Chapter 38: Other worries

(by Kawaii Chibi, added on 17 June 2002 04:49 AM)

Sakura is sitting patiently in her desk, awaiting for the teacher to walk in, call the role, then hand them their math test papers and she would begin...

'Hoe...' she sighed, butterflies floating around her stomach, 'I hope I can do this...'

'You will,' a friendly voice came from behind her. She turns around. 'You will pass with flying colors.'

Sakura smiles gratefully, 'Arigato, Syaoran-kun...' she turns back, her heart caught in her throat. Her thoughts drift to that peculiar poem the other day. 'I really want to know who wrote it...could it be...Yukito-san?' she liked the thought of that.

The teacher comes in, looking fairly frazzled; he wants everyone to pass for he favors all of them.

'Ehem. You may begin,' he said, slapping the role back on the pedestal and walked over to his desk to do some work.

Syaoran stares intently at the test paper; it is covered with very complicated looking questions. He rests his chin on a hand, tapping the pen and sighing.

Sakura is nervously scratching away with her blue biro, her writing slightly wobbly but decent enough to read. She feels a drop of sweat run down her forehead, she quickly wipes it away.

'Hoe...this is hard...' she whispered to herself, looking over to Tomoyo who was happily writing away; she'd always been good at math.

Syaoran was having a similar problem. With the girl he loves sitting in front, he doesn't know how to concentrate.

'All I can think about is her...but you can do this! You're a whiz at math...or at least you were before feeling this way...' he groaned quietly, squinting his eyes, the test paper resembling Sakura.

It continues this way for the rest of the session. They, of course, finish successfully, and shall find the test grade tomorrow.

*

'I was up all night studying!' Naoko moaned, being supported by Chiharu and Rika. 'I know I failed!'

'You'll do fine, Naoko-chan,' Rika giggled, winking at Chiharu.

Sakura walks between Syaoran and Tomoyo. She is feeling nervous, afraid she will fail, but Syaoran and Tomoyo's confidence in her skill make her feel a little comforted.

'Don't worry yourself...you have much more important things to think about,' Tomoyo said assuring, wiping a long strand of hair over her shoulder. 'You'll pass. Li-kun was helping you!'

Syaoran's heart skips a beat as Sakura smiles sweetly over to him.

'Thank you for your support, both of you,' Sakura sighed softly, beaming at them both. 'I know I'd have done very bad if you hadn't come in the first place.' she was now directing to Syaoran with gentle eyes. 'Thank you, Syaoran-kun.'

'I-It's nothing!' he gasped, placing both hands behind his head so that his elbows her pointing in the air. 'You're getting really good. I...'

But Sakura was suddenly looking very serious. They all stop.

'Do you...sense that?' Sakura whispered, narrowing her eyes.

'Yeah...' Syaoran nodded, sensing it as well.

Eriol clears his throat from behind them. 'You are doing well you two,' he said to Sakura and Syaoran with lowered eyes. 'But you are not yet familiar with my particular aura.'

Tomoyo laughs, skipping forward and clinging joyfully to Eriol's arm. 'We'll see you two later. Eriol-kun and I are going out for...er...l-lunch. I'll see you during Poetry studies. Sayonara.' and with that, the two lovebirds left two confused people behind.

Sakura and Syaoran begin to chuckle, embarrassed and relieved that it wasn't another card or new enemy then sensed.

'Well', Sakura started, waving her hand, 'Let's go and discuss our plans for the skiing trip coming up.'

Syaoran nods and they both walk over to the group to chat among many things.

*

To the joy of Sakura, everyone was able to go to the ski trip. But their worries at the moment were to complete school work before they enjoy themselves.

'Good afternoon, my young Mozart's,' the teacher snorted, nostrils flaring. 'We need to see all your completed pieces here. I'll take them after you mark your name down.'

Syaoran stops dead; he'd forgotten all about his poem.

'Speaking of which, Syaoran-kun,' Yamazaki sniggered, covering his mouth, 'We found this paper with the funniest poem about Sakura-chan written on it yesterday...you should have been there!'

'Silence, young man!' the teacher barked, then continued with the role.

Syaoran was beside himself (Though Yamazaki was physically beside him). His head in a nervous breakdown, he was wincing heavily.

'The poem...' he hissed, scribbling on a piece of paper, trying to think of something quick.

