Chapter 51: Syaoran Card

(by Kawaii Chibi, added on 5 July 2002 03:53 AM)

Syaoran couldn't take it anymore, he had to go look for Sakura. Tomoyo agreed entirely. The two sneak out, equipped with ski's, ski pole, extra layers for warmth and goggles. They were going to go in search of their loved ones.

'They can't keep us in here, while Sakura...and that-that baka are out there...' Syaoran cringed, pulling down his dark blue goggles as they exited quietly.

'Eriol-kun is no baka, he's sweet,' Tomoyo corrected irritably, shivering by the sudden impact of cold wind as small flakes of snow were carried along and were caught up in the wrinkles of their clothes.

'Whatever! We have to find her!' he growled, still fuming with jealousy.

'Correction: we have to find THEM!' Tomoyo sighed incredulously, shaking her head.

'Come ON!' he urged, skiing ahead in a rush. 'We have to catch up to them before that storm does!'

'Right!' Tomoyo quivered, wishing she had an extra pair of arms to hug her body from the freezing air around them.

The whole land seemed pure white, including the sky. The clouds grew a pewter grey and the snow fall grew heavier.

'Which direction is it?' Syaoran asked, looking in all directions hopelessly.

'Oh, follow me,' Tomoyo breathed, nodding to the west. 'It's quite a long hike, I don't think we will be able to make good time in these skis.'

'Then we won't use them,' he snapped angrily, ripping off his skis and tossing the polls aside, 'I - I mean, WE need to find Sakura!' he ran ahead, ignoring the chilling stings of each passing flake of ice touching his already frost-bitten face.

'Wait!' Tomoyo called, following his actions and rushing after him weakly.

Syaoran startles her by grabbing onto her wrist firmly and dragging her through the now three-foot deep snow.

*

'Eriol-kun,' Sakura gasped, loosing her balance and clumsily slipping into the snow, 'We should consider heading back!'

'Grab my hand!' his voice seemed distant, as he outstretched a thickly gloved palm.

Their finger tips barely touched before more snow began to cover her body which was now trembling violently from the cold.

'Eriol-kun!' she cried with fear, she was loosing sight of her friend. 'Where are you?'

'Over here!' his voice was distant and muffled by the howling wind. '-er...'ere...'

'No! Don't go!' Sakura screamed in vain, but he was out of her reach, and out of her sight.

The snow was slowly draining and soaking into her coat, all thickness in no attempt of helping to keep her warm.

'Syaoran...' she whispered, as the coldness surrounded her, and she blacked out.

*

'SAKURA!!' Syaoran bellowed furiously, sensing her energy drawing closer, but growing weaker every passing moment. 'WHERE ARE YOU, SAKURA?!'

'Sakura!' Tomoyo also called, swiveling in all directions to peer through the fierce storm. 'Sakura!'

'SAKURA! WAIT! DON'T GO!' Syaoran cried, her aura slowly ceasing to little existence. He ran madly ahead, each footstep he took, only allowed his proceeding steps to sink lower into the startling white snow.

Suddenly, there is a radiant glow of blue energy, and Eriol's form appears; he is holding his long and amazing golden staff, ending with a giant nine-armed star. Syaoran and Tomoyo are slightly relieved as they run over to him.

'Eriol!' Tomoyo squealed, all politeness forgotten, hot tears rushing from her eyes. 'We were so worried!'

'Where the hell is Sakura?!' Syaoran yelled hotly, hurtling around, ready to smack Eriol hard in the face. 'What have you done to her?!'

'I haven't done ANYTHING!' Eriol huffed indignantly, 'I lost her in the storm!'

'It's all your fault!' Syaoran hollered, clenching his fists, 'Where did you see her last?!'

'Over there!' Eriol directed his arm to the east as he comforted Tomoyo with the other hand. 'You go ahead! I need to warm up Tomoyo-chan.' he chanted for a moment, then a large golden barrier swelled around them, deflecting off the storm itself.

Syaoran didn't need telling twice, he zoomed ahead, clutching the dark orb around his neck, the very property of his power.

'SAKURA! ANSWER ME!' Syaoran yelled at the top of his lungs, a lump gradually forming in the back of his throat, fear slowly claiming possession of his worst realizations. 'SAKURAAAA!!!'

At that moment, a small green glow emitted from his coat pocket. He shoves a hand into his pocket and removes its contents. It is a Moon-drop card, branded with the name; Snowflake. An idea suddenly struck him. He removes his gloves as they don't allow him enough grip.

'Snowflake Card!' he commanded, releasing his large sword and striking it to the card's side. 'I command you to clear this storm! SNOWFLAKE!!!'

The card's true form soared from its contained existence. A beautiful tall lady with streaming white hair and robes swam around gracefully in the air, waving her arms about in a rhythmic pattern; each individual snowflake that hadn't properly touched the ground glowed a different color, then threw themselves towards her. She opened her pale mouth and inhaled them all like a strange vacuum, the snow that lay like a thick blanket was also uplifted and also disappeared into the spirit's mouth.

