicmon smiled. “Finally. I thought I’d have to stay a rookie forever!”

Judi sat on her chair; her eyes were like fire as she looked at the six before her. Gathomon was nowhere in sight.

She spoke no word, but the silence was punishment enough to the others. Finally, she spoke.
“Do you realize that you have given the children an advantage against us?” she hissed.
No one spoke.
“Now that Sean has been reborn, they have another on their team! Another Digimon who can DigiVolve!”
Still, no one spoke.
The girl stood, then said, “I want you two,” she pointed at Heather and KuraiGatomon, “to round up as many Digimon as possible who will cooperate with us.” She then turned to Zach and Ninjeriamon. “I want the two of you to make ready traps and weapons for us to use against them.” She finally turned to Jessica and Shantamon. “And you. The two of you will patch the wall, and clean up the mess in Kyle’s room. Do I make myself clear?”
The others nodded once.
“Good. Now get to work!”
The six bowed and set about making ready for the battle that was going to take place.

Dawn approached, and the group of twenty-nine set out for the castle. It turned out that they were going to go in for the direct charge. It had been summed up that Judi was expecting a surprise attack, so she’d probably be ready for them.

The rain from the previous night had turned most of the dirt on the paths into mud, so it was difficult trying to walk through it.
It had also been decided that the Digimon wouldn’t Planet DigiVolve until the odds were against them. They needed the trump card, and that was it.
Tai and Matt exchanged looks as they walked down the path. No one really knew about Gabumon and Augumon’s ability to Warp DigiVolve.
Horkamon suddenly spoke up, “Nathan?”
“Yea?”
“If I could…when the battle starts, should we warp DigiVolve, or not?”
Nathan seemed to think that one over. Then he nodded. “But only you. We can’t risk anyone else using that much power. Aside form the Planet forms, we’ll use CyborgBladeramon as our second trump card.”
Matt and Tai sighed. That meant that Gabumon and Augumon wouldn’t need to do Warp DigiVolve either.
The group had been walking for a long time, when suddenly, Mimi went screaming up into a tree.
Nathan turned and looked at her. “Watch your step, everyone! They’ve got this place rigged! Which means they’re expecting us!”
Palmon looked up at Mimi, then said, “Mimi! Hold on! I’ll get you down!” the Digimon began to climb the tree, but Poisomon sighed, then yelled, “LEAVE SWIPE!” four razor-like leaves shot forward, and cut
Mimi down from the tree.
The girl landed with a thud, then stood up.
Nathan turned and said, “Let’s get going. And remember, watch your step. Only step where the person in front of you steps.”
This meant that the group had to get into a straight line, which wasn’t much fun. Alana ended up carrying Mikagemon, because she couldn’t keep up.
It was shocking that in the next hour, no one got caught in a trap, but Justin jinxed it by saying, “Man, we’re lucky. No one besides Mimi has been caught in a trap.”
It was right then that Nathan dropped into a hole.
He glared up at Justin, who had been right behind Poisomon.
“POISON OAK!” Poisomon shot his vines down for his DigiDestened to climb out on.
When Nathan had gotten out, he glared at Justin, then said, “From this moment until we reach the castle, don’t talk, okay?”
Justin nodded, then said brightly, “Okay!”
“C’mon,” the brown hared boy said, then began to lead the group down the path yet again.
Sometime later, they had reached the castle. The group then became a blob again. Nathan scouted around.
“Something’s not right,” he said, then turned and looked around with his eyes. “Better DigiVolve.”
Poisomon grinned. “I was wondering when you’d say that. Poisomon DigiVolve to…VINELLAMON!”
A horse like head, eyes like Palmon, ears like a cat, and a body like Palmon, except no hair, and spines going down his back green Digimon stood next to Nathan, and smirked.
Biyomon and Palmon glanced at each other, then yelled, “Biyomon DigiVolve to…”
“Palmon DigiVolve to…”
“BIRDRAMON!” A bird made of flames flapped up into the sky, and soared around.
“TOGAMON!” A cactus with red boxing gloves stood next to Mimi.
Next were Gabumon and Augumon.
“Augumon DigiVolve to…GRAYMON!” The T-Rex like Digimon stood near Togamon.
“Gabumon DigiVolve to…GARURUMON!” The wolf Digimon moved up behind the others.
Then came Gomomon, Patomon, Gatomon and Metamon.
“Gomomon DigiVolve to…”
“Gatomon DigiVolve to…”
“Patomon DigiVolve to…”
“Metamon DigiVolve to…”
“IKAKUMON!” the large walrus like Digimon came up behind Joe, followed by the angel like forms of…
“ANGEWOMON!” and…
“ANGEMON!” The two angels flew up into the sky, and prepared for battle.
“TARGETMON!” the clown-like Digimon stood behind Justin, grabbing his machine guns, and charging them up.
