Greetings, fellow NGE fans. My name's TommyRude, and here's my page.
Well, for those of you who spend all your time scouring
anipike for new sites, you might know this is my second anime
fan page. I've been kidding about making this page for a long
time, but now I'm finally gonna do it.
I saw the series/movies/etc. of Eva, and I thought they were
pretty damn awesome. The story is unmatched in depth. And I'm
proud to say I'm one of the people who can honestly say they
understand End Of Eva. (At least I think I do.) I'm also a big
Eva fanfic fan. Especially ones about Shinji-Asuka relationships.
Then I saw Ryan Xavier's brainchild. A site call 'Shinji and Rei:
The Unspoken Romance Of Evangelion'. Now, I've seen this kinda
stuff before, and it's usually crap. The difference with Ryan's
site was the attitude with which he attacked Shinji/Asuka fans,
and the vast amount of antilogic used in his 'facts'. This was
kind of a slap in the face to me, so I geared up and readied
myself for war.
Here's a quote from Ryan:
"Where do you people get off saying Asuka and Shinji
are so sweet on each other? I was convinced from about
Episode 5 that if there was any relationship implied,
it was Shinji and Rei. And the other episodes, followed
by both movies, only made me more certain. Apparently
5 million otaku CAN be wrong. So, here's my page. I'm
setting you people straight, whether you like it or not."
Sorry Ryan, but I've gotta put the ol' veto on that one. I know
exactly where we get off saying Asuka and Shinji are sweet on each
other. The series makes it pretty damn clear. I don't know where
you get off touting Rei/Shinji, then claiming EoE backs it up,
seeing as End Of Eva was pretty much about Shinji and Asuka. (I'll
explain that as the page develops.) Five million otaku CAN be wrong,
but in this case, it's just you.
As a side note, this page by it's very nature has pretty extreme
spoilers for the series and the movies. Don't go any further if
you don't want to ruin the story for yourself.