Sakura's limp body soon appeared from underneath several of its impossible layers. Syaoran runs to her in panic, tears brimming, threatening to fall at any moment. The Snowflake card turns into a Syaoran card and floats back to his pocket.

'Sakura! Wake up!' he said softly, bringing her into his lap and stroking  her cheek gently with his bare, quivering hand; her face is icy cold. 'Sakura...'

The storm had finally cleared, but it had already grown quite dark, the sky possessed of lightly tinted blues and greys.

'Sakura-chan!' Tomoyo and Eriol called in unison, reaching to Syaoran's side suddenly. Tomoyo is clutching her side as she has formed a stitch.

'Sakura-chan, is she alright?' Tomoyo said slowly, checking Sakura's pulse on her left wrist.

'I don't know, she seems overwhelmed.' Eriol said observantly, reaching for her forehead.

Syaoran angrily knocks his hand away, startling Eriol in the process, he withdraws it in confusion.

'I was only...'

'It's your fault she's like this,' Syaoran snapped, eyeing daggers at Eriol, 'I thought you went with her to protect her. You knew there was going to be a storm, didn't you?! and you didn't consult her, and didn't even argue to resist her urge of coming up here!' a tear trickled down Syaoran's white cheek as he glared furiously at Eriol. 'Y-You call yourself her friend!'

Tomoyo is amazed by his confrontation, and goes to Eriol's side with concern.

Eriol just gazes at him dimly, not flinching at his cold remark. He takes Tomoyo's hand and squeezes it in assurance.

'I never meant any harm to Sakura-chan,' he finally answered, looking away, feeling slightly guilty by chancing it the whole time. 'You understand...'

Tomoyo understands and nods. 'Yes...I know you meant well...'

'I don't get you!' Syaoran hissed, pulling Sakura's body closer to his. 'Why didn't you try to help her?! You have the power!'

'I...' but he is reluctant. 'It wasn't my place...'

Syaoran wasn't listening; he carefully picks Sakura up and carries her with ease; for she is very light.

'We better go back. Sensei will go skitz if he catches us out here.' Syaoran said thickly, slowly tracking past them. 'Come on!'

They don't hesitate and follow his lead.

*

They were coming close to the cabins as they followed the barely visible trail in the snow. The storm was gone, and the area was clear.

Syaoran his still carrying Sakura. He tries to ignore the urge, but leans his head down to take a small look at the one he loves. She looked quite pale, but as beautiful as ever. Her silky auburn hair curled along her cheeks, framing her delicate face. He smiles to himself; she was his special one...his precious...if only she knew how he felt...

Sakura mumbles a little, her eyes flickering open slightly. She manages to get one clear focus of Syaoran and drifts back off into peaceful sleep.

'Syaoran...' she murmured, her lips curving into a smile.

He doesn't notice this as they have reached the door. Terada Sensei has appeared in the door, horror-struck.

Chapter 52: A Total Disaster

(by Melissa, added on 5 July 2002 08:57 PM)

Syaoran, Eriol and Tomoyo stared up at Terada's angry eyes in fright.

Sakura was still on Syaoran's back still partly unconscious.

Eriol scratched his head, "Um...Terada-Sensei...I can explain..."

Terada held out his hand motioning him to halt.

"No...don't bother, I know where you went."

Syaoran sweat dropped.

"This looks... bad."

"You bet it looks bad! Alright you four...come with me." Terada said sternly heading towards the base cabin, not the cabin where the students were. (dont ask)

*

The three adolescents, still in fear knowing what was to become of them sat in in the seats which were placed in a row. Syaoran carefully placed Sakura onto the ground trying not to hurt her.

"Ok, I'll be right back. Don't move an inch!" with that Terada-Sensei left the cabin.

For the first couple of seconds the three sat in silence but then Eriol broke it.

"So...um...what's up?"

Syaoran glared at him hard, "Shut up!"

Tomoyo frowned, "He's just trying to make conversation! Give him a break!"

"WHY SHOULD I GIVE HIM A BREAK?!! IT'S HIS FAULT SAKURA'S HURT!!" Syaoran hollered still quite upset.

"It isn't his fault! He tried his best and you know it! You should just stop living in your petty, childish jealousy and try to be nice to him!!" Tomoyo screamed back also getting frustrated.

"Why should I?!" Syaoran grumbled rudely.

"No wonder Sakura doesn't love you.." Eriol murmured in a cruel yet quiet way.

Syaoran's eyes suddenly become glossy as tears begin to fill them.

"W-What do you mean?"

"You have nothing in common with her! You always get mad at everyone and act coldly while Sakura is so sweet and caring! You should thank me! I at least tried to help her and all you give me is the cold shoulder! How could she ever love you?!" Eriol blurted out in growing anger.