'POEM! MR. LI!' the teacher howled, furiously eyeing him.

Syaoran signs it quickly, handing it hastily to the teacher and sits back in his chair.

'Ooh, you finished it in one night?' Sakura mused, sounding impressed.

'Uh, yeah,' he shrugged, not looking at her.

Sakura began to giggle, remembering her poem. It was about a cute little wolf cub that fell in love with a pink rabbit. She didn't understand it herself, but then again, the teacher said it was to be about anything.

'Can I read yours later, Syaoran-kun?' Sakura asked.

'S-Sure! Just as long as I can read yours,' he said wearily, patting her hand off his shoulder.

Sakura smiles around herself, humming a song she'd heard on the radio called "Platina".

*

'Ugh! I hate poems! They are a curse!' Syaoran whacked banged his head on the wall in the male's bathroom, staring at himself in the blotchy mirror. 'Baka, baka, BAKA!' he scolded himself. 'I'm going to fail...' he groaned, beginning to sulk, 'So much for impressing her...'

'Impressing who?' Yamazaki piped merrily, his index finger suddenly erected in the air. 'Did you know-'

'YAMAZAKI-KUN! I MAY NOT BE ABLE TO ENTER THE YOUR RESTROOM! BUT I CAN HEAR YOU A MILE OFF! AND IF YOU EVEN THINK IF YOU CAN GET AWAY WITH A STORY BEHIND MY BACK, YOU'RE DEAD MISTER!' Chiharu hollered from behind the door, sounding very pissed off indeed.

Yamazaki flinches, is arms flapping around madly. 'I gotta go! Bye, pal!' he squawked like a giant parrot, zooming away as Syaoran stared after him.

'Right then...' he sighed, knowing he had to go out and face Sakura. 'Should I tell her it was me...?'

*

'Nice poem, Sakura-chan,' Rika giggled, handing her back the spare copy.

'Thanks,' Sakura said happily, handing the copy to Chiharu who was still a little annoyed with Yamazaki to read.

'Kawaii!' Chiharu looked much happier and handed it to Naoko.

Everyone who reads it thinks its cute, then finally it is Syaoran's turn to read.

Sakura begins to blush nervously, hoping he'll like it.

The poem:

Kawaii chibi wolf,

a walk he did go for.

Unto seeing the beauty of one

pinku usagi.

Thy love is true, though at first glance

he prays to the gods for a chance.

Will love be cherished, though obstacles there are?

In difference, in how much or so difference?

But as it is said, "love doth have no boundries".

So thy love shall pass.

Syaoran goes very red, it reminds him of himself and Sakura for his name meant wolf, and she was very cute, much like a bunny need it be said.

I-It's nice...' he muttered, handing the paper back.

'Thank you!' Sakura giggled, her emerald eyes sparkling.

'Y-Yeah...' he mumbled, rubbing the back of his head, comparing it to his poem.

'Hoe? You have your poem here as well?'

'N-No...I only had one copy...' he sighed.

'Oh...then later,' she seemed slightly disappointed, tucking her paper back into her bag.

'Ooh, Yamazaki-kun, Chiharu-chan gave you that bear, ne?' Tomoyo said.

Chiharu and Yamazaki both go bright red, looking at each other anxiously.

'Um...yes,' they both whispered, looking away shyly.

'It is a food now, right?' Naoko remarked with a sigh.

'But I thought you were supposed to name it after the person you...oh...' Rika breathed, suddenly looking amused.

Sakura looks around at them confused. 'What? What's going on?' she wondered, making a face.

Syaoran blushes at her cuteness, his amber eyes widening.

*

Sakura finally took Kero's advice; she would tell Yukito how she feels and give him the bear she made.

She waits out his door quietly after ringing his bell.

He answers, surprised when she presents him a bear.

'F-For you,' she mumbled, her fingers covering her eyes.

'Oh, thank you, Sakura-chan.' Yukito smiled, accepting it, 'what is it for?'

'I need to tell you something...' Sakura continued, facing him, her cheeks pink.

'Yes? What is it?' he said, beaming at her, his golden eyes shining behind thin rimmed glasses.

'I...I-I love you.' she stammered, her hands clasped together, 'I love you!'

His smile turns into a frown, his face resembling that of his other embodiment; Yue.

'You do not love me,' he said coldly.

