Chapter 63: Another Weird Dream
(by Melissa, added on 24 July 2002 08:47 PM)
Sakura sat at her desk reading over her assignment
thoroughly.
"My Report, By Kinomoto Sakura. My report on an
important person is about
Akashi Yasushi. Akashi Yasushi is on the staff of the United Nations. In 1954,
he graduated from Tokyo University, and in 1957, after he went to Virginia
University for study, he joined the United Nations. In 1962, he became the first
Japanese to be chairman of the executive committee of UN Headquarters Staff
Union, and after he took some posts, he became the founder of United Nations
University, as head official of the organizing committee in 1972.
In 1992, he went to Kampuchea, as chief of UNTAC, and then he
was appointed as chief of UNPOFOR in Yugoslavia in 1993. As chief of UNPOFOR, he
tried to solve the civil war in Bosnia and Herzegovina not by military but by
political negotiation. The pressure to find a military solution kept growing,
but he never changed his attitude as neutral mediator until he left his position
in 1995. He is working in the United Nations till now." Sakura smiled
satisfactly. "This was definitely a good choice."
"Sakura-san, aren't you done your homework yeeeet??"
asked Kero eyeing the video game console beside him.
"No, Kero-chan. This is a very tough
assignment." Sakura said with seriousness.
"But you've been working on it aaaall day!" Kero
whined.
"Hai, I know. I spent an hour deciding who I would do,
three hours doing research, three hours writing the rough and now I'm re-writing
it." Sakura sighed getting exhausted.
"But your taking so long--why can't you do it tomorrow??"
"Because I am having a date with Micheru-kun and
well...I
won't have time. I have to do chores, then go on the date, then more
chores." Sakura sighed again.
Kero groaned. "Can't you just skip the date??!"
Sakura frowned, "No! The only reason why you want me to
finish this is because you want to play video games!"
Kero sighed dreamily, "I know--can I?"
"NO KERO!! I told you! I can't do my homework with any
distractions!" Sakura shouted with the tension and pressure of completing
the assignment.
"Well...if you just didn't go on MSN for so long, maybe
it won't take so long." said kero with a pout as he folded his arms.
"Well, I was only on for half an hour. Besides, Naoko-chan
was the one who reminded me. If I hadn't gone on, I probably would have never
remembered."
Kero sighed, "Fine. I'll just sleep."
After a few more minutes, Sakura had finally finished her
assignment.
It was about 10:30 and Sakura was terribly fatigued.
"I think I'll go to bed now." Sakura sighed and
fell asleep onto her bed.
*Li Residence*
Syaoran sat reading over his paper.
"Hmmm...I guess it isn't that bad."
Syaoran nodded with approval.
"But I wonder if a report on Bruce Lee is
acceptable?" Syaoran asked feeling uncertain.
"Well, I don't think the teacher will mind as long as
it's good. Let me read it." said Mitsuki who was right beside him helping
with his assignment. Mitsuki was the oldest of all the sisters, and when Yelin
was busy, she felt an obligation to help her little brother.
"Why?" Syaoran grunted. Syaoran had always felt independent
and always decided he didn't need any help. Many times though,
Mitsuki proved him wrong.
"Look! Just let me help you. Let's see, Bruce Lee,
report by Li Syaoran. Bruce Lee was born on November 27, 1940 in San Francisco.
His father who worked for the Cantonese Opera Company was Hoi Chuen Lee and his
mother Fun Fan Lee. At the age only three mounts Bruce played a role of the
"Golden Gate Girl." That was just a girl that was held by her father.
That was the start of the Bruce Lee's life. At the age of one his family moved
to Hong Kong that was the home of his family. There at the age of 12 he went to
La Sally Collage. When he was 13 Bruce was beaten up by a group of gangsters and
that was when he decided to start to learn "Kung Fu." He was training
under Sifu Yip Man master of the wing chun system of Kung Fu." Mitsuki
blinked after reading it.
"Not bad Xiao-Lang. It's a good choice but you've got a
few mistakes here you might consider revising. "Mitsuki said giving him back
the paper.
Syaoran groaned, "I'll never finish this stupid
project!"
Mitsuki shook her head, "Oh stop complaining! If you
weren't on MSN all day talking to your girlfriend you could have finished this
ages ago!"
Syaoran blushed. It was half true. He had been talking to
Sakura for a while, but she wasn't his girlfriend...at least not yet anyway. "Shut up! I only talked
for 30 minutes and she's not my girlfriend! Just go away Fuuu-tie!!"