Syaoran paused in silence taking in all Eriol had said. His eyes becoming a blur as tears soaked them. His lower lip quivering slightly. He felt so hurt and was sure that Eriol was right. He had never considered it. He was cold -hearted. Sakura most definitely wouldn't love him. Maybe she was only nice to him because she was a naturally nice person.

"I-I guess...you're...right. How could she love me?" Syaoran whispered quietly, his voice a bit shaky. All though it was hard to make out, it was loud enough for Eriol to hear.

Eriol had realized what he had just said and felt bad. Really bad.

"S-Syaoran-kun...I'm so sorry. You know I didn't mean that..."

Syaoran turned away, trying to hide his tears. He look down at his lap still quite saddened, "Don't call me Syaoran. You don't have the right to."

Eriol, feeling taken back sighed sadly and stared blankly out a window. Tomoyo who was in the middle just frowned sorrowfully.

Suddenly a quiet yawn echoed in the remotely empty cabin.

"W-What's going...on? Where am I?" Sakura asked in confusion, but she immediately stopped speaking once she saw her depressing atmosphere. Syaoran sat staring down at his lap, his eyes glassy from crying (kind of. He didn't really 'cry'. his eyes just got watery). Tomoyo looked mournful and quiet as if someone had just died. Eriol was beside her staring out the window blankly also looking quite depressed. Sakura just sat quite befuddled about what had happened.

At that exact moment Terada-Sensei entered the room and was also quite astonished at what he saw and was curious about what had happened during the 3 minutes he had been gone.

"Well...um...what happened in here? You look like the world has just ended!"

No body answered. Just continued staring. Except Sakura who had just woken up and was in utter confusion.

"Um...what's going on?" Sakura repeated. "Why am I here?"

"Ah! Miss Kinomoto. Glad you can join us. Well, enough stalling. Let's begin with the reason why we are here."

Everyone moaned depressingly.

"Alright, first of all both of you, Eriol and Sakura, Now, I am glad you arrived back safely, however you knew very well that that mountain was off limits! You knew it wasn't safe to venture out onto a mountain of that size by yourselves!" Terada bellowed making Sakura flinch a little.

"As for you two, Li-Kun, Daidouji-chan, you knew very well that I told you to stay put! You deliberately disobeyed my orders! For this, all your deeds most certainly will not go unpunished!"

Everyone winced knowing exactly what his next words would be.

"Not only will you not be allowed to go skiing or even go outside for the rest of this trip, you will both have detention for three weeks! Since there is also a storm, we are snowed in. But after the disaster you four have created we shall head back to the school the minute the snow clears! Because of your disrespectful actions, everyone else will miss out on the benefits of this trip!"

Everyone groaned. For the rest of the day, Eriol and Tomoyo avoided Syaoran. Syaoran avoided Eriol and Tomoyo and couldn't bear to even glance at Sakura. Sakura was all alone and was confused because she couldn't understand why everyone was ignoring her. In fact, no one was talking at all.

Sakura noticed Syaoran standing still like a soldier in an empty corner. She decided to ask what was wrong. "Syaoran what is--"

Syaoran immediately whipped around and briskly walked away heading to the opposite corner.

Sakura who was in bewilderment decided to ask Eriol and Tomoyo what was wrong.

"Tomoyo, Eriol, why--"

Tomoyo and Eriol quickly ran away from Sakura before she could finish her question.

Sakura stared blankly in dismay. She felt lost and sad as she struggled to hold back from crying.

'No Sakura! Big girls don't cry...' she told herself but felt somehow she couldn't help it. 'why are they ignoring me?"

Chapter 53: The Truth

(by Melissa, added on 6 July 2002 10:14 PM)

Later that night, the snow had cleared a bit but the class was still partially snowed in. The storm had ended very late that night and it knocked down a couple of trees in the process.

Tomeda’s grade 7 class sat quietly in the dimly lit, and poorly heated cabin. It was a bit chilly, for the gas heaters had stopped for a couple of hours during a blackout from the storm. Hot chocolate, tea biscuits, and blankets were passed out to everyone and everyone huddled together trying to keep warm. Well, almost everyone.

Eriol sat in one corner with Tomoyo at his side. He was still staring ahead blankly not making much movement. Tomoyo sat still with her arms folded onto her lap and she stared down at her hands for a couple of minutes.

Syaoran was in the other corner glaring hard at Eriol and then glancing sheepishly at Sakura from time to time.

Sakura stood in the opposite corner with Takashi, Naoko, Chiharu and Rika still quite perplexed with the behavior of Eriol, Tomoyo and Syaoran.

“I don’t know what’s going on with them…they’re not talking to me!” Sakura sighed in apprehension.

Naoko shook her head, ”Correction, they aren’t talking to anyone!”

Takashi nodded, ”I know! I’m wondering what Terada did to them while they were going into the cabin!”

Takashi thought to himself crudely. A smirk appeared on his face.

"EW!! TAKASHAKI! THAT'S HENTAI!" Chiharu frowned knowing EXACTLY what he was thinking.