Next came Tentamon, Keelamon, and Dayakyumon.
“Tentamon DigiVolve to…”
“Keelamon DigiVolve to…”
“Dayakyumon DigiVolve to…”
“KABUTARYMON!” The insect-like Digimon launched itself into the air, followed by the pink fox-dog form of Kireamon.
“KIREAMON!” the dog-fox Digimon launched herself into the air, following Kabutarymon.
“TILIATHMON!” A walrus-like Digimon with doggish ears and a mermaid like tail stood behind Val.
“Okay,” Sean said, looking at Alana. “Our turn.”
The blond nodded, and smirked. “You know what to do, Horkamon.”
The dark orchid Digimon nodded, then yelled, “Horkamon Warp DigiVolve to…”
The monkey form of Mimicmon began to DigiVolve to Champion for the first time. “Mimicmon DigiVolve to…”
“CYBORGBLADERAMON!” a Bladeramon look-a-like stood next to Alana, only she had cybernetic parts here and there.
“KOPIMON!” an odd looking Digimon stood where Mimicmon once had. He looked somewhat like Mimicmon, only he was made from silverish stuff, and when he saw Sean, his body formed to look like his DigiDestinds.
“Kopi is translated into ‘duplicate.’” Mikagemon said helpfully.
The team captains (Tai and Nathan both nodded), then said at the same time; “Let’s go team!”
The doors to the castle burst open as the twenty-nine forms entered.
A sudden yell of attack caught them off guard.
“DOUBLE KATANA!” WingedNinjanimon hissed, tossing her katana at the Digimon closest to her.
“Oh boy! This is gonna be fun! I can just tell!” Sean said sarcastically.
Alana smirked, then nodded. “I agree. CyborgBladeramon!” the girl whistled once, and her Digimon came over to her.
<’Ready Alana?’> she asked.
“You bet it. Let’s go.” The girl jumped onto the Digimons high back, and yelled her attack, “Wahoo!”
The two shot into the air, making Sean blink. “Uh…I forgot she’s like that…” he sweat-dropped, then looked around him. Everyone was fighting like crazy.
The boy watched as a Serpinteriamon got its head blown off by Targetmon’s Missile Launch attack.
Kopimon walked over to Sean. “Let’s get this party started,” he said in a grim voice.
Sean nodded, and said, “I see a spear on the floor. I’ll use that. You do what you can.”
The Digimon nodded, and moved off into the battle.
Sean turned and ran for the spear. He almost had it when a large tentacle reached out and wrapped around his waist.
He yelped in shock, then looked up at the Digimon that held him. It was an Octupimon. He cringed, then saw from the corner of his eyes a dark orchid and silver streak flying at the Digimon.
It suddenly had one less tentacle.
Sean fell at a break-neck speed, feeling his heart stop, and his stomach larch. Then he suddenly landed on a Digimon with a wumph.
He saw Alana in front of him.
“So good for you to drop in,” she said, then smirked. “Kill ‘em, CyborgBladeramon!”
The Digimon nodded, then dropped the two kids off, and rushed out back into the mess of Digimon and people.
There was a sudden yell of, “SPIKE CANNON!” and spikes flew out at the different Digimon.
Suddenly a Digimon came up behind Sora, but she didn’t notice. Alana ran toward it, on the way reaching down and grabbing a spear that had just missed Vinellamon by a centimeter.
“Get ‘em Birdramon!” she yelled, balling up her fists.
Alana jumped onto the Digimon’s back and stabbed it through the head with the spear. The Digimon went down like a tower.
“Watch out, Sora!” the blond yelled, and Sora looked behind her just in time to see the large ogre-like Digimon come crashing down.
She jumped out of the way just in time. Alana was flung from the Digimon’s back right when it landed.
She was then shot by an attack, “SPIREL SHOCKWAVE!” the Digimon that had shot the attack at her smirked, then shot at her again. Alana went flying back into the brick wall. Another time. Another.
She couldn’t breath. Her mind was going black. She was dyeing. Then a sudden yell caught the Digimon’s attention. It was Angewomon.
“Over here you big ugly spider!” she shouted. “Yea, I’m talking to you, you trash-can lid!”
The Digimon stopped its attack, and turned on the Angel-like Digimon.
“Bring it on!” she yelled.
The Digimon hissed, and launched itself at Angewomon.
But, unfortunately, the female Digimon was ready for it. “HEAVENS CHARM!”
All the Digimon in the room grew stronger, and yelled their attacks.
“ELECTRO SHOCKER!” Kabutarymon yelled.
“HARPOON TORPEDO!” Ikakumon growled.
“NOVA BLAST!” Graymon growled.
“HOWLING BLASTER!” Garurumon howled.
“MISSTLE LAUNCH!” Targetmon cried.
“SPIKE CANNON!” Vinellamon hissed.
“HAND OF FAITH!” Angemon shouted.
“BUBBLE CLAW!” Mikagemon hissed.
“STONE-BLADE SILENCE!” CyborgBladermon screamed.
“MITIOR WING!” Birdramon cried.
“NEEDLE SPRAY!” Togamon yelled.
“ICE SHARDS!” Kireamon growled.
“SONIC BOOM!” Kopimon shouted.
“TIDAL WAVE!” Tilithmon growled.