'B-But I...do love you...'Sakura was shocked at his answer.

'No, you possess the love that of a sister. You feel the love for that is for your father.' he explained, his eyes growing gentle again. 'But I thank you for this bear...'

Sakura's eyes grew watery, 'Then you love another...'

'No. I do not have anyone on my mind, but all in good time.' he sighed, placing a hand on her cheek, caring for her like an older sibling. 'Someday, you will find someone who will think of the world of you...and he will love you as much as you love him.'

Sakura nods, eyes welling up, but she smiles. 'Th-Thank you...Yukito-san.'

*

Sakura has asked Syaoran to go for a walk with her to the Penguin Park. They sit on swings alongside each other.

'I...' Sakura began, her lips trembling, 'today...earlier...'

Syaoran watches her seriously, holding his breath.

'I told Yukito-san how I feel...' she croaked, gripping the swing handles tightly. 'he said I didn't love him that way...but that of my father...'

Syaoran shuts his eyes tightly, leaning his head against the handle, his heart feeling great pain.

'I don't want to cry in front of him...because then he'd know...' she gasped, as tears leaked out. She holds her hands out to catch them. 'I-I don't understand...why the tears are flowing...I'm happy for him...I really am...I understand...'

Syaoran struggles to his feet, then, taking a blue handkerchief from his pocket, holds it under her face. She looks up to him with shock.

'I knew,' he said with a gentle smile, 'I understand...'

Sakura also standing, accepts it. She steps forward and leans her head on his chest as he is taller than she is.

'Yukito-san...he said...I would find the person someday...and he would think the world of me...and love me as much as I love him...' she sobbed, heaving her shoulders, leaning weakly against his chest as the tears dropped to the ground.

Syaoran struggles against his own tears. He raises his arms slowly, enfolding them around her back and bringing her into an uncomfortable hug.

Though Sakura's face is hidden, her lips curl into a sad/happy smile.

'You'll find him...' Syaoran assured softly, holding her tighter, 'Soon...'

Chapter 39: Holiday Cheer

(by Melissa, added on 17 June 2002 06:54 PM)

Weeks had past and school was almost over. It was December

Sakura stood uneasily trying to hang the lights.

"SAKURA! YOU'RE HANGING IT ALL WRONG!!" Touya taunted.

"Shut up Touya! IF you hold the ladder steady, I could hang these better!" Sakura retorted angrily.

"Any moron could hang a set of Christmas lights onto a tree! It's not that hard!" Touya shouted back.

"IT'S NOT THAT EASY TOUYA!!!! MAYBE IF YOU WEREN'T BUSY FLIRTING WITH MITSUKI OVER THERE, YOU WOULD HOLD THIS LADDER MORE STEADY! WHAT DO YOU THINK?!"

Touya and Mitsuki blushed.

"Alright, alright! Enough you two!" Fujitaka shouted calmly from the kitchen.

The Kinomoto household was alive with the sweet smells and joyous spirit of the holiday season.

The Li family had come to help out and spend a little time to get to know each other a bit more.

Yelin was helping Fujitaka in the kitchen. Sakura, Touya, Syaoran, Mitsuki, and Leia(syaoran's other sister) were helping with the decorations. The other sisters were doing the cleaning.

"I love the holidays!" exclaimed Sakura passionately, "especially Shogatsu(New Year)!" Sakura sighed.

"Ahhhh," sighed Fujitaka, "hai...the new years most certainly is the most joyous time..."

"When is it?" asked Syaoran with interest.

"It's on the first of course! How could you forget?" Sakura asked.

"Well...we have a different new year...in case you have forgotten, I am from China..." Syaoran said simply.

Sakura blushed with embarrassment, "Um...yah...I forgot."

"So, dad, Li-sama, what are you making." Touya asked impatiently.

"Hmmm...let's see...dim sum, yasai, ahiru,  grilled sakana, gohan, hiyamugi and yakitori." said Fujitaka struggling to keep up with the boiling stove.

"MMMM! YAKITORI!!!" Sakura squealed with delight.

"Don't forget...we're making gyoza dumplings, chow mein, fried yam and crab." reminded Yelin.

"CRAB?? OH GREAT!! I LOVE OSECHI-RYORI!!"(New years food) Sakura beamed.

Sakura sat down on a sofa beside Syaoran whom was sipping a cup of hot chocolate.