Sakura frowned, ”No..I was there and HE didn’t do anything!”

“That is sad. They look like zombies!” Chiharu exclaimed.

Rika blinked in puzzlement,” Sakura…don’t you find it odd that Li-Kun keeps glancing at you every five seconds??” Rika said pointing at Syaoran.

“Whaaa??” Sakura turned to see Syaoran very well staring at her. At first their eyes locked, then Syaoran blushed and quickly looked away.

“THAT’S IT! I CAN’T TAKE IT ANYMORE! TIME CARD!! STOP TIME ON EVERYONE BUT TOMOYO, SYAORAN, AND ERIOL!!!” before the students could say anything, Sakura took out her time card and paused time. Sakura decided she’d use the erase on them later.

“Alright! What is going on here?!” Sakura demanded waiting for an answer.

“What ever do you mean?” asked Eriol in a monotone voice.

“YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN! WHY AREN’T WE TALKING?!!” Sakura screamed , seeming upset.

Suddenly Syaoran’s pocket started glowing a goldish color and a strange aura surrounded all four of them.

Tomoyo smiled gracefully, "You know Sakura, I’ve always thought you were a very kind person! I idolize you!”

Sakura smiled daintily, "Why, thank you. I think you have a very great talent with sewing. And Syaoran-kun, I think you are a very strong and kind person. Have I ever told you how much I respect you?”

Syaoran blushed hard, ”Uh…Sakura I think you’re the most wonderful person I’ve ever met. Eriol…although I’d never admit it, I think you are pretty cool and unique and I’m sorry for everything bad I’ve said about you.”

Eriol grinned,  ”Oh really? Well Syaoran, I think you’re the greatest descendant I’ve ever had. I wouldn’t be surprised if Sakura actually did fall in love with y—“

Syaoran turned a deep shade of crimson they never saw before, "No Eriol! Don’t Say it!!”

Eriol smiled, "Very well.”

Sakura blinked, "What?? I didn’t catch that!”

“NOTHING!” Everyone snapped in unison.

Sakura shrugged. Eriol paused in complete silence for a minute, ”Well...it’s great we’re all friends again.

“What the heck—GROUP HUG!!” Tomoyo declared with a giggle as everyone scrambled to hug each other. Suddenly time continued as regularly. And everyone stared at the four wondering why they were hugging. Then at Sakura and wondering how she used the magic.

Sakura quickly took out her erase card and quickly put it to work. “TIME CARD! ERASE THEIR MEMORY OF WHAT JUST HAPPENED!” Sakura commanded and immediately things went to action erasing everyone’s memory. Soon everyone was carrying on, drinking chocolate and huddling under blankets.

Tomoyo sighed, ”Well...that was close.”

“Yah.” Agreed Syaoran. Syaoran suddenly noticed his pocket was glowing. He reached in and pulled out a Syaoran card which was marked ‘Truth’.

‘That’s odd,’ thought Syaoran to himself,’ that would explain why we were all being so sincere of each other…but how did I transform it?’

Sakura sighed sadly, ”You know that group hug thing…well it reminds me of Meiling.”

Syaoran gasped, ”MEILING?!!”

“OH MY GOSH! ME TOO!” Tomoyo replied beginning to cry.

“SHE SAID SHE WAS COMING BACK…but she never did.” Sakura sighed again also starting to cry, ”I really miss her..”

“Me too.” Tomoyo agreed. Eriol just sat listening for he was not very familiar with Meiling.

Syaoran gasped and sat dumbfounded remembering what his mother had said a couple of days ago.

FLASHBACK*

‘Xiao-Lang, Mei-ling will be visiting again soon. Ok sweetie?’

Syaoran sat not paying attention, ”Yah sure whatever.”

END FLASHBACK

Syaoran nearly passed out for he had completely forgotten about her.

Soon it had gotten quite late and Syaoran sat on a chair by the fireplace. Everyone had fallen asleep. He couldn’t sleep for all he could think of was Sakura and he didn’t understand how he was going to tell Meiling that he loved Sakura and not her. Worst of all...she was coming back soon...really soon.

Chapter 54: Nearing Confession

(By Kawaii Chibi)

Note: ~story~ means that it is almost directly taken from the actual episode

~Syaoran sat alone on the couch, staring absentmindedly into the large flames of the fireplace. As he continued to stare, he wondered...wondered about his feelings for a certain auburn-haired, green-eyed girl...how he would ever tell Meiling...he was terribly confused.

*

Sakura was lying on the bottom bed of the bunk she and Tomoyo were sharing. All the occupants in the room had all fallen asleep but her. All she could think about was what had happened earlier that evening. She raises her head slowly, 'Tomoyo-chan?' she whispered, but there came no reply.

Sakura decides to get out of bed and go to the main room to ponder on her thoughts. She takes her coat that had been hanging on the end of her bed post, draped it around her shoulders and walked out of the room.

*

Syaoran gazed openly at the fireplace.