All the attacks were sent to Angewomon, who made an arrow out of them, and sent the arrow at the Digimon with the yell of, “CELESTIAL ARROW!”
The Digimon collapsed, causing the entire castle to shake.
Everyone looked around. It was silent. Silent like death. A lot of the Digimon that had been fighting against them had been turned to stone.
“Creepy…” Mimi said. “How’d they all get turned to stone?”
Alana and CyborgBladeramon glanced at each other. Then Alana spoke. “One of my Digimon’s main attacks is Stone-Blade Silence. When she directs it at someone, or something, it turns to stone.”
Tai shivered. “I’m glad she’s on our side.”
Most everyone agreed.
“We may not be through yet,” Nathan said, looking around. “I still sense somebody else in this place,” he shot a look at Alana and CyborgBladeramon. “I want you two to check it out. If you see anyone, you know what to do. We’ll all go out in groups of--”
Someone yelling from above the kids and their Digimon cut off Nathan. Alana squinted. The voice sounded familiar. She just couldn’t place it…
The yell began to grow closer and closer then everyone saw a boy shooting toward the hard stone floor of the entrance hall.
The boy landed with a smack on the floor.
Mimi cringed. “Oh, ouch.”
Sora nodded. “That had to of hurt…”
The boy moved slightly, then Alana recognized him.
“KYLE!” she yelled, and ran to the figure on the floor. She skidded to a stop, and lifted his head after rolling him on his back.
Mikagemon began to shout happily. “Kyle! Yay! Kyle’s back!”
The Digimon also ran over.
Alana looked him over. He had no bruise on him, but he wasn’t breathing.
“Oh, God. Don’t die on me! You just got back! Don’t die! Please!” she yelled, her eyes tearing up at the way that Kyle didn’t move. “Oh, please…please don’t die on me!”
Suddenly, Sean walked over to her. He knelt down beside her. “You can heal him, Alana,” he whispered. “I know you can. Just believe in yourself.”
Alana felt the tears flow down her face as she held Kyles limp body. “I…can’t…” she sobbed. “It’s impossible…” she hiccuped.
“No, it’s not. You can do it. I know you can. Just believe in yourself. You have to protect this world. You can make him come back. You’ve done so well up to now in this world. Please, Alana. I know you can…” Sean withdrew his hand from her shoulder. “Just believe in yourself, and you can do anything.”
Alana closed her eyes, and turned around. Everyone was fading from sight. What was going on?
The girl stood up from shock. “Sean?”
Her voice echoed around her. “Anyone? Hello? Hello?!” no response. She stood alone in darkness. Everything around her was black.
She turned and looked at Kyle’s body. Alana knelt down beside him, and lay her hand where his heart was. She closed her eyes, and thought to herself; I can do anything, if I just believe. I can do it.
She began to pull all her power to her mind, and began to see Kyles heart. It wasn’t beating. In fact, it was cold and still. Her eyes were closed tight, and she began to feel the power surge to her hand and fingers.
Then with Kyle’s first breath, she was shot back into the world, where her eyes opened in a single swift movement.
Kyle coughed, and his eyes slowly opened. When he saw Alana, he blinked, then asked in a soft voice, “Did you do it? He said that if you could heal me, I’d come back to life…if it isn’t you…then are you an angel?”
Alana smiled, and a tear rolled down her face. “Kyle…” she hugged him.
Kyle returned the hug.
“Sorry to say,” Nathan said. “But, we need to get this act on. We still need to find the others.”
Everyone nodded.
“As I was about to say, now that there’s thirty of us, we can go in groups of ten around the castle and find out what happened to the others. If we find them, we can destroy them, got it?”
Everyone nodded again.
“But, that only gives us three groups.” Sora said.
“So?” Justin asked.
“So, we’re looking for four people, right?” she replied.
Nathan nodded. “I know. But, if we take and make another group, then we have less of a chance of living through this, because one group will be weaker.”
Sora nodded. “I get it. And when we find and destroy,” she shivered, “the three that we find, we can figure out who the last one is, and get them.”
Tai grinned. “Yea, what she said.”
Nathan nodded. “That’s exactly what I was getting at.”
The group of thirty separated into three groups of five humans and five Digimon.
Alana, CyborgBladeramon, Sean, Kopimon, Kyle, Anthylamon (yes, she DigiVolved), Mimi, Togamon, Joe and Ikakumon went as one group, and began to search the lower floors of the castle.
Nathan, Vinellamon, Val, Tilithmon, Kari, Angewomon, T.K., Angemon, Sora, and Birdramon looked on the main floor, and the first floor above that.
Then the last group was made up of; Izzy, Kabutarymon, Tai, Graymon, Matt, Garurumon, Justin, Targetmon, Felina and Kireamon. The final group looked on the upper floors.

