Chapter 41: A Broken Heart

(by Melissa, added on 19 June 2002 09:15 PM)

***3 Hours after party had started****

Note: The party was kept in the basement!

The guests came with tons of gifts to exchange. First Tomoyo and Eriol presented beautiful parcels. Tomoyo and Eriol both brought what they had intended to--clothes, jewelry and a stuffed plush resembling Kero. Syaoran also gave Sakura a gift. The pink bear. Sakura of course loved it to death and as usual scarcely noticed the unusual redness in his face. After making a speech, the real party had began. Heather was there also but was only there for half an hour.

Sakura stood by the buffet table socializing with classmates and friends.

The room was filled with conversations, laughter and music. Lights from the disco lamps flickered and the atmosphere just said party. Sakura even made room for a karaoke bar. A girl named Kyomi was singing Jingle Bells.

Before her, Sakura sang Complicated by Avril Lavinge, Syaoran had sung Without Me by Eminem, Tomoyo sang A Thousand Miles by Vanessa Carlton, and Eriol sang Hero by Nickleback. Of course in Japanese translations.

People sang a long cheerfully as they got into the spirit of things.

Sakura stood drinking some fruit punch and eating some chips. She stood for a while and then noticed someone sitting in the far corner, alone, by him or herself, by the Christmas tree.

Sakura decided to go over and see what was wrong.

"Hey what's wrong?" Sakura asked and then gasped when she noticed it was Syaoran.

***Syaoran's POV**

I sat by the tree alone by myself. Then Sakura came and sat beside me. I blushed, "Hey." I said not knowing what else to say.

Normal POV

"Syaoran why are you alone?" Sakura asked in concern.

Syaoran shrugged," I dunno. Yamazaki is with Chiharu, Eriol is a freak....I don't really know anyone here....I don't really want to talk to anyone I don't know so--"

"But Syaoran, I am here. you could have just talked to me." Sakura said gently.

Syaoran blushed. "I guess..."

Suddenly, the lights dimmered and Touya the DJ stood saying a couple of words in a deep mellowish tone which was so very unusual for him.

"Now we'll dimmer the lights and heat up things a bit....now slowly grab your partner and get ready to slooow dance..."

"H-Hoe??" Sakura sweat dropped, embarrassed because Touya was attempting to sound like a real DJ and surprised because of what he said.

Suddenly the room was dark and a Japanese version of the song Cry by Mandy Moore rang like a gentle melody from the stereo.

Syaoran's POV

I turned to gaze at Sakura who was not looking at me but ahead of her. I gazed at her as she looked beautiful in the dark and the light silhouetted her delicate face. I felt a longing to touch it, to feel the softness but decided not to. Sakura then turned to look at me, her eyes glittering like stars. Her hand was just millimeters from my reach. She smiled at me. I felt my face turn hot as her beauty radiated onto me. I slowly looked up to see if there was the slightest branch of mistletoe above us, but it was wishful thinking for the only thing there was the star from the Christmas tree. My heart beat faster and faster and faster as she stared into my eyes, and I stared back into hers.

"S-S-Sakura," I began not wanting to hold back. I had to tell her, I had to tell her now.

"Yes Syaoran?" Sakura asked quietly.

~In places no one will find,~ The song played in the background.

I looked at her gazing into her eyes wondering if I should tell her.

~All your feelings so deep in side,~

"Sakura, I-I..."

~Was then that I realized, that forever was in your eyes...~

"Sakura, I..." I continued shyly.

~The moment I saw you cry...~

"Sakura, I love---"

"Kinomoto-chan!"

Before I could continue three tall boys appeared, one with black hair, one with dark brown hair and scar, the other with dirty blonde hair.

Sakura immediately stood up and shook his hand. "Oh! Hey! Ki Takashiru! Shi Yachumi! Nasaki Machiru!" Sakura greeted happily. "Glad you could make it!"

I stared in devastation, I almost got to tell her how I felt, then they come along!

Normal POV

"Great Party Kinomoto-Chan! Them tofu rolls are the bomb!!" said Yachumi smiling.

"And you look hot tonight!" said Michiru flirtatiously giving her a tiny wink. Sakura blushed and giggled.

"Arigato.." Sakura said her face turning red. Syaoran also felt his face turn red---but in jealousy as he helplessly sat watching.

Suddenly another song was playing, this time it was Get This Party Started by P!NK.