One name escaped his lips, 'Sakura...'

'What is it?' a high-pitched voice came from behind him.

His eyes widen, he cautiously turns his head around and he looks up. Sakura is there.

His heart is beating incredibly fast, red and pink flashes of light surround him. He is jumping up and down, possessing an extremely reddened face, his eyes wide, he is clutching his forever drumming heart, beating against his ribs.

Why she's here?Heart beats very fast

'What is she doing here?!' he cried, his voice echoing, chaotic music ringing in his ears.

Sakura tilts her head to the side, leaning on top of the seat and staring down at him. 'You ok?'

He comes back to his senses. 'Wah!' he stands up stiffly, glaring up at the ceiling. 'Wh-What do you want?'

'I-I couldn't sleep, so I decided to come out here...' she places herself on the floor beside him.

Syaoran: I will not blush...I will not blush...DAMN! IM BLUSHING!

The both gaze into the warm, comforting fire.

They begin to talk about things, little things. But all the same, lifting each one's spirits.

'What did Eriol-kun mean today?' Sakura wondered.

'Uh...no-nothing,' he said quickly.

She giggles, 'You know, it's true...what I said about you.'

'Wah - gah - I'm not like that.'

She turns her head and smiles sweetly, 'I know you...silly.'

His heart skips a beat. 'Uh...I need to tell you something...'

'Oh look! The snow's so pure tonight!'

Syaoran swivels around to see Sakura staring out the window. 'Let's go outside and look.'

And so he follows her. They stand beside each other, watching the small flakes gracefully dance to the ground.

Sakura turns her head to the right and notices a little statue of a bear.

'Oh! How kawaii!' she chirped, kneeling down beside it and hugging it. 'Isn't it genki?'

He just stares at her, amazed by her beauty. 'Yeah...adorable...'

She stands up again and approaches him. 'What is it you wanted to tell me?'

'Uh, Sakura, I...' he began apprehensively.

It is a beautiful night; the sky is scattered with millions of stars, the gentle falling snow speckled the horizon, it is of comfortable darkness and they are alone...

'I...I lo-'

'It's ok,' she whispered, smiling sweetly, 'you don't have to tell me...'

'Huh?' he said, perplexed.

'I know you saved me, and I'm thankful that you went to all that trouble. And for always being there for me. Thank you, Syaoran-kun.'

'Wha...but, I...' he faulted, shaking his head incredulously, 'No, I...'

'Hoe?' she said, looking slightly confused, 'Isn't that what you wanted to talk to me about?'

'N-No...I mean...' he paused for a moment. Then suddenly, all hope shattered, he gave up.

He looks at her again. his head dropping solemnly, he sighs. 'Uh, you're welcome...'

She hugs her shoulders and shivers. 'Brrrrr, we better get to bed! Chappui chappui! It's starting to get really cold!'

He nods glumly and follows her inside.~

'I'll never forgive myself...I'm such a coward...' he scolded himself, he stares blurrily down at his hands.

Chapter 55: ...Stiff?

(by Melissa, added on 9 July 2002 06:28 PM)

Sakura sighed heavily as she roller bladed tiredly down the street. Syaoran at her side. Her, short white skirt blowing carelessly in the breeze, her bag slung around her shoulder. It was Monday, late February. Sakura and Syaoran had just come from school and it was 6:00 pm. (school in japan ends at 4..i think..) At school they had been there sweeping and writing lines for they had detention because of the ski inccident. They had decided to walk together that day since they both lived beside each other.

"Oh..I am so tired." Sakura breathed heavily.

"Is that so?" said someone from behind her.

Sakura and Syaoran whipped around only to see a tall, relitively handsome boy.

"M-Micheru?!" Sakura squeaked surprised to see him for she hadn't in a while.

"Hey babe! So what's up, my kawaii girlfriend?"

GIRLFRIEND?! Syaoran felt his face grow hot as the words stung himas if he was hit on the head with a hammer. Syaoran stared coldly at Micheru, stunned that he was there and in confusion not quite knowing what to think.

Sakura blushed, "Um...nothing really."

"Is that so?" he then turned to look at Syaoran who had been glaring at him--obviously envious, "Who's this(jackass)?" Micheru scuffed looking at him as if he had just fallen out of a dump truck.

"He's Syaoran-kun. He's just my friend."

"Friends, huh?" Micheru asked returning a death glare.

Sakura looked at them as they both exchanged cold glares. Sakura was confused because she hadn't realized what was going on. She decided to change the subject.

"Um...Micheru...Where were you today? I hadn't seen you at school."

Micheru rolled his eyes, "Oh...school. Yah well, I skipped it."

"YOU WHAT??!!" Sakura screamed not believing her ears.

"I didn't go. It's no big deal." Micheru said simply, slicking back his shiny blonde hair. "So do you want to go on a date tonight?"

Syaoran's face turned red in rage and enormous jealousy.

Sakura blushed, "Um...well...Tonight?"

