Finally, the last Sonic game for Dreamcast was released- Sonic Adventure 2. Lots of hype had built up around it; but was it is as good as everyone was hoping? Unfortunately not- it lacked the 'adventure' feeling that the original Sonic Adventure gave. It was a good game, but boring at times- especially the Knuckles + Rouge's (treasure hunting) and Tails + Eggman's (E-102 gamma style blasting). Sonic + Shadow's quest seemed to deliver the best blasts of the game. I mean the high speed running and grinding down massive rails plus some neat tricks- that saved SA2 from being rubbish.

It boasted a lot of levels- but as you had to complete each characters level at a time before you could progress to the other characters level, sometimes it was soooo dull! The internet site designed for it- wasn't very well made plus- the downloads weren't to exciting I mean, 'costumes' wow- let's get thrills! No world championships for races or anything, but there was a Chao Black Market- which wasn't to exciting really.

From what I've made out so far- SA2 sounds like a must not have game- well it's not. SA2 is one of the best games I've played on the DC and SA2: Battle looks set to reach new ground and *new* costumes- lol. Each level boasted wide ranges of graphical achievement, background, buildings, tree's, plants and the list go's on...! It also gave some great tunes- especially Sonic's (Rock) and Shadow's (Digital, sort of dance music). If you can get your hands on any of the SA2 cds- I highly recommend it, www.tokyopop.com have a great range. The best and rarest cd is the Sonic Birthday Box's one. It contains all songs from the old + new games and one SA2 track which is mixed together to make like 9 different tracks from the game into one track!

One thing that will blow your mind the most is-

                  *SPOILER ALERT*

the Super Sonic + Hyper Shadow boss level- whoa that's amazing!

Overall: 8/10

"A great game- but lacks the 'adventure' which was seen in SA1"