"Ahhhh. I'm beat!" Sakura sighed whipping the sweat from her face.

"When is this party again?" Syaoran asked in question.

"Um...it's tomorrow!" Sakura said gleefully.

"Who's coming?" asked Leia curiously.

"Um, my friend Tomoyo and about half my class...I haven't given out all my invitations yet..."

"I see...." Syaoran responded obviously deep in thought.

"You know Sakura-chan, in Hong Kong we don't really celebrate Christmas as much as we celebrate New Years. It is a really popular Holiday back home." said Chang, Syaoran's other, other sister.

"Really? Same here. Most people I know don't decorate or anything...but I love the spirit of the season..." Sakura said sweetly.

"I hate it!" groaned Syaoran, "Well, the weather I mean. It's always cold and snowing and wet!"

"Oh well..." Sakura sighed turning to gaze out the window, "I think the snow is so beautiful. It's so heavenly and gentle...almost magical..."

Syaoran blushed," It is isn't it..." Syaoran said, although he wasn't talking of the snow...but of Sakura.

Sakura continued to stare out the window as Syaoran continued to stare at her.

Sakura stared dreamily, her eyes sparkling, "It's so magnificent, glistening and shimmering...."

"Like bright pools of emerald..." Syaoran sighed softly.

"What? Syaoran...snow is white!" Sakura said turning to stare at Syaoran.

"Oh...yah...snow...that's what I meant..." Syaoran said blushing a tiny bit, getting slightly nervous.

"Isn't it so lovely...I can just dance in it all day...twirling, dancing, playing..." Sakura stared out the window, then sighed. A tear slowly slid down her cheek.

"It reminds me so much of Yukito..." Sakura gently wiped away her tear. A look of concern appeared on Syaoran's face.

"Sakura..." he said gently trying to let her know he was there for her no matter what.

Sakura turned to look at him and smiled slightly.

"Thanks for being here for me Syaoran...its a good thing we're friends."

Syaoran smiled, their eyes lock, and for only a few minutes they just stare at each other, then look away.

Syaoran's sisters are in a far corner giggling intensely understanding very well what was developing.

Syaoran suddenly got up and walked away slowly to the kitchen leaving Sakura to gaze at the falling snowflakes through the window.

Syaoran sighed knowing Sakura only loved him as a really good friend, but nothing more.

Chapter 39: Dwindling thoughts

(by Kawaii Chibi, added on 18 June 2002 02:51 AM)

Sakura sat alone on the sofa, staring dreamily at the shining, pure white snow as it drifted gracefully to the ground. She reaches a hand into her pocket, retrieving a piece of paper that has Syaoran's poem that he had written near the end of school term. She unfolds it and reads it again.

*The way her beautiful eyes are presented like two precious jewels...

The way her lips curl into a sweet and tender smile...

The way her laughter rings like the many bells of a most sacred church, welcoming each passing hour...greeting.

Her hair shames their brilliance, that of the sun, the moon and the stars...

The universe all in its advance...it can not compare...

For only one is present in my heart...

She is that one. The love I feel for her...is undying and eternal...

I love her.*

Sakura's eyes grow watery again; it had been the sweetest thing she'd ever read.

'Syaoran-kun is so skilled in his choice of words...'

She didn't understand why, but the way it was written seemed relevant to the other poem written by someone who felt for her in a caring way.

She gasps, pausing on the thought of the word - Love.

'Love...' Sakura murmured, tucking the paper back into her pocket. She turns her head and watches Syaoran's sisters giggle around each other in the corner, while her father and Yelan tend to the food.

Touya and Mitsuki are making out behind the giant Christmas tree. She is tempted to go over there and tease them, but she hesitates, for she is preoccupied with thoughts of love.

Would she ever find this true, if not impossible feeling?

Her thoughts suddenly dwindle to Yukito. She had wondered if her infatuation had been the real thing but what he had said to her was the truth; it was the love for a father, a brother; not lover.

She takes a deep breath, growing more pleasant as Syaoran swept by in her memories. He had mistreated her earlier that year, but he was becoming more and more gentle every day...he was so thoughtful. He had offered her to confide in him if there ever to be a problem and she liked that feeling of contentment.

'Syaoran-kun,' she mouthed, gazing out the window once again, 'Why did he refer to the snow as green like emeralds?' she suddenly felt confused.