"Yeah...why?" Micheru said with a care-free attitude.

"Well...I have a lot of homework and.."

Syaoran thinks: Yay!!

Micheru frowned, "Oh...one of the brainy types eh?"

Syaoran thinks: yah, she is! Got a problem with that?!!!

Sakura sulked as she wondered, 'what does he mean by that??'

"Well...I guess I'll see you around..." Micheru sighed beginning to turn around and walk away.

Syaoran thinks: Good! Go! Leave!

"N-No wait! Maybe I could...call you later when I'm done?" Sakura asked with uncertainty.

Syaoran thinks: DAMN!!

"Sure." Micheru smiled as he continued walking away.

Sakura felt herself melt. 'Micheru is so...attractive...I wonder if he's the one..?"

Syaoran couldn't believe this. Micheru asked her out...right in front of his face!!

*********************************

Syaoran flung open his bed room doors, tossed his bag onto the floor and threw himself onto his bed.

"Oh...what a day!" Syaoran grunted, quite exhausted.

On the nightstand beside his bed he noticed a bluish teddy bear--his bluish teddy bear.

Syaoran immediately flung out of his bed and groaned.

"WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?!! WHY CAN'T I JUST TELL HER?!!!" Syaoran shouted quite angrily.

"WHAT DOES SHE SEE IN THAT BAKA BAKA BAKA MICHERU ANYWAYS?!!" Syaoran hollered --his memory flashing back to a few minutes ago.

*FLASHBACK*

"Oh...I am so tired." Sakura breathed heavily.

"Is that so?" said someone from behind her.

Sakura and Syaoran whipped around only to see a tall, relitively handsome boy.

"M-Micheru?!" Sakura squeaked surprised to see him for she hadn't in a while.

"He's Syaoran-kun. He's just my friend."

*END FLASHBACK*

"Eriol is right! What would she see in me? I may as well forget everything! She only thinks of me as JUST a friend!"

Syaoran then glanced at his bear. It's beady eyes staring up at him. It's face posing an ever-present smile.

"Sakura...." Syaoran sighed then looked up at his calendar. Big red x's marked all across it--the count down until Meiling's visit.

Syaoran sighed again, "What do I do now?"

*********************

Sakura sat holding up her receiver waiting for an answer.

'Moshi, Moshi?' A gruff voice answered with a cough.

Sakura winced, "U-Um is Micheru-kun there?"

"Y-Yeah *cough*" The person replied.

In the background Sakura could hear.

[["BOY! GET YOUR LAZY A** DOWN HERE!! *cough* I MEAN NOW! DON'T MAKE YOUR FAT MAMA WALK, BOY!! BAKA! WHERE THE H*** ARE YOU?!"

"I'M COMING, SHEESH! BAKA!"]]

Sakura couldn't believe her ears.

"Yeah?" Micheru answered angrily.

Sakura swallowed hard not sure what to say, "I-It's Sakura..."

"Oh, hey." He replied calming down slightly.

"Who was that?" Sakura asked still in shock.

"Oh...that was my kaasan."

"YOUR MOTHER?!!" Sakura shrieked in disbelief.

"Yeah."

"Why did she say all that about you?!"

"Look, it's none of your business!"

"Gomen ne!" Sakura sighed feeling a little unrattled.

"Well...up for tonight?"

Sakura looked around. Her father was working late and Touya was at another part-time job.

"Sure!" Sakura replied cheerfully.

***************************

Sakura and Micheru sat at a large table at the ice cream shop.

"So um...this is good ice cream, ne?" Sakura asked trying to make conversation.

"Yeah...It's ok...it's shit, but it could have been worse." Micheru replied licking his chocolate ice cream cone.

Sakura's eyes widened, "You swear?"

"Yeah, don't you?" Micheru replied still licking his ice cream.

Sakura blushed in embarrassment. "Well...not really."

"Cool. You smoke?"

Sakura's eyes widened more. She had never even considered it, "No...d-do you?"

Micheru smiled, "No. My baka kaasan does."

She felt bad for Micheru and wondered why he hated his mother so much but Sakura smiled sweetly. She was glad they had SOMETHING in common.

"You know, Sakura-chan, I've had a crush on you since September."

Sakura flustered, "R-Really?"

"Yeah...the minute I laid eyes on you. I would have said something but I was with my ex but of course...we're so over now." Micheru said simply.

Sakura felt as if she was in an awkward position.

"So...um...I had no idea."

"Well anyways I think you're really pretty...I feel really lucky to be dating you..." Micheru slowly leaned in towards her, his eyes closed. Sakura blinked in shock, knowing very well he was intending to kiss her.

Sakura quickly pushed him away and stood up.

Micheru stopped and blinked in surprise.

"S-Sakura?"

"Um...I..."Sakura stuttered shyly.

"Don't want me to kiss you right? Well forget about it, ok?" Micheru said quickly also standing up.

"You know, that's the thing about you Sakura...you're so stiff!" With that Micheru dashed away feeling hurt and slightly upset.