"OMG!! I LOVE THIS SONG!!!" Sakura squealed cheerfully.

"Well then, hotstuff, what do you say we go and rock this party?" Micheru asked flirtatiously again.

"What do you mean?" Sakura asked in confusion.

"He wants you to dance with him." Takashiru translated.

"Oh..." Sakura stood for a minute trying to comprehend. "Sure!"

Sakura and Micheru danced up a storm, twirling spinning and jumping up and down.

Then that song ended and the song What we Live for by Sum 41 boomed into the room.

~ROCK! IT'S WHAT WE'RE ALL ABOUT! IT'S WHAT WE LIVE FOR! WE WANNA SH OUT IT OU T!!~

Everyone was dancing and jumping like wild, Sakura and Micheru being the main attraction.

Suddenly Eriol and Tomoyo were caught frenching under the mistletoe. Everyone howled with laughter, for Eriol had often denied liking Tomoyo.

Although with all the excitement in the room, Syaoran still sat alone in the corner, pissed, angry and heart-broken.

'If only I told her sooner! I hate that stupid Nasaki!!' Syaoran muttered to himself angrily.

***After PArty***

Nearly every1 had left and the house was a mess. Sakura decided to start cleaning after all the people left.

The ones left were Tomoyo, Eriol, Syaoran, and Micheru.

"So Tomoyo I thought you didn't like Eriol." Sakura said slyly. "And I though Eriol said he had a crush on our teacher Kaho..."

Tomoyo and Eriol blushed glancing at each other from the side of their eyes.

"We didn't mean too..." Eriol began shyly.

"Yes Eriol, your lips 'accidentally' touched...." Sakura said sarcastically.

"Um...Sakura...I got to go home now bye!" Tomoyo said quickly dashing out the house.

"ME too!" Eriol said racing behind her.

Syaoran still sat quietly in the corner not speaking, not moving.

Sakura turned to look at Micheru.

"Well, um, goodnight.." Sakura said blushing slightly.

"Good night, my kawaii cherry blossom." Whispered Micheru into her ear, again flirtatiously.

Sakura's face flushed red. A strange feeling came to her.

Suddenly Micheru kissed her gently on the cheek.

"Good night." he said winking and he sauntered away.

Sakura's eyes widened with shock and she followed after him.

"W-Wait Micher--er--Nasuki-kun...call me?" Sakura called after him. He turned around and smiled handsomely.

"I will, since we're, you know...together. Maybe we could go out sometime.." and with that he walked away again.

Sakura couldn't' believe it! Together? Was she considering her as a girlfriend? Sakura couldn't believe it. She had a boyfriend! She raced inside and sighed as she fell upon the couch.

"Wow! What a guy," She sighed dreamily.

"What guy?" said an angry voice.

"T-Touya?!" Sakura squealed in panic.

"No, but close..." said the person.

Sakura glanced around and saw Syaoran behind her.

"Y-You're still here Syaoran??"she asked in surprise.

"Ya...but I guess you didn't notice me here..." Syaoran grumbled in rage as he stormed to the door.

"W-Wait! What were you trying to tell me before?" Sakura asked trying to grab his hand to talk with him.

Syaoran shoved her hand away.

Tears poured down Sakura's eyes, "Syaoran please! What's wrong?"

"Forget it! It wasn't important!" he shouted in frustration as he opened the door and slammed it shut.

Sakura stared in shock, tears still running down her eyes, not understanding what happened. Touya came worriedly from the kitchen.

"What happened? "he asked in concern.

"I-I don't know..."

Sakura stood silently not sure what to think or feel. Wondering whether she should stay or just follow him.

**With LI***

Syaoran felt tears stream down his face. He hadn't cried in years, and was surprised to feel them. He felt deep anger. He felt bad for taking it out on Sakura by shouting back there.

**Flash Back**

"Y-You're still here Syaoran??" Sakura asked in surprise.

**End Flashback***

But he felt so much pain. Sakura didn't love him, she never did, she never will, he thought to himself. 'what was I thinking? What's the point of love? It only leads to more heart-break! Why? Why does it have to be this way?'

Suddenly a song echoed in his head,

~~In places no one will find,

All your feelings so deep in side,

Was then that I realized, that forever was in your eyes.....

The moment I saw you cry...~

Chapter 42: Mad ness and Confusion

(by Kawaii Chibi, added on 20 June 2002 08:25 AM)

Sakura was on her knees and hands, crying hard, as bitter tears flowed down her flushed features, staining the soft carpet and making her trembling hands rash.