Mimi was the first to spot someone.

“Look!” she yelled pointing at a shadow that was just down the corridor.
Alana and the others turned and ran around the corner. They had found Jessica and Shantamon. But, it wasn’t the way they’d thought they would.
Jessica had a horror stricken look on her face, and so did her Digimon. But, Shantamon was on the floor, staring up at the ceiling, and Jessica was looking forward.
“What happened to them?” Sean asked.
CyborgBladermon shook her head. <’I promise, this time it wasn’t me who did it. When my victims are frozen, they don’t look alive.’>
Alana nodded, then waived her left hand in front of Jessica. “It looks like they’ve been frozen.”
“No,” said Sean, “It looks like they were watching a horror movie, the they were paused.”
Alana smirked. “Yea, but whatever did this to them might still be around here somewhere.”
“No,” said Kyle. “Whatever did this is dead.”
“How do you know?” Joe asked.
Kyle pointed down the hall, where a Digimon lay wounded.
“Hey, that’s Gathomon!” Alana yelled. She raced down the hall before anyone could stop her.
She stopped and knelt down beside the large wolf-bat Digimon. “Gathomon?” she asked, her voice full of fear. “Gathomon, are you okay?”
The clop-clop of CyborgBladermon’s hoofs came close behind the blond.
The Digimon turned his head, and looked up at Alana with sad eyes. “I tried to stop her…” he choked, and some blood escaped his mouth. “Judi…she froze Shantamon and Jessica for them trying to escape…” he coughed again, and he rolled his eyes. “She also froze Zach and Ninjeriamon. Same with Heather and KuraiGatomon.” He coughed again.
“Are they…dead?” Joe asked from behind Alana.
The Digimon managed to give his head a weak shake. “No, only frozen. When Judi leaves this world, they’ll come back to life.”
“Where did she go?” Kyle asked in a soft tone.
Gathomon looked up at him. “I thought you were dead, Holder of Belief…”
Kyle shook his head. “No one kills me that easily.”
The Digimon smiled, then his head collapsed.
Tears streamed down Alana’s face, and landed in his dark fur. “Gathomon…please wake up…”
Gathomon began to decintigrate from his tail up to his face. Alan had still been holding him.
Mimi also began to cry. It was a dark day that the Digimon died in that moment.
“We must try and find Judi,” Joe said, wiping the tears from his eyes. “Remember, only when we find her will we be able to win.”
Alana nodded, and stood up. “Let’s end this. Now.” She turned and began to walk down the hall the way that they had come, the others following her closely.

