Trunks- Who is He?
This smiling cutie is Trunks, heart throb the world over. Born to Bulma and Vegeta, the purple-haired boy grew up without his father in a world of horror in which androids ruled. Destroyed one by one, the other Z fighters never influenced Trunks, except for the one other survivor- Gohan. Gohan acted as Trunks' friend, father, brother and teacher, until he was killed when Trunks was 12, giving him the final boost to become Super-Saiyajin. Still unable to defeat the androids, Trunks travelled back in time to meet Goku and tell him of the terrible fate the world was about to face. Defeating Frieza and King Kold soon after arriving, Trunks told all to Goku and headed home to face the terrors in his own time.
Three years later, Trunks re-appeared to help the Z fighters battle the deadly androids, only to find that history as he knew it had been twisted in a completely new direction. Trying to fight these new androids gives Trunks a new chance to meet the heroes he has heard so much about- but especially his father.
When the evil Cell appears, and it becomes obvious that they can't easily beat him, Trunks enters the Hyperbolic Time Chamber with his father Vegeta, and trained for a whole day, eventually surpassing his father.
Later killed in the Cell Games, he is brought back by the Dragonballs and returns to his own time, where he fights and defeats his own Androids and Cell, freeing his world.