‘Syaoran-kun…’ she sobbed, her emerald eyes glistening with tears under the dim lights.

Touya and Yukito hurry over to her, and help her uneasily to her feet.

‘What’s wrong, Sakura-chan?’ Yukito said alarmed, shaking her a little to get her to look up at them.

‘Sy-Syaoran…’ she croaked, still sobbing.

‘Sakura, tell us what’s wrong?!’ Touya said exasperated, looking very worried.

‘I-I-I don’t know…he just stormed off…what did I do to make him angry with me?’ she lunged forward, falling into Touya’s arms and broke down completely.

Yukito and Touya exchange confused looks and shake their heads.

‘Why do you think he did that?’ Yukito said softly, placing a hand on her head.

‘I-I…’ Sakura stopped, leaned her head around to look up at the mistletoe. ‘…?’

‘What is it?’ Touya said, looking down at his little sister with a scowl, ‘Did that brat hurt you again?’

‘He didn’t Touya!’ Sakura retorted, her voice trembling, hot tears stilling rushing down her cheeks. ‘He’d never, ever hurt me!’ she yelled defensively, believing Syaoran was the perfect gentleman.

'What’s going on, ne?’ Mitzuki wondered into the room to see them all looking strange, ‘What? Have I missed anything?’

‘Your baka of a brother was mad at Sakura and stormed away.’ Touya explained dryly.

‘I think he was in tears as well,’ Yukito added quickly, not wanting it all to seem Syaoran’s fault.

‘I’ll go talk to him,’ Mitsuki said simply with a shrug, ‘you can never estimate that little kid. He’s unpredictable.’

‘Like kajjuu here,’ Touya muttered to Yukito.

‘A perfect couple,’ Yukito chuckled with a sweat drop.

Sakura wipes her tears away, calming down and sighs deeply. ‘Syaoran…why would he do that?’

*

Syaoran slumps onto his bed in the dark room and cries on his crisp, freshly folded sheets. Blackness can be seen through blurry tears.

‘Why…how can she do this to me…?’ he sobbed thickly, sniveling miserably, his fists gripping the sides of his blanket tightly. ‘I ha-ate her! I hate her!’ he gasped at these very words and rose his head in shock, staring down at the tear-stained blanket, visible in the dark. ‘I…don’t hate her…I love her…’ he murmured, allowing several more tears to leak out.

‘Syaoran!’ he heard a voice call through the doorway, it was Mitsuki, she popped her head in with a smirk, ‘Aw…you’ve been crying? Such a widdle baby…’ she taunted playfully.

‘Get lost!’ Syaoran snapped, pummeling a pillow at the door and narrowly missing.

‘Calm down, baka,’ Mitzuki shot back, placing hands on hips incredulously, ‘I need to talk with you.’

‘About what?’ he said with a wide frown, but his voice failing him as he hastily wiped at more tears.

‘Sakura-chan was crying back there,’ she sighed, crawling over to his bed and sitting beside him, ‘she wonders what made you leave in such a strange way.’

‘I don’t care what she thinks,’ he snarled, crossing his arms furiously and glaring at the wall, ‘she can do whatever she wishes with her life. Even date guys she’s only known for a short time if she wants…’ his face immediately morphed into a saddened frown. ‘even if it isn’t me…’

‘Oh,’ Mitsuki gasped, placing a hand on her chest, looking very bewildered, ‘I didn’t know…’

He nods his head wearily, looking back to his sister with a sad smile, ‘So you’ve figured it out, right?’

She bobs her head in amazement, ‘You think it’s for real?’ her voice down-noted so that no one else in the house could here.

The light passing through the gap in the door was reflecting over his amber eyes and his smile grew slightly longer, but still sad. ‘Yeah…’ he breathed, ‘I do…’

‘Syaoran…’ his sister squeaked, taking her hand off her chest and balling them together, ‘My kawaii brother’s growing up so fast!’

‘Be serious,’ he said hotly, ‘this is no laughing matter!’

‘But, you haven’t told her yet? …And that would explain the tears…’

‘I didn’t want to make her cry!’ he yelped, looking very passionate about what he was saying, ‘but I’m too late…she already has a boyfriend…’

‘But that doesn’t mean it’s too late,’ she held up an index knowledgably, ‘why…you could tell her how you feel in private.’