Syaoran retorted.
Mitsuki froaned, "Why are you calling me Fuutie?"
Syaoran rolled his eyes, "Cause that's your name."
"Well, I thought we decided to call each other by
Japanese names since we're living here in Japan." Mitsuki asked.
"Yes, but you still call me Xiao-Lang! So I can call you
Fuutie to make it even!" Syaoran replied continuing to read his project and
writing more down.
Mitsuki sighed," It's just a name, besides, either way
it still means little wolf!" Mitsuki walked away leaving Syaoran by himself.
Syaoran decided to take a break and just have a nap.
-------------
Sakura stood at the altar of a beautifully decorated church.
She stood wearing a beautiful gown draped along her. Across from her was Micheru
who gazed upon her lovingly wearing an expensively stunning suit.
A priest stood before them with an admiring smile on his face.
"Look at this beautiful couple. Whoever believes these to should not be
joined together in holy matrimony speak now, or forever hold your peace."
Syaoran stood up with a serious look on his face.
"ME! I DO!" he shouted eagerly.
The crowd of family and friends gasped and turned to stare at
him.
"What words have you to say that should make this couple
separate?" asked the priest questioningly.
"Sakura! Don't marry him! He's going to cheat on you!
He's not right for you!" Syaoran hollered.
Sakura gasped, "Hoe? What do you mean Syaoran-kun??"
The priest shrugged, slammed his bible shut and walked
away leaving the church.
"He doesn't love you! He's only in it for looks and--"
"HOW COULD YOU SAY THAT?!!" screamed Sakura with
tears running down her cheeks, "I-I THOUGHT YOU WERE MY FRIEND!"
"Sakura-chan! I am--I love y--"
"NO! I DON'T WANT TO HEAR ANYTHING FROM YOU RIGHT
NOW!" Sakura screamed lifting her dress slightly so she wouldn't trip and
began to run away, "I HATE YOU! I HATE YOU! I HATE YOOU!!!!!!!! THIS WAS
SUPPOSED TO BE THE HAPPIEST DAY OF MY LIFE!" Sakura covered her face as she
ran and was gone in a flash.
"Wait Sakura! I--" but before Syaoran could
continue, Cerberos, Touya and Micheru were after him chasing him around the
church.
"DIE GAKI DIE!!" They all shouted at him angrily.
Micheru was running the fastest as he spluttered, "Omae o korosu! (I'm going to kill you!)"
Syaoran ran for his life, desperately attempting to flee for
safety.
Eventually all the guests were chanting it, "DIE GAKI
DIE!"
Syaoran was surrounded by the crowd, which kicked him and
poked him with sticks.
Syaoran hollered, then his world went black and he shouted his
last word, "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
-----------------------------
"AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!" Syaoran hollered as he sat up
quickly, sweat flooding his face.
"Woow!--what kind of dream was that?!" Syaoran
qustioned, "It was like a nightmare! I don't have nightmares!"
Syaoran
sighed and fell asleep again. Tomorrow was another day he told himself, who
knew what challenges would take him on.
If only he knew...

Chapter 64: Is He The Right One? (Part 1)
(by Melissa, added on 26 July 2002 12:20 AM)
Note: In case you didn't understand the last chapter let me
explain. When Syaoran's family came to Japan they all decided to call each other
by different names since everyone in Japan called Xiao-lang, Syaoran. So
Mitsuki's family call her Fuutie, they call Leia, Fanran- Chang is Sheifa-
Fei-Mei is...Fei-Mei. Syaoran's family call him Xiao-Lang. k?
*
Sakura sighed heavily as she sunk onto the ground loosing the
mop's handle.
"Oh...I'm tired...is it clean yet?" Sakura groaned
tiredly.
Touya inspected the entire living room from top to bottom.
"Hmmm." Touya shook his head. "No...there's a
speck right there. And there, and there." Touya said pointing in every
direction as he munched hungrily at his granola bar.
"TOUYA! COME ON! GIVE ME A BREAK!!" Sakura screamed
tiredly while lying helplessly on the glazed polished wood floors.
"Well, you haven't done a well enough job. You've washed
the dishes but you still have to mop the floor, make dinner and--"
"If you weren't dropping crumbs everywhere then maybe I
could have done better! Why do I have so many chores anyway??" Sakura asked
grumpily.
Touya took another bite of his bar, "Because, every other
Sunday you have to do your chores."
Sakura groaned, "But why so many this time?!"