Sakura stared behind him in dismay. Then she slumped down onto her seat sadly.

"W-What does he mean...stiff?"

Chapter 56: What did he mean? ~ Sakura

(by Kawaii Chibi, added on 9 July 2002 09:41 PM)

Sakura sat alone in the ice cream parlor, sitting alone in her vacant table for two, staring openly at the pink, blue and white tiled walls, confided to all four sides.

'Micheru...what does he mean that I'm "stiff"?' she asked herself.

A tear forms at the corner of her eye and she wipes it away.

'That hurt...' she murmured, her heart stinging as if a bee had injected its stinger and the sickly venom had petruded from the point.

She shifts out of her seat, walking over to the bin, dropping her strawberry ice cream inside and stumbles out the door.

People that had been sitting nearby were watching her with concern; she was definitely seeing the wrong kind of person.

'Micheru...he's so handsome, but...why is he so cold? I seriously think...or thought that he is the one...' she mumbled thickly, pacing down the street, not taking care as she bumped into several others. 'Micheru...'

*

Syaoran knew instantly that something was wrong. Something was happening to Sakura.

'Sakura, what's wrong?' he said out loud as he stood in the center of his room. 'I have to go to her!'

He hops out the window, reaching for the confiding branches of a Sakura tree, jumping down and hurrying down the street towards Sakura's location.

*

Sakura, for the first time in minutes, looks up and finds herself standing in the center of Penguin Park; it had always been the center of all happenings in her daily life; so many cards had been captured near here...so many converted here...the swings held great comfort as she walked over to one and ran a finger down its rusty chain.

She hears a shrill giggle from behind her and runs over to some bushes to hide from the intruder.

Micheru appears into her view. She is about to step out and apologize to him when she sees that he has led a girl out by the hand. She has short purple hair and black eyes. He pulls her forward and brings her into a passionate kiss.

'Yo, hot stuff. Spice me up,' Micheru growled sickly, deepening the kiss, 'Me wants all of ya.'

'Ooh, Micheru,' the girl giggled harder between each release of a kiss. 'You're so sexy.'

'You know it, b****,' he hissed, proceeding down to her neck.

'Ooh, naughty boy,' she whispered slyly, smiling broadly.

Sakura was senseless for the whole time, horror-struck, seeing her boyfriend, making out with a girl she didn't even know.

'Micheru...' she murmured, tears flowing down her cheeks. 'How could you...?'

- 'Ow! Not so much biting, Micheru!' the girl exclaimed excitedly.

'...Because I refused to kiss him...he's found someone else...' her tears soaked her lap as she continued to watch, and stare...

*

Syaoran is still hurrying.

'Coming Sakura! I'm coming!' he yelled.

Chapter 57: A Vision of The Future

(by Melissa, added on 11 July 2002 05:51 PM)

"Oh Mandy...why did I ever break up with you? What was I thinking?" Micheru continued deepening the kiss once again.

Sakura covered her eyes in pain not wanting to see anymore.

  *

Syaoran looked in every direction searching for where Sakura's magical aura was coming from. Once it was clearer he realized it was somewhere near penguin park. He quickly raced up to where Micheru was standing where he and the girl were kissing. Syaoran couldn't believe his eyes. He stared blankly at him not wanting to believe it---for Sakura's sake.

"That-That---I knew it! I knew he wasn't worth Sakura's heart!!" Syaoran hollered angrily inside his head feeling Sakura's pain.

Syaoran turned red in fury, "BAAAKKAAAA!!!!!!!!!!" Syaoran hollered grabbing out his sword.

Micheru whipped around letting go of the girl.

"What do you want?" Micheru began but as he noticed Syaoran's sword and the anger in his face he began to snicker,   "Oh my god! A toy sword! I'm soo very scared."

"M-M-Micheru...I-I don't think it's a t-t-toy..."the purple haired girl began in panic.

Micheru shook his head as he looked skeptically at the sword,"Look it's obviously plastic it's..."

Suddenly a glimmer from the shiny sword appeared and Micheru immediately realized how very real it was.

"HOW COULD YOU DO THAT TO SAKURA!!! YOU FOOL!!!! I'M GOING TO DICE YOU INTO A MILLION PIECES!!!" Syaoran hollered quite frustratedly.

"S-Sakura..? Who's..." the purple girl murmured in shock.

Micheru quickly got into a martial arts pose (that he obviously saw in some movie) and got ready to fight him.

"GIVE ME YOUR BEST SHOT!" Micheru shouted defensively.

Sakura was watching all this and immediately jumped out from the bushes.

"WAIT!! STOP!! YAME!!" Sakura screamed trying to break up the starting of a fight.

Everyone paused to look at her.

Sakura asked her eyes watering, "Micheru...how could you?"

"What does she mean by that?" The purple haired girl asked in suspicion.

Micheru was in shock that he was caught.

"Sakura...I'm..." Suddenly Micheru vanished.