He shakes his head in doubt. ‘She probably hates me now anyway…it wouldn’t have come in terms anyway…she doesn’t feel this way about me…’ his eyes grew watery again.

Mitsuki is touched by his compassion, his truth and how he didn’t deny his feelings. ‘Syaoran…you love Sakura-chan…’ she cupped a gentle hand on his shoulder, her eyes gentle and understanding.

‘But I’ll never have her as my own…’ his voice shuddered, his fingers covering his eyes in shame. ‘I’ll never be able to tell her what she means to me…’ he cried once again, his caring sister catching his tears.

*

Sakura feels a strange aura emitting from the neighbor’s home next door, coming from Syaoran’s room. She is lying under her feathery covers, staring up at the ceiling densely. She had been brought up to bed by Touya who was still very peeved at the kid for possibly offending his sister, even if he had had his hard knocks with her a few times.

‘Syaoran…’ she murmured, her green eyes blank and expressionless. She stops her ponderings, and lifts her top body up to stare out the transparent curtains and out the window. ‘Syaoran?’

Sakura hops out of bed, sneaking past the sleeping and snoring Kero-chan, and leans over to the window, peering out into the shadows. She can feel the energy shift; tears are flowing…

‘Tears?’ she gasped, her heart beating very fast. ‘Syaoran…crying?’

Then there was a great burst of red and angry energy. It startles her, and she falls to her bottom. She moans, rubbing her bottom and stands up again.

‘Yes…I can eat a thousand puddings…’ Kero droned in its sleep, snoring loudly.

Sakura ignores his indecent grunts and leers to the window again, pushing away the messy bangs of hair that warned to fall into her eyes.

‘Syaoran-kun,’ she whispered, vainly hoping he will be able to hear her across the windows.

But there is no response, only the continuation of the raging and great build up of negative energy.

*

Syaoran is roaring madly, banging his head with extreme force on the wall.

Mitsuki and the other sisters that had been woken up earlier and are watching in utter disbelief and shock at how their brother was handling his troubles.

‘What should we do?’ one whispered carefully, not wanting to overt his attention to them just in case he would use them as a punching bag.

‘Should we call mother?’ another gestured pointedly.

‘No, we have to be cautious…he is unpredictable…’ Mitsuki hushed them quickly, but not knowing what to do herself.

‘Why?!’ Syaoran screamed, his head throbbing in great pain, ‘WHY?!’ he shouted at himself and the world.

One final hit to the head, he suddenly stops. His head aches with unbearable pain and he finally collapses to the floor, his forehead grazed and bleeding. His whole world is spinning around and around, as he stares sleepily and dizzily up at the wall that he’d left a small smudge of blood on.

‘Xaio-Lang!’ all his sisters cried, running and kneeling down to him.

He doesn’t understand why, but he begins to grin broadly, smiling dementedly up at the wall, nodding as if he knew something it didn’t.

‘I know…’ he mumbled thickly, obviously oblivious to his sister’s attendance, ‘and you don’t…’

The wall swirled and shook a fist defensively, looking quite distorted in Syaoran’s effected views and the swelling of his skull.

*

‘Syaoran,’ Sakura repeated desperately, standing to her feet and leaning out closer, but his window was sealed shut. ‘No…he can’t hear me…’ she gave up, closing her window and burying herself in her bed, a wave of confusion spreading over her as she welcomed it. ‘Why were you mad…? What did I do that was wrong…?’ an image of the mistletoe materialized into her head, ‘Had it been something to do with it…?’

Chapter 43: Possible Possession

(by Kawaii Chibi, added on 20 June 2002 09:21 AM)

It is well after Christmas, and everyone has returned to school from their short Christmas holiday to welcome the new term.

Syaoran hasn't spoken to Sakura for the whole time, and Sakura wonders why.

'Sakura-chan...' Tomoyo was looking concerned as Sakura looked up. 'Why aren't you two talking?'

'I don't know...I have no idea what I did wrong and now he wont even look at me.' Sakura sighed sadly.

'Hey...' the boy from the other night greeted Sakura suavely, flicking his hair as if he was the coolest kid in the world.

Sakura frowns slightly, liking this boy, but there was something wrong with his position in her life. She really didn't see him as a "boyfriend" otherwise, but what was she to think, she was always confused about her feelings for anyone and everyone. And he had an interest in her, and she hadn't ever had a boyfriend so how could it hurt? She nods casually, and he walks away to take his seat.