"Because, you didn't do it last week when it was your
turn. I had to miss out on my part time jobs, a date with Mitsuki-chan and
hanging out with Yuki. So now, you owe me. Now, about this speck... right
here---I believed you missed a spot."
Sakura stood up grunting angrily, "B-But! This is not
fair! You are torturing me! You're purposely torturing me!"
Touya paused thinking to himself for a minute, "Now to
think of it, I guess I am torturing you on purpose. Well...Let's just say, payback
for having me do everything last week. Now, kaijuu, I'm serious...there is a
huge spot here that you haven't touched---and *sniff* I think you're crab rolls
are burning."
Sakura gasped in shock, then raced to the kitchen, slipped on
her oven gloves and flung open the oven doors, releasing a thick hurl of black
smoke around her.
Sakura coughing and panting ,waved away the smoke, revealing
the crab rolls which were now mere pieces of ash and hard black pieces of burnt
coal-like substances, "MY*cough* CRAB ROLLS! OOOHH! NOW I HAVE TO MAKE IT
ALL OVER AGAIN!!"
Sakura placed the roasting pan in the sink and collapsed onto
the ground where she cried endless tears anime style.
"THIS IS NOT FAIR!!! I-I*sob* CAN'T DO ALL THESE
CHORES!!!" Sakura sat bawling her large tear-soaked eyes out. She paused
for a minute and glanced at her watch. 2:30.
"AND I'M GOING TO BE LATE FOR MY DATE!!! THIS IS NOT
FAAAAAIR!!" Sakura squealed, kicking up her legs and wailing like a spoiled
4 year old brat.
Touya sighed as he entered the kitchen staring at his sister
with surprise "Sakura, Sakura, shh. Hush! Stop crying!" Touya said
trying to make Sakura stop her weeping. Touya had realized that he had pushed her too
hard and feeling a little remorse, he decided to maybe just go easy on the
chores.
"Ok, ok, fine, I'll make dinner. You take a break and
I'll help you a bit"
Sakura smiled gleefully, "Really?" Sakura finally
realized that one way of getting out of chores was to result to endless crying.
"Hai, but under one condition." said Touya with a smirk.
Sakura groaned. She should of seen this one coming.
"You go on your date thingy but when you come back, you
have to do the rest of your chores." Touya finished.
Sakura sighed hugging her brother greatfully, "Arigatou
Onnisan! Arigatou, Arigatou!"
Touya gently brushed her off, "Yeah, yeah. Well get
started before I change my mind, kaijuu."
Sakura grinned, "This time I'll pretend you didn't call
me that, this time." Sakura said giving him a stern yet friendly look, as
she skipped upstairs to her room.
*half an hour later..
Sakura sat on her bed talking to Tomoyo.
Tomoyo: So...did you finish your report yet?"
Sakura: Yep! I spent all day on it yesterday.
Tomoyo: Who'd you do?
Sakura: Um.. I did Akashi Yasushi. He's a politician.
Tomoyo: Oh that's new. I never heard of Yasushi...
Sakura: How was
yours?
Tomoyo: oh.. My
report? I did Sadako...everyone knows her.
Sakura: Ohh! The one who died from leukemia? Then she tried
to make 1000 origami cranes...that was so sad...
Tomoyo: I know! I nearly broke down in tears while reading
the books on her. Anyways, so is it true?
Sakura: What??
Tomoyo: You know...that date with what's-his-name...
Sakura: Micheru-kun? Yeah...we're going out on a REAL date!
I'm so excited--I think he might be the right one...I talked to him on the phone
earlier today and he seems to really like me...I think he might be the one
Syaoran was referring to. He said I would find that person who I'd truly love and
he might be it!
Tomoyo: ...
Sakura: hoe?
Tomoyo: ...
Sakura: hello??
Tomoyo: *cough*
Sakura: Are you okay??
Tomoyo: Um...gomen... I was just...a little...
um...stunned....there...
Sakura:...yah...right...so aren't you happy for me?
Tomoyo: I don't know Sakura...I've heard things about him...I
don't think he's your type...
Sakura: Oh, come on! He's a nice guy, give him a chance! You
don't even know him!
Tomoyo: Oh Alright...I'll come over and help you get ready...
Sakura: Hoe... *sweat drop* Ok...I'll look through my closet and
find some things to wear...
Tomoyo: but I made you a really kawaii outfi----
Sakura: PLEASE TOMOYO! LET ME DECIDE ON WHAT TO WEAR THIS
TIME!
Tomoyo: Ok...but, I'm still coming to see how you look!