'Emeralds?' she repeated, shuffling around to look over at Syaoran who was sitting at the kitchen table, reading a manga. She notices the cover is Shoujo(Girl Comics...dont ask) and giggles. 'I never knew he was into that sought of thing.'

Syaoran is deep in his reading; the scene displayed before him is of a boy and girl confessing their love to each other.

'I...love you,' he breathed, reading along the lines. 'I love you too,' he said again, the girl had answered with a blush. And they hug tenderly, promising a lifetime of eternal love.

Syaoran, in frustration, snaps the manga shut, and groans gruffly, plopping it back onto the table, glaring at the front cover, (Which is the back cover in Japan).

'Syaoran-kun!' she chirped, staring admiringly at him, 'I never knew you were such a romantic! A little inspiration, ne?' she cooed, tapping a finger on the magazine and giggling.

'Y-Yeah, Sakura-chan,' he grunted, shifting uncomfortably in his seat. 'That sort of thing...'

'Ne, thank you for letting me read this,' she handed him back the paper, 'it would be wrong for me to keep it. It seems to hold great importance to you - and to that special girl...' her eyes grew gentle as he took it from her with a quivering hand.

His heart begins to beat faster than hoped for. 'Th-Thank you...' he stuttered, his face growing warm.

'Hoe, it must be too warm in here,' Sakura exclaimed, hurrying over to the central heating system and turning it down with the digital remote computing system. 'There.' she returned to him with a bright beam.

'So...' he sighed.

'So,' she mimicked, turning her head slightly to the side, resembling a very cute puppy. 'Who is this lucky girl?' a cheeky grin spread across her sweet face.

Syaoran lowers his head, 'Uh...' his fingers shadowing his eyes that were staring at her.

Sakura beams at him absentmindedly, slightly puzzled by his reaction but happy all the same.

'Ne, Syaoran-kun, you don't have to tell me,' she chuckled, suddenly startling him as she leant down and gave him a quick peck on the cheek.

'Wah!' he was suddenly frozen in position, ogling to his front.

Sakura gives him an enthusiastic hug and dashes off to the kitchen to see what else her dad has made.

His cheek tingles with her soft kiss, the sensation remaining, and he never wanted it to go away. He holds a hand to the side of his face, allowing the kiss to be absorbed, the pleasant feeling, it made him feel warm and then and there he told himself that he was going to tell her...soon.

Chapter 40: Sakura's Christmas party

(by Melissa, added on 19 June 2002 07:37 PM)

The school bells rang enchantedly as school had begun again. Sakura and Tomoyo sat in the classroom talking to each other.

"Yes! It's the last day of school for the holidays!!" Sakura said as she stretched as she sat at her desk.

"Well, you seem excited!" Tomoyo said with a sweet smile.

"Of course! No tests...no assignments...no kanji...."

"Sakura," Tomoyo began, "First of all, school will only be out from the December 24---January 5. That's not really that long. Besides Sakura, you can't get rid of kanji...we read it, we write it, it's our language."

Sakura groaned, "I know...but its sooo hard to learn all of them!!" (note: kanji are those Japanese characters instead of letters that we use)

"It could be worse! You can be in a cram school. And Well...if you think you've got it bad...what about Li-Kun? He doesn't understand Japanese as well as we do. I also heard that Chinese is a very complicated language. Even more so then ours!" Tomoyo indicated.

"Yah...I guess your right." Sakura sighed as she glanced at Syaoran whom was behind her reading.

Immediately Mazuki-Sensei, the language arts teacher, had walked into the room with a mysterious smile on her face.

"Ohayo students. Please take out your kanji and kana practice books." Kaho said immediately.

The class moaned and groaned angrily.

The day went on long and nearly endless as it often does. When it did finally ended though, everyone was glad for they were getting two weeks off school. Everyone excitedly raced out the school.

Sakura roller bladed with Tomoyo that afternoon with excitement bubbling inside her.

"I got get home real quick Tomoyo," Sakura said rollerblading backwards, "My party starts in two hours!"

Tomoyo gasped, "Then lets hurry!"

The two sped off; Sakura gliding down the street on roller blades, Tomoyo dashing behind her.

***1 Hour Later***

Sakura and Tomoyo spent and hour doing final cleaning and adding extra decorations for Sakura's Christmas party.