Sakura then gasped as Syaoran appeared in the doorway and he slowly proceeded over to his seat, his face stern and emotionless.

Tomoyo watches him take his seat behind Sakura, he looks right ahead, as if Sakura was transparent. She sighs as Sakura's eyes grow watery, and she gazes down at her desk.

'Good morning, Li-kun,' Tomoyo greeted, trying to sound welcoming.

Syaoran's only response is a glare and a grunt, he looks away.

Sakura nods her head at Tomoyo; now she understands.

'Sakura-chan, I'll speak with you after class,' Tomoyo waved a hand, taking her seat as Terada Sensei walked in.

Tomoyo takes one more frightful look at Syaoran.

*

'I don't get it,' Tomoyo said indignantly, realizing for the first time, she hadn't the slightest idea why Syaoran was acting the way he was. 'He was acting perfectly normal before the party...'

Sakura nods sadly in agreement, staring down at her reflection as they sat at the fountain. The goldfish inside the water swimming around, chasing after each other.

'Sakura-chan,' Tomoyo said, her sapphire eyes glowing darkly, 'do you know what happened at the party, the other night?'

Sakura looks up at her with surprise.

'What happened, something that could possibly make him angry?'

Sakura lowers her eyes and thinks for a moment, then stares back up at Tomoyo. 'Maybe...maybe he didn't like the mistletoe?' she said with a slightly confused expression.

Tomoyo falls down, anime style then straightens up again, 'Um...no, Sakura-chan. I'm sure it wasn't that or something similar to that...'

Sakura thought again, 'Well, he did seem kind of lonely...and possibly isolated...' then she gasped, staring at Tomoyo in shock, 'And he was about to tell me something before...'

'"He"', Tomoyo said, gesturing over to the same boy who was supposedly Sakura's BF, 'was there and asked you to dance and interrupted before he could say something.'

Sakura gasps again, clutching Tomoyo's hands. 'Then, he must be angry because he was interrupted?'

'I think...so...' Tomoyo was feeling bewildered.

'Then I'll go talk to him then!' Sakura piped enthusiastically, slamming a hand into the other, her eyes sparkling with determination, 'I mean, he can't hate me for something like that, can he?'

Sakura hurries away, in search of Syaoran. She eventually finds him sitting up in his usual tree, observing and watching everyone else in action, playing games and talking around with friends. She looks up at him, hesitantly waving up at him.

Syaoran notices her, but his usual shy smile or reddened face wasn't the reaction, he only stared coldly at her, as if she were a foul creature from the dirt.

'Sy-Syaoran-kun?' she addressed him reluctantly, feeling extremely uncomfortable, 'C-Can we talk?'

He startles her by jumping from the tree and landing squarely in front of her, not wincing at the pain that was supposed to inflict when you land on your feet with straight posture.

Sakura watches in shock as he walks right by her, not looking back once, and soon he was far away, gone.

'Ho-Hoe...?' Sakura breathed, turning her head around and staring where he'd walked off. 'What's wrong?!'

*

Syaoran is stalking by Tomoyo who stares after him strangely. Sakura runs over to her, her eyes full of tears.

'I don't understand! He just looked right past me!' she cried, sounding very distressed.

'Let's follow him!' Tomoyo said, taking Sakura's hand and pulling her forward.

'B-But...he might want to be left alone!' Sakura panicked, tears flying from her eyes.

For the first time in her life, Tomoyo had never felt so determined to help Sakura with anything ever.

'We're going to get some answers from him! He can't just pretend she doesn't exist!' she thought to herself, 'Especially when he feels "that way" about her...'

*

Syaoran is standing near the road that separated their school grounds from the other side of the street. He began to lift a foot to step across it. The traffic zooming carelessly by. The horns blasting in and out of his ears. He didn't care; he was going ahead with it because he wanted to. But something suddenly stopped him. Something was controlling him.

'Syaoran-kun!' he heard a shrill voice scream from behind him.

He spun around, glaring ahead at the owner of that sweet ring of a voice. His eyes softened a little; it was Sakura.

'D-Don't go away!' she continued, no longer being pulled along by Tomoyo who was quite out of breath. 'I need to talk to you!'

His heart skips a beat, but his eyes narrow and he glares at her icily. His cold stare stung her heart, she didn't understand why he was doing this.