*
Syaoran shrugs as he stammers tiredly up the stairs to his
room, exhausted after a long morning of training and studying.
Syaoran swings open his door and sits comfortably onto his
bed. He sighs because he is tired and remembers he has to go to soccer practice.
He then notices that Sakura is also in her room staring into
the mirror, constantly brushing her hair. Syaoran stared at her as she threw
things around her and frantically was jumping up and down.
"What the...?"
Syaoran stares as Sakura frustratedly shakes Kero-chan,
throughs pillows into the air and then starts throwing more things out the
closet. Then she heads back to the mirror and brushes her hair.
Syaoran is confused and forces himself to believe Sakura has
not gone stock-raving mad.
"What is wrong with her?" Syaoran asked himself as
he stared at her actions closely.
*
Sakura finally stopped brushing her hair and searched desperately
through her closet again.
"Sakura? What's with you?" asked kero in concern.
"I-I CAN'T FIND ANYTHING TO WEAR!!" Sakura began
pacing back and forth then headed back to the mirror nervously brushing her
hair.
"SAKURA! STOP BRUSHING YOUR HAIR ALREADY!"
"I'm sorry kero-chan, but I have to make sure my hair is
just right and I'm getting nervous."
Kero sighed, went into the closet, pulled out some clothes
and dropped them on Sakura's bed.
"Sakura, just wear these."
Sakura stopped brushing her hair and looked at the clothes
kero had chosen for her.
"Oh! They're perfect! Thanks a lot!' Sakura smiled
happily.
*
Syaoran stared at Sakura hard. Now she had stopped acting
like a maniac and was now talking to kero-chan.
"Hmm...I wonder what was wrong with her."
Sakura then picked up the clothes and walked towards the
window, then obviously not noticing him, she closed the shutters and that was
the last of her.
Syaoran sighed. He remembered the MSN chat they had the day
before, Sakura was probably getting ready for her "big date". How he
wished he was the one going out with Sakura.
*
"XIAO-LANG!" shouted Fei-Mei angrily from the doorway. "Hurry
up or you'll be late for soccer practice!"
Sheifa (Chang) shook her head, "Seriously--what is with
Xiao-Lang? He just seems to never do anything right these days!"
Fanren (Leia) agreed, "He seems so dazed! He's less
serious, doesn't concentrate as well, he's more distracted, he's always by
himself..."
"He was always like that--the by himself thing. He's independent. What I'm wondering is why he's always talking to himself!"
pointed out Fuutie (mitsuki) with a smirk.
"Well," continued Fanren, "he's not as strict
and organized as usual. He seems to constantly have things on his mind."
"He also blushes an awful lot!" pointed out Fei-Mei
with a giggle.
Sheifa nodded, "He seems so...so---"
Fuutie grinned, "In love?"
Everyone turned to Fuutie (Mitsuki) in surprise.
"Look, Xiao-Lang loves little Kinomoto Sakura-san. You
can just see it." Fuutie laughed.
Fei-Mei nodded, "It's true...remember when we went to the
Kinomotos' residence before Christmas and we saw Xaio-Lang blush and get shy
around little Ying?"
"AWWW!" three sisters squealed in unison, "Little Ying! How kawaii!"
Sheifa chuckled, "Xiao-Ying, and Xiao-Lang. Too
cute!"
Fanren nodded, "I know! Imagine--Mrs. Mitsuki Kinomoto!"
Fuutie blushed a crimson shade of red. "What makes you
think Touya will marry me??"
Fei-Mei grinned, "Well, he seems to like you a lot--and
just think! Even if Xiao-Lang and little Ying don't get married, Sakura will
still be in the family!"
Mitsuki flustered, "S-Stop that!"
"Stop what?" asked Syaoran who had finally stumbled
down the stairs.
"It's about time!" Sheifa shook her head.
"Well, I had to....find...my......socks." Syaoran lied
uneasily not wanting to say he was staring out the window at his neighbour.
"What's wrong with you--you're so disorganized these
days.." sighed Fei-mei.
Then a smirk appeared on Sheifa's face, "Is it because of
Kinomoto-san? Is she what's on your mind?"
Syaoran glowered at her threatingly, "Shut up!"
Syaoran felt as though he's been saying that a lot lately.
Fuutie sighed as she thought secretly to herself, 'Poor Xiao-Lang...how will mother tell him about the
news? The time is very near until our journey.'
*
Soon it was 5:00 PM, Sakura had finished dressing and Tomoyo
had arrived.