Suddenly, T.K. yelled at the others. “Hey everybody! There’s someone down there!” he pointed to a room where two people were hiding behind a door.

Nathan and the others went into the room, and looked around.
Kari pulled the door away from the two people, and gasped. It was Heather and KuraiGatomon! They were both frozen, and looked like they were trying to hide from something.
Kari stepped back from shock, then said, “They’ve been frozen.”
“Are they dead?” Sora asked.
Kari reached over and touched KuraiGatomon’s face. She could feel a little bit of heat from her fur.
The girl shook her head. “No. I think they’ll be like this until we kill whatever did it to them.”
Nathan nodded. “Let’s get going. We need to find Alana and her group.”
“No!” Vinellamon hissed.
“What?” Nathan asked, blinking.
“We must wait back in the main hall for the others to return. Otherwise we’ll get lost.”
Sora nodded. “He’s right.”
T.K. looked afraid, very afraid. He and the others then turned and headed back to the hall.

Izzy blinked as the group of ten wandered higher and higher. The higher they got, the brighter the castle seemed to get. And it was no wonder. Large windows opened into the hall and sunlight exploded in, washing the upper floors in a golden light.

“We still haven’t found anyone,” Tai said. “What if the others are fighting?”
“They aren’t.” Matt replied. “We’d know, believe me.”
“Shhh!” Felina hissed, she then pointed to a shadow that was coming from inside a room up ahead. “Someone’s in there!”
Justin motioned for the others to stay put, then he walked down the rest of the hall with out making a single noise.
He then turned and looked into the room.
Justin yelped, and jumped backwards from shock. Targetmon and the others were down with him in an instant.
Izzy looked in then gasped. “It’s Zach and Ninjeriamon! And they’re frozen!”
“What happened to them?” Felina asked, looking on with shock.
Matt reached out to feel the Digimon’s face. It was still warm.
“They’re still alive.” He said.
“Whatever did this must still be in the castle somewhere. We should get back to the main hall and tell the others.”
Kireamon nodded. “I agree.”
The group imeaditly went back to the first floor.

When all three groups were present, everyone began to talk at once.

“Wait! This isn’t working! Each leader of the groups tell what happened!” Nathan yelled, making everyone stop dead. “Ok. Alana, what did you guys find?”
“We found Jessica and Shantamon. Both were frozen. And…” she hesitated, but then continued. “We found Gathomon. He was dying.”
Nathan nodded, looking sincere. “Our group found Heather and KuraiGatomon, also frozen. What did you guys find?”
Tai looked at his group. “We found Zach and Ninjeriamon. They were frozen too.”
“What could have done this?” Nathan murmured, then he looked at Horkamon (the Digimon had gone back to Rookie stage).
“I didn’t do it, I swear!” she said. “If I had done it, I would know!”
Nathan nodded. “And you said that Gathomon was dying?”
Alana nodded. “But, he said that Judi was the one who did it to Jessica and Shantamon for trying to escape. My bet is that that brat is around here somewhere still, trying to hide.”
“On the contrary, I’m right here.”
All heads turned to see Judi standing in the doorway at the backside of the hall. “Now, I must tell you, that, yes, I did freeze them. All of them.” She smirked.
“What happened to you?” Kyle asked, blinking.
“What happened to me?” Judi asked, blinking.
“You look…older,” Kyle replied.
“Yes, unfortunately, I cannot stay at the age of ten forever. Though, the age of twenty suits me, don’t you think?” Judi spun around once, then smiled. “Ah, I see you could care less. Well, princess, in that case, I shall keep this palace. I have grown fond of it over the past thousand years…” she smirked, turned and was gone.
“What?!” Kyle yelled in shock.
“After her!” Nathan yelled, and the entire group ran after Judi. When they reached a door at the end of the passageway, Nathan rammed into it, throwing it open. It was a throne room. On the floor in front of the throne was Judi’s cape and the cloths she’d been wearing.
“Where is she?” Sora asked.
Alana saw a computer, then growled. “She’s gone.”
“What do you mean by gone?” Tai asked.
Alana pointed at the computer.
Kyle growled, and ran toward it.
“Wait!” Alana said sharply.
“Why?” Kyle growled.
“Look.”
The computer exploded, showering the kids and Digimon with glass and plastic.
“Oh,” Kyle said, then blushed.
“Well, it looks like we’ve won this one,” Sean said, then grinned.
Alana nodded, and smiled. “Let’s get out of here.”
Everyone nodded, and the group turned and left the castle.