'Leave!' he snapped, swishing a hand to his side. 'I said LEAVE!'

'B-But, I need to ask you, why are you angry with me?!' Sakura exclaimed, tears streaming from her eyes, 'I'm sorry for upsetting you!'

'NO!' he roared, his eyes blazing with pure rage, 'LEAVE ME ALONE!' a blood-curdling scream was ringing loudly in his ears, his head pierced with the same pain from the previous night.

'Syaoran!' Sakura sobbed, running forward and shaking him violently, 'Listen to me! Please?!'

'STOP IT!' he screeched, shoving her away and holding hands to his ears as the scream grew louder.

'What's happening?' Tomoyo gasped, knowing it wasn't Sakura he was telling to be quiet.

Sakura could sense it, it was welling up inside of his head, growing louder and fiercely strong. It wasn't him of his own actions and he didn't have control of it.

'Release!' Sakura bellowed, summoning her staff, 'Time, freeze the moment! FREEZE!'

The screaming suddenly stopped, but Syaoran didn't. He snapped out of it, sweat beading his forehead as he took, hard and deep breaths. He looks weakly up at Sakura, panting.

'Syaoran-kun,' Sakura sobbed, Time still in control, 'What's happening to you?!'

'It's not me. Whatever I've said to you, I didn't mean it!' he warned, but then the strange presence appeared again as Time gave way.

'You,' Syaoran's voice was deep and rasping, 'will pay for his torture...'

Sakura didn't understand, 'But I didn't do anything,' she began with a quivering voice, 'What are you?'

'I am but one of his supporting servants...' the presence droned, Syaoran's eyes blank.

'A...a Moon-drop Card?' Sakura breathed.

He nods his head, 'You've tortured him long enough...witch...' it continued. 'And now you will pay dearly for his constant tears...'

'Crying?' Sakura said, feeling her own tears flowing. 'He was crying?'

'ARGH!' Syaoran growled demonically, launching himself at Sakura.

She falls backward, screaming in fear.

'SYAORAN!' she shrieked, holding her staff up to defend herself, 'DON'T LISTEN TO IT! FIGHT IT, SYAORAN!'

But Syaoran couldn't hear her; he wasn't there.

'If you want to free your dear friend, you must name me!' he snarled, advancing rapidly.

'Ghost! Apparition! Possession!' she attempted several times, dodging each punch.

He totted, slapping her hard around the face and landing in front of her again with a smug look. 'Pathetic...you don't deserve the cards at all...but my master here deserves all...' he kicked her in the side and she screamed shrilly in pain.

'SAKURA-CHAN!' Tomoyo shrieked, running and grabbing Syaoran weakly around the waist. 'LEAVE HER ALONE!'

He easily loosens her and sends her flying into a tree, and she lays unconscious.

'Sakura...' she whimpered, getting up again. 'Syaoran...please, don't do this...'

'Hah, a fair listener...but had you ever noticed?' he sneered, approaching her and scowling down at her madly, 'Never noticed the way he feels...?'

'Feels...?' Sakura whispered, looking dizzily up at him, 'Syaoran...what...?'

'Last chance!' he said, kicking her again in the rib, something went crack.

'ARGH!' Sakura screamed, shuddering at the immense pain in her side, 'Syaoran! Please! Stop it!'

'Never, say my name!' he ordered, kicking her again and again.

'SYAORAN! YOUR NAME IS SYAORAN!'

He pauses, his eyes widening and he stares at her in disbelief, 'Wh...What am I doing?'

'Syaoran...' she breathed, slowly smiling weakly, 'Is it you?'

'Wrong. SAY IT!' his eyes snapped back to madness.

'You're LYING! YOU LIE!' she cried, finally bleeding in the side of her body.

'NOOOOOOO!' he cried, a great red mist billowing from his body.

'Convert to Syaoran!' Sakura murmured, holding the staff and it changed to a green and returned to his pocket.

'SAKURAAA!' Syaoran screamed, kneeling beside her and lifting her in his arms and began cradling her as she slowly passed out.

*

'How could I...? How?!' he demanded to himself over and over again, he had ripped the Li Card in half and burnt it to ashes. 'I hurt her...I actually...hurt her...' he began to cry.

*

Syaoran had to use a memory charm on both Sakura and Tomoyo so they wouldn't hate him, but it was obvious that he still wasn't talking to her...