Touya, Mitsuki and Yukito had come to help Sakura with the party. Fujitaka was not home, and since Sakura was only 13, he did not want her to hold the party alone. Since it was Sakura's party, Touya and his friends were responsible for preparing the food and Sakura was just hosting it .

Sakura nodded with satisfaction eyeing every detail of the home.

"It's perfect!" Sakura said approvingly.

"And you look great Sakura!" Tomoyo said happily.

Sakura smiled, "I'm flattered! Arigato Tomoyo!"

Sakura wore a short green mini skirt, white high-heeled platform shoes and a thin silk-like red blouse. Her almost shoulder length hair was pulled into two pigtails with green bows fastening it. Her long side-bangs forming curls against her chin.

"You look pretty good yourself!" Sakura complemented to Tomoyo.

Tomoyo wore a white blouse with embordery of Christmas holly on the sleeves. She wore a long black silk skirt and white high-heeled sandals. Her hair tied into a fancy bun decorated with a large bright red bow.

Suddenly Sakura clapped her hands over her mouth in worry and she began to panic, "Oh crap! I forgot to remind everyone that we're exchanging presents! Oh crap! I forgot to say what time the party is over! Oh crap! I forgot to---"

"Sakura, don't worry! Stop panicking, everything will go fine. I told them to bring presents this morning remember?" Tomoyo said reassuringly.

"Oh yeaaah...thanks for reminding me." Sakura said calming down a bit.

"Okay, when are your stupid little friends coming over?!" Touya shouted intrudingly. He stood with messy hair, a butcher knife in his left hand and a white apron covered with red, brown, and green stuff.

"TOUYA! THEY ARE COMING IN HALF AN HOUR! YOU CAN'T LET THEM SEE YOU LIKE THAT!!!" Sakura screamed.

Yukito came out with his hair messy and his face covered in soot.

"W-WHAT HAPPENED?!! WHY ARE YOU COVERED IN BLACK?!!!" Sakura screamed again.

Yukito shrugged, "Mitsuki can't cook...she just burnt the rice and the cake..."

"I HEARD THAT!" screamed Mitsuki from the kitchen.

Sakura smacked her head, "NO! NO! NO!!!!!! THIS IS ALL WRONG! TOUYA GET YOUR GIRLFRIEND OUT OF THE KITCHEN AND MAKE HER JUST SERVE THE FOOD!"

"No way is my girlfriend serving your friends! She's not your maid!" Touya shouted back.

"Fine! We"ll put buffet tables!" Sakura decided, "But she's not cooking!"

Tomoyo pulled up her sleves, "Alright you guys. Calm down, Yukito and I will handle this..." she said making her way to the kitchen.

"I'll bake the cake, Yukito will deal with the finger foods." Tomoyo said as she headed to the kitchen, "unless he eats it all first."

Yukito blushed.

***2 Hours Later****

The House was sparkling and the decorations made the home even fancier. Bells, mistletoe ^.^, Christmas tinsel, hollies, and evergreen branches hung everywhere.

Touya was the DJ, Mitsuki in charge of cleaning, Yukito in charge of cooking.

Sakura sat on the coach, growing tense as she awaited for people to arrive. The first 2 to come was Syaoran and Eriol.

"Kinnichi wa! Syaoran, Eriol." Sakura greeted happily. Syaoran and Eriol bowed and entered after taking off their shoes and putting on slippers (Japanese custom).

"Wow Sakura-chan! You did a wonderful job with decorating this place!" Eriol commented with amazement, "Did you use magic?"

Sakura was surprised he asked that.

Was he questioning her abilities?

"Um...noo." Sakura replied.

Syaoran suddenly freaked out, yelped and turned red, "AHHHHH!"

"Syaoran what's wrong??" Sakura asked in worry.

"W-W-WHAT'S THAT?!!" Syaoran yelped again his face turning even more red as he pointed at a plant hanging from the roof.

"Oh that!" Sakura said giggling, "that's mistletoe! If two people are under it, they have to ki--"

"I KNOW!!!! I KNOW!!!!" Syaoran snapped quickly, not wanting her to say more.

Everyone other than Sakura and Syaoran  laughed out loud knowing exactly why he got nervous leaving Sakura rather confused.

Eventually more and more people came and the house was spilling with people. Many people came and some brought friends with them.