A day later, something happened that changed the way everyone saw peace.

Sean looked over at Alana with eyes full of tears. “I have to go now, Alana.”
“What? Why?” she asked.
“The stones you used are only good for me to live for three days. My three days are up. So, I’m being pulled back to the other side.”
“No! You can’t go! I only just got you back!” Alana yelled, grabbing him.
Sean felt the tears in his eyes roll down his face. He gently pulled the blond away from him. “I have to. I can’t stay here any longer.”
“But why?” Alana sobbed. “I just got you back! Can’t you stay for a little longer? Please?”
“No, Alana, I can’t. I have to.”
“But…that’s not fair! It’s just too soon for me to say good bye again!” Alana felt her head pound from the pain that was being inflicted on her heart. “Please! Don’t go!”
The others stood nearby, watching with sad eyes as Alana begged Sean to stay.
“We never got to become closer friends! You can’t go! I won’t let you! It’s not fair!” tears of silver rained down from her eyes. “Please stay!”
“I can’t. Alana, you of all people know I can’t. Fate won’t allow it.”
“Why does he have to bother everything?! Why can’t he let you stay?! Why?!” she sobbed. “Please! Just for a little while!”
“Alana, Listen to me,” Sean said, grabbing her by her shoulders. “I can’t stay. Besides, you already have someone who loves you.” Sean’s smile wasn’t fooling anyone. One the inside, he felt torn that he was being forced to leave. “Please, Alana, Kyle loves you. You know he does, and if I stay, then I’ll just be messing with the fabrics of Fate.”
“No! I don’t care! You can’t go! Please! Don’t go!” Alana was sobbing against his shirt. “Please don’t leave me again.” She whispered.
“I have to,” Sean lifted his hand, and cupped Alana’s face with his hand. He then lifted it so that his eyes looked directly into hers. “I have to.”
“No…please…” Alana begged and a silver tear slid down her face. “Please don’t go…”
“I have to,” Sean then lightly pressed his lips against hers. The kiss was sweet, but it made Alana feel like she was dying on the inside. When Sean pulled away, he looked at her with sad eyes. “I love you, and never forget it. Kyle loves you, as well. Don’t forget that love is what a person needs to contain their hatred. Good bye, Alana Date’.”
Sean began to float upward, and also began to glow a brilliant white color. Feathery white wings exploded from his back, making his glow that more beautiful. “Never forget that I am always with you, Alana,” he said, then began to fly away into the evening sky.
Alana dropped to her knees, tears had begun to stain her face red as she cried and cried.
“Sean! No! I…NO! Don’t leave me! PLEASE! DON’T LEAVE ME!” her voice was worn hoarse before she stopped crying.
The others all stayed with her, every one of them crying out the tears that they had held inside from the first hardship of the battles they had been through.
The scene fades out to black.

Weeks had passed, and a man and a woman had found Felina. The man ran over to her, followed by the woman. Both were dressed in white robes.

Alana blinked then smiled. Felina’s mom and dad. It turned out that Felina had become the princess of the Digital World, and on her day of coronation, everyone was invited.
Alana and the rest of the DigiDestened showed up for it. The Crystal Kingdom had been rebuilt, and the crowd of Digimon and guards was emense. Jessica, Heather, and Zach also showed up. After the parties had ended, most of the kids returned home. All, that is except Alana.
Felina watched with sad eyes as Alana left the palace, followed by Horkamon. Felina knew that she still missed Sean very much, and might never see Kyle again, but she hoped the best for her friend.