"What the?!" the girl screached. "How did he just dissap--" suddenly she was gone also.

"SYAORAN!! WHY IS EVERYONE DISAPPEARING?!!" Sakura screamed in anxiety. "IS A CARD DOING THIS?!"

"Sakura.." Syaoran sighed calmly, "It's our most precious feeling..."

Sakura blinked in confusion.

"What?!!" Sakura asked becoming more confused with every passing second, "WHAT DO YOU MEAN?! What is it?! WHAT'S THE FEELING?!"

"We're all disappearing..." Syaoran continued. His body slowly began to fade.

"S-Syaoran?!! YOU'RE DISAPPEARING TOO!!" Sakura was beginning to panic.

"Sakura...I love--"

Suddenly Syaoran was gone as well. Sakura stood still baffled and in absolute puzzlement.

"WHAT IS HAPPENING?!!"

Suddenly everything went black.

"I DON'T UNDERSTAND!!!"Sakura screamed floating into absolute darkness.

"Sakura...Sakura..." a persistant voice echoed.

*

Sakura paused for a minute, her eyes flung open. She was in her home, standing in the kitchen holding the phone.

"Sakura?" the voice repeated impatiently.

Sakura was a little startled at first but then realized what was happening.

"Hoe?"

"Sakura...are you ok?!"

"Um...who is this?" Sakura asked slightly confused.

"It's Micheru...are you sure you're ok?!"

"Oh...hai.."

"I asked you if you were up for tonight and you didn't answer."

Sakura finally realized that everything that had just happened was a dream. She had had a daydream.

"Oh...gomen...I was in a trance."

"Hai...so are we going on a date tonight?" Micheru repeated obviously loosing his patience.

Sakura sweat dropped remembering her dream...not quite understanding the meaning.

"Uh...actually...I don't think I can make it tonight. I have a couple things to sort out." Sakura replied thinking of her dream.

"Well, ok then." And with that, Micheru hung up.

*

Syaoran was in his room doing his homework, still quite uncertain how to break the news to Meiling.

"Meiling it's over!...No....Meiling, I know you love me but, I don't love you...definitely not...Meiling, remember the engagement? Well we have to cancel because I can't marry you...no, too harsh." Syaoran sighed as he continued to finish his homework.

"Xiao-Lang?" whispered the sweet voice of Mitsuki.

Syaoran turned around to look at his sister standing at his door with a tray of food.

"Yeah???!!" Syaoran asked depressingly.

"You've been up here all day...mother, our sisters and I have been worrying about you. You've been up in your room all afternoon...is something the matter?"

"I'm fine!" Syaoran snapped knowing very well it wasn't true.

"Are you sure? You know we're here for you. You can tell me anything..."

"I said I'm fine!" Syaoran repeated continuing with his homework.

"Is it because Meiling is coming tomorrow?" Mitsuki asked curiously.

Syaoran didn't answer. Just looked sadly down at his lap.

Mitsuki grinned, "Is it about the Kinomoto girl that lives next door that you have a crush on?"

Syaoran blushed, "Mind your own business!"

Mitsuki shrugged, "Well. Anyway, I brought you some dinner. I guess you don't want to join us so...enjoy!"

Syaoran sighed and took the tray as Mitsuki gave one last concerned look and left.

*

Sakura lied on her bed staring hard at the sealing wondering what her dream really meant. Kero sat beside her listening to her as she expressed thoughts.

"Every dream I have usually comes true.."

"Your visions are a view into the future, Sakura." Kero said eating a cupcake.

"I know...that's why this dream is making me think.."

"Really?" Kero asked, for once actually showing more interest in her than in its food.

"Micheru was cheating on me...does that mean he will cheat on me in the future?" Sakura felt her eyes grow watery as the words were to her unbelievable.

Kero sighed, "Sakura...it really is heard to say."

Sakura flashbacked to her dream, "I know but it just seems so...real. Micheru was kissing this girl, then Syaoran appeared and was saying all this stuff. Then he and Micheru started to fight. I went and tried to stop them. Then everyone began disappearing. I asked Syaoran what it was and he said something about our most precious feeling....he said that he loves something then he disappeared. Then everything went black..."

Kero paused in silence thinking hard, "So...Micheru kissed this girl.."

"Uh huh." Sakura nodded.

"Everyone disappeared..." Kero continued deep in thought.

"Hai"

"Syaoran likes something or someone and said something about your most precious feeling...that is strange."

Sakura sighed, "I know...what is the most precious feeling we both share?"

Kero shrugged, "Friendship?"

Sakura sighed "Maybe... but what does people disappearing have to do with friendship?"

"SAKURA!!" A voice shouted from downstairs, "Time for dinner!"

Sakura sat up and groaned, "COMING TOUYA!!" She then turned to Kero, "I don't know what to do."

"Just forget about it. Maybe it was just an ordinary dream." Kero said.

Sakura shrugged, "I guess it was."
